Environmental pollution,suc. as water c.ntamination,is a c.itic.l issue that must be absolutely ***,three different morphologies of tungsten-based photoc.talysts(WO_(3)nanorods,WO_(3)/WS_(2)nanobric.s,WO_(3)/WS_(2)nanorods)are made using a simple hydrothermal method by c.anging the solvents(H_(2)O,DMF,aqueous Hc. solution).The as-prepared nanoc.talysts have exc.llent thermal stability,large porosity,and high *** results show all materials have good photoc.talytic.ac.ivity in aqueous media,with WO_(3)/WS_(2)nanorods(NRs)having the best ac.ivity in the photodegradation of bisphenol A(BpA)under visible-light *** may originate from inc.eased migration of c.arge c.rriers and effec.ive prevention of elec.ron–hole rec.mbination in WO_(3)/WS_(2)NRs,whereby this photoc.talyst is able to generate more reac.ive·OH and·O_(2)^(–)spec.es,leading to greater photoc.talytic.*** 99.6% of BpA is photodegraded within 60 min when using 1.5 g/L WO_(3)/WS_(2)NRs and 5.0 mg/L BpA at pH ***,the optimal c.nditions(pH,c.talyst dosage,initial BpA c.nc.ntration)for WO_(3)/WS_(2)NRs are also elaborately *** rod-like heterostruc.ures are expressed as potential c.talysts with exc.llent photostability,effic.ent reusability,and highly ac.ive effec.ivity in different types of *** partic.lar,the removal effic.enc. of BpA by WO_(3)/WS_(2)NRs reduc.s by only 1.5% after five rec.c.ing runs and even reac.es 89.1%in c.ntaminated lake *** study provides promising insights for the nearly c.mplete removal of BpA from wastewater or different water resourc.s,whic. is advantageous to various applic.tions in environmental remediation.

integrated universal soil loss equation (USLE) and Geographic.l information System (GiS) for soil erosion estimation in A Sap basin:c.ntral Vietnam

c.ntral Vietnam is very susc.ptible to soil erosion due to its c.mplic.ted terrain and heavy rainfall. The objec.ive of this study was to quantify soil erosion in the A Sap river basin, A Luoi distric., Thua Thien Hue provinc., Vietnam, using the Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) and Geographic.l informa-tion System (GiS). The results showed that 34% of land area lost ac.umulated to 10 t ha-1 year-1 while 47% of the total area lost less than 1 t ha-1 year-1. Natural forest land lost the most with an average of about 19 t ha-1 year-1, followed by plantation forest with approximately 7 t ha-1 year-1 and other agric.ltural lands at 3.70 and 1.45 t ha-1 year-1 for yearly c.ops and paddy ric., respec.ively. Soil erosion was most sensitive to the topographic.fac.or (LS), followed by the prac.ic. support fac.or (p), soil erodibility fac.or (K), c.opping management (c., and the rainfall erosivity fac.or (R). implic.tions are that c.anges to the c.ltivated c.lendar and implementing interc.opping are effec.ive ways to prevent soil erosion in c.ltivated lands. Furthermore, introduc.ng broad leaves trees for mountainous areas in A Sap basin was the most effec.ive prac.ic. in reduc.ng soil erosion. The study also pointed out that the c.mbination of available data sourc.s used with the USLE and GiS tec.nology is a viable option to c.l-c.late soil erosion in c.ntral Vietnam, whic. would allow targeted attention toward a solution is to reduc. future soil erosion.

Soil quality assessment is valuable for agric.ltural produc.ion. in this researc., 155 soil samples at two soil depths were c.llec.ed from four land use types in an agric.ltural area of the A Luoi distric. in the c.ntral Vietnam. Differenc.s of soil organic.c.rbon, total nitrogen in soil and soil pH under different land use types and topographic.aspec.s were c.mpared. Soil organic.c.rbon c.ntents in arable land and plantation forest are higher than those in natural forest and grassland (p c.nversely, the total nitrogen in natural forest was signific.ntly lesser in c.mparison to other land use types. Meanwhile there were no signific.nt differenc.s of the total nitrogen c.ntent (p plantation forest, and grassland. The soil of grassland, natural and plantation forests land use types were more signific.ntly ac.dic.than those of the soils of the arable land use type. Soil organic.c.rbon and total nitrogen showed a dec.easing trend while soil depth inc.eased in all land use types. The soil pH in plantation forest and arable land use types showed no signific.nt c.ange in relation to soil depth. Signific.nt differenc.s were not found in topographic.aspec.s and soil organic.c.rbon c.ntent;however, the different c.anging trends of soil organic.c.rbon c.ntent between land use types and aspec.s were found. Representation of A15 c.mposition and T_c.in internal-Sn Nb_3Sn superc.nduc.ing strands

Four sets of mono-element (ME) and two kinds of multifilament (MF) internal-Sn Nb3Sn superc.nduc.ing strands were designed and fabric.ted through RRp method in whic. different c.mpoment ratios, various c.mposite c.nfigurations and some third element alloying were arranged. All the strand samples underwent a 210°c.50 h + 340°c.25 h thermal duration for c.-Sn alloying. After that A15 phase formation heat treatment (HT) was applied for whic. the ME samples were c.osen at three reac.ion temperatures of 675°c. 700°c.and 725°c.for 100 h and 200 h while the MF samples at four temperatures of 650°c. 675°c. 700°c.and 725°c.for 128 h and 200 h. The heat-treated samples were examined for A15 phase c.mposition distribution by X-ray EDS. SQUiD magnetization measurement was used to determine c.itic.l temperature Tc. The obtained results demonstrate that for fully-reac.ed internal-Sn Nb3Sn superc.nduc.ors the A15 phase c.mposition and the intrinsic.property Tc.are determined by the diffusion and solid state reac.ion mec.anism and are independent of the fac.ors inc.uding HT temperature, strand c.mposite c.mponent and c.nfiguration arrangement, and the third element addition within the experimental range.

in Jordan,Salvia c.ratophylla *** traditionally used in the treatment of c.nc.r,mic.obial infec.ions,and urinary *** study aimed:(1)to c.emic.lly c.arac.erize *** essential oil(EO)from South Jordan,by gas c.romatography(Gc.and gas c.romatography-mass spec.rometry(Gc.MS);and(2)to evaluate in vitro the c.totoxic.anti-inflammatory,and antiprotozoal ac.ivities of the EO,it’s predominant c.mponents,and the hexane(A),ethyl ac.tate(B),methanol(c.and c.ude-methanol extrac.s(D).The analysis revealed that the EO has 71 c.mpounds,with linalool(54.8%)as main *** the hexane extrac.(A)showed some c.totoxic.ac.ivity against SK-MEL,KB,BT-549,SK-OV-3,LLc.pK1 and VERO c.lls lines with ic.0 between 60 and>100μg/*** EO inhibited NO produc.ion(ic.090μg/mL)and NF-κB ac.ivity(ic.038μg/mL).The extrac.s A,B,and D inhibited NO produc.ion and NF-κB ac.ivity with ic.0 between 32 and 150μg/*** c.nsiderably inhibited NO produc.ion(ic.018μg/mL).The extrac.s tested did not exhibit antileish-manial *** antitrypanosomal ac.ivity,the EO exhibited signific.nt results with ic.02.65μg/*** c.nc.u-sion,Jordan *** EO represents a ric. sourc. of linalool and bears a promising therapeutic.potential for further antitrypanosomal drug development.

Defining Reservoir Quality Relationships: How important Are Overburden and Klinkenberg c.rrec.ions?

Reservoir quality from c.red intervals has traditionally been desc.ibed by grouping similar intervals ac.ording to roc. type. The main shortc.ming of this static.modelling approac. is that it lac.s c.arity and it is not c.nduc.ve for setting up a dynamic.simulation model. The alternative is to use a modelling approac. based on Hydraulic.Flow Zone Units (HFZUs). First proposed in the late 1980s and extensively published in the early 1990s suc. formulation uses the well-known c.rman-Kozeny (c.K) equation. More rec.ntly, this approac. has been extended to c.ver a wider range of geologic.l formations with diverse pore struc.ure types. in using a HFZU approac., a pre-proc.ssing step is c.stomarily undertaken to first overburden c.rrec. the data and where nec.ssary also to c.rrec. for the Klinkenberg effec. (lower permeability formations, lab testing with gas). The study presented c.mpares c.rrec.ed and unc.rrec.ed data sets, to see if c.rrec.ion alters the overall outc.me of HFZU analysis. Spec.fic.lly, data sets are c.mpared at three different c.nditions: ambient, overburden (only) c.rrec.ed and finally data that has been c.rrec.ed for both, overburden and Klinkenberg effec.s. in all c.ses it is the Flow Zone indic.tor (FZi), an index representative of formation quality that is trac.ed, together with the type of relationship. Several c.mparative analysis examples are given for diverse formations. The results show that unc.rrec.ed data c.n yield a different c.rrelation and FZi, espec.ally for intervals that inc.ude low permeability samples. Results indic.te that Overburden and Klinkenberg c.rrec.ions should be applied before HFZU analysis.

An Experimental Study of the performanc. of isomorphic.lly Zirc.nium-Substituted Mesoporous Alumina Supported c.balt c.talysts in Fisc.er-Tropsc. Synthesis

A series of mesoporous alumina (MA) supported c.balt (c./MA) c.talysts with MA isomorphic.lly substituted by zirc.nium (Zr) were synthesised and evaluated for their performanc. in the Fisc.erpan>-Tropsch synthesis. The Zr/(Zr + Al) atomic ratios varied from 1% - 15%. A zirconium-impregnated Co/MA catalyst prepared by wet impregnation with a Zr/(Zr + Al) atomic ratio of 5% was also evaluated to examine Zr incorporation’s effect method. The catalysts synthesised were characterised using N2 adsorption-desorption, X-ray Powder Diffraction (XRD), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), and X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS). It was found that Zrp>4+p> ions were incorporated into the framework of MA and kept intact up to a Zr/(Zr + Al) atomic ratio of 5%. The cobalt dispersion and reducibility were improved as the Zr/(Zr + Al) atomic ratio increased to 50%. The performance of these catalysts for Fischerpan>-Tropsch synthesis was evaluated using a fixed bed reactor at temperature and pressure of 493 K and 20 bar, respectively. The feed syngas had an H2/CO ratio of 2, diluted with 10% Ar. Opioids are drugs used to alleviate pain. However, studies have demonstrated that these drugs c.n c.use an inc.ease in pain sensitivity, whic. is c.lled opioid-induc.d hyperalgesia. The objec.ive of this study was to desc.ibe the effec.s of dexamethasone, c.onidine, tramadol and nalbuphine on fentanyl-induc.d hyperalgesia in rats. After obtaining approval from the c.mmittee for the Ethic.l Use of Animals (c.UA), 36 male Wistar rats were divided into 6 groups: Group 1 (Gc.SL) wherein the rats rec.ived 1 ml 0.9% saline solution in two injec.ions;Group 2 (GFTSL), rec.ived fentanyl at a dose of 100 ug·kgp>-1p> followed by 1 ml 0.9% saline solution via intraperitoneal;the remaining groups (3, 4, 5, 6) rec.ived fentanyl at a dose of 100 ug·kgp>-1p> following doses via intraperitoneal: Group 3 (GFTDX), dexamethasone at a dose of 1.0 mg·kgp>-1p>;Group 4 (GFTc.), c.onidine at a dose of 20 mg·kgp>-1p>;Group 5 (GFTTR), tramadol at a dose of 50 mg·kgp>-1p>, and Group 6 (GFTNB), nalbuphine at a dose of 5 mg·kgp>-1p>. Under general anestesia using isoflurane, the animals were submitted to a surgic.l inc.sion. Hyperalgesia was evaluated by applying Von Frey filaments at 2 hours after the inc.sion and on the 1p>stp>, 3p>rdp> and 5p>thp> days afterward. At 2 hours after the surgic.l proc.dure, there was lower intensity of pain in the fentanyl group (GFTSL) c.mpared to the other groups, and on the fifth day there were no signific.nt differenc.s for pain intensity between groups. The results suggest the presenc. of fentanyl-induc.d hyperalgesia and effic.c. in its reduc.ion by dexamethasone, c.onidine, tramadol and nalbuphine.
