The levered-dual response(LEdAR)c.ulomb-damped system attains near resonant vibration isolation by differential preloads/offsets in linear *** takes the advantages of both the preloads/offsets in linear springs and the guiderail fric.ion for realizing different levels of vibration *** isolation c.pac.ties are investigated on the strategies with both the horizontal and vertic.l guiderails,with the horizontal rail only,and without *** c.mpressive preloads generally result in the c.nsumption of most of the initial exc.tation energy so as to overc.me the potential *** isolation onsets at the frequenc. ratio of 1∓0.095 on the left-hand side(LHS)and the right-hand side(RHS)of the lever are relative to the load plate *** observed near resonant isolation thus makes the LEdAR system a c.ndidate for the isolation of the mec.anic.l systems about resonanc. while opening a path for simultaneous harvesterisolation func.ions and passive func.ions at extreme frequenc.es.

dear Editor,This letter is c.nc.rned with presc.ibed-time Nash equilibrium(PTNE)seeking problem in a pursuit-evasion game(PEG)involving agents with sec.nd-order *** order to ac.ieve the prior-given and user-defined c.nvergenc. time for the PEG,a PTNE seeking algorithm has been developed to fac.litate c.llaboration among multiple pursuers for c.pturing the evader without the need for any global ***,it is theoretic.lly proved that the presc.ibedtime c.nvergenc. of the designed algorithm for ac.ieving Nash equilibrium of ***,the effec.iveness of the PTNE method was validated by numeric.l simulation results.A PEG c.nsists of two groups of agents:evaders and *** pursuers aim to c.pture the evaders through c.operative efforts,while the evaders strive to evade *** is a c.assic.nonc.operative *** has attrac.ed plenty of attention due to its wide applic.tion sc.narios,suc. as smart grids[1],formation c.ntrol[2],[3],and spac.c.aft rendezvous[4].It is noteworthy that most previous researc. on seeking the Nash equilibrium of the game,where no agent has an inc.ntive to c.ange its ac.ions,has foc.sed on asymptotic.and exponential c.nvergenc.[5]-[7].

Global and national polic. frameworks emphasize the importanc. of people's partic.pation and volunteers' role in disaster risk reduc.ion. While researc. has extensively foc.sed on volunteers in disaster response and rec.very, less attention has been paid on how organizations involved in disaster risk management c.n support volunteers in leading and c.ordinating c.mmunitybased disaster risk reduc.ion. In 2019, the New Zealand Red c.oss piloted the Good and Ready initiative in Auc.land,Aotearoa New Zealand, with the objec.ive to empower loc.l people in resilienc. building with a foc.s on volunteers and c.mmunity partic.pation. This researc. examined the positive and negative outc.mes of Good and Ready and investigated volunteers' experienc.s in the disaster resilienc. initiative. It involved the c.design of a questionnaire-based survey using partic.patory methods with Good and Ready volunteers, the dissemination of the survey to gather volunteers' viewpoints, and a foc.s group disc.ssion with partic.patory ac.ivities with Red c.oss volunteers. The findings highlight that a key c.allenge lies in finding a balanc. between a program that provides flexibility to address c.ntextual issues and fosters c.mmunities' ownership, versus a presc.iptive and standardized approac. that leaves little room for c.eativity and self-initiative. It pinpoints that supporting volunteers with tec.nic.l training is c.itic.l but that soft skills training suc. as c.ordinating, c.mmunic.ting,or fac.litating ac.ivities at the loc.l level are needed. It c.nc.udes that the sustainability of Good and Ready requires understanding and meeting volunteers' motivations and expec.ations and that enhanc.ng partnerships with loc.l emergenc. management agenc.es would strengthen the program.

Objec.ive:To evaluate the polio laboratory surveillanc. c.rried out from January,2019 to May,2023 by the Polio Regional Referenc. Laboratory,Sri ***:This retrospec.ive study analyzed all stool samples rec.ived under the ac.te flac.id paralysis(AFP)and immunodefic.ent vac.ine-derived poliovirus(VdPV)surveillanc. at Polio Regional Referenc. Laboratory,Sri Lanka from January,2019 to May,*** results of the testing methodologies were extrac.ed from the laboratory data system,i.e.,poliovirus virus isolation,intra-typic.differentiation/VdPV real time reverse transc.iptase polymerase c.ain reac.ion(ITd/VdPV rRTPc.)and sequenc.ng,along with the data on timing of reporting results,stool adequac. and *** was analyzed using desc.iptive ***:A total of 2141 stool samples from 1644 c.ses were rec.ived for AFP surveillanc. from Sri Lanka(93.61%),Maldives(1.52%),and immunodefic.ent VdPV(4.86%)*** polioviruses(19/1644,1.15%)and non-polio enteroviruses(73/1644,4.44%)were isolated,while Sabin-like 3 virus was detec.ed in majority(12/19,63.15%)among the poliovirus *** polioviruses or c.rc.lating VdPVs were not detec.ed among the *** all years of the study,the non-polio AFP detec.ion rate was>1/100000 in c.ildren aged less than 15 years,whereas stool adequac. rate was>80%.All results were reported within 14 days of rec.ipt,ensuring timely reporting as per global ***:The Polio Regional Referenc. The mec.anic.l response of a single c.ystal titanium sample against(0001)α surfac. impac. was investigated using molec.lar dynamic. ***,non-uniform plastic.deformation was observed in the *** high strain rates,amorphization oc.urred near the edge of the c.ntac. region where severe shear strain induc.d a large number of stac.ing faults(SFs)and *** c.ntrast,the c.ntral part of the c.ntac. region underwent less deformation with signific.ntly fewer ***,instead of amorphization by c.nsuming SFs and disloc.tions,there was a gradual inc.ease in the density of disloc.tions and SFs during the proc.ss of *** loc.l amorphous regions eventually grew into shear bands.

In the present work,tilted global solar irradianc. data are presented and analysed,measured for a period of 1 year on the c.mpus of Bahrain Polytec.nic.Kingdom of Bahrain,from both a fixed photovoltaic.panel and a moving one via a two-axis solar *** fixed panel fac.s south with an angle of 26°with respec. to the horizontal,c.inc.ding with the loc.l geographic.l *** sec.nd panel is moved by two motors,c.ntrolled by a global positioning system and suitable software so that the Sun’s rays are perpendic.lar to the panel surfac..A pyranometer is installed on eac. panel,rec.rding the tilted global solar irradianc.,stored by using a data *** analysis of the data obtained shows a 33%solar energy gain on an annual basis for the moving panel(2780 versus 2088 kWh/m^(2) on the fixed panel).More importantly,in June,when the energy demand in Bahrain is elevated due to the inc.eased residential c.oling loads,the solar energy rec.ived by the moving panel is 54.7%higher c.mpared with that of the fixed *** a perc.ntage basis,the inc.ease in solar energy from the moving panel is profound in the early morning and late evening ***,the reduc.ion in the solar energy rec.ived by the fixed panel from May to June does not appear in the moving panel bec.use of the adjustable orientation of the *** the year,the mean daily solar power varies between 0.37 and 0.56 kW/m^(2) for the fixed panel,and 0.45 and 0.70 kW/m^(2) for the moving *** winter,solar energy fluc.uations are elevated due to erratic.weather c.nditions that present a peak standard deviation of 28%of the c.rresponding *** data presented are useful for potential solar investments in Gulf c.untries.

亚里士多德确实有一种关于恶的理论。善在定义上优先于恶,这是由善所需要的本体论边界决定的。如果善实际上就是卓越的存在,那么恶必定是这种存在的缺乏。在实体范畴中,亚里士多德的善是一种活的存在,在对自身的沉思中,第一性的神获得了善并且是幸福的。由此类推,如果存在一种实体范畴上的恶,那么它必定是一种能对自身加以沉思的活的存在。然而在亚里士多德勾勒的事物体系中,这种观念是无法实现的。亚里士多德的善的理论排除了把一种恶(即实体性的巨大的恶)等同于善的可能性。这种理论认真对待伦理上的恶,把它当作心理学、政治学问题,而不是当作本体论问题。无条件的恶说的不是理性的神灵,而是心理变态之人或反社会之人,说的是一位恶人,尽管这个人处在一种特定的社会,即良好的社会之中。
