Novel perylene bisimide dyes bay-functionalized with naphthalimide chromophores have been prepared conveniently by coupling of 1,8-naphthalimide and dibromoperylene bisimides. Their optical properties were investigated by UV-vis and fluorescence spectroscopy. The absorption spectra of these compounds showed wide spectral responses from 300 to 700 nm, which would be potentials for application as organic solar cells.

In this work, we provide a comprehensive review on the formation, evolution, properties, and effects of supercritical geofluid. In Earth's interior, enhanced miscibility between H2O and silicate by the addition of special components or by the increase of pressure and temperature gives rise to supercritical geofluid with a significant amount of both H2O and silicate *** formation of supercritical geofluid in magmatic-hydrothermal systems, typified by pegmatite system, is governed by meltfluid critical curve. The formation of supercritical geofluid in metamorphic systems, typified by subducted slab, is governed by the second critical end point. Experimental results suggest that the presence of boron and fluorine in pegmatite system makes it possible to form supercritical geofluid at crustal depths, but the release of supercritical geofluid from subducted slab is withheld until almost 100 km depth. A major presence of both H2O and depolymerized structural units（monomers, dimers, etc.） endows supercritical geofluid with unique physical properties including low density, low elastic moduli, low viscosity, high diffusivity,and high electrical conductivity. Supercritical geofluid can effectively mobilize a variety of elements even including high field strength elements and heavy rare earth elements. The chemical signatures of supercritical geofluid can be inherited by metasomatized mantle and mantle-derived melts, and this could give an explanation of the oxidation of arc magmas. Phase separation of supercritical geofluid through the mechanism of spinodal decomposition leads to formation of a melt network. Multiphase fluid inclusions recovered from subduction zone rocks and pegmatites are possible relics of supercritical geofluid. Supercritical geofluid can cause electrical anomaly and low seismic velocity near the top of subducted slab, and can be linked with intermediate-focus earthquakes. Epigenetic mechanisms are integral to plant growth, development, and adaptation to environmental stimuli. Over the past two decades,our comprehension of these complex regulatory processes has expanded remarkably, producing a substantial body of knowledge on both locus-specific mechanisms and genome-wide regulatory patterns. Studies initially grounded in the model plant Arabidopsis have been broadened to encompass a diverse array of crop species, revealing the multifaceted roles of epigenetics in physiological and agronomic traits. With recent technological advancements, epigenetic regulations at the single-cell level and at the large-scale population level are emerging as new focuses. This review offers an in-depth synthesis of the diverse epigenetic regulations, detailing the catalytic machinery and regulatory functions. It delves into the intricate interplay among various epigenetic elements and their collective influence on the modulation of crop traits. Furthermore, it examines recent breakthroughs in technologies for epigenetic modifications and their integration into strategies for crop improvement. The review underscores the transformative potential of epigenetic strategies in bolstering crop performance, advocating for the development of efficient tools to fully exploit the agricultural benefits of epigenetic insights.

In the process of cold tandem rolling,chatter instability leads to serious impacts on enhancing rolling speed,improving product quality,reducing production cost and realizing *** occurs with the rolling speed up to a certain threshold value,but the critical speed is determined by both product specifications and rolling schedules.A 5-stand cold tandem rolling mill whose first three stands and subsequent two stands,respectively,have four and six rolls was investigated by formulating its dynamic equations with the corresponding structure-process *** applying the stability-based calculation model about the critical rolling speed in each stand,the system dynamic responses around the critical rolling speed were simulated,and the system eigenvalues which represent instability and characteristic frequencies were figured ***,via combining the critical rolling speeds with the system dynamic behavior,a dynamics-based optimization model of rolling schedule for the 5-stand cold tandem system was proposed for the purposes of both the chatter suppression and rolling speed *** the optimization model,eight rolling technique parameters(four strip thicknesses and four tensions between the upstream and downstream stands)were taken as design variables,and the constraint conditions were set as no chatter instability in all five stands,and the optimization goal was to maximize the outlet speed of the final *** pattern search method was introduced to solve the optimization *** applying such a dynamics-based optimization model for the 5-stand cold tandem rolling process,the chatter instability was suppressed effectively and the rolling efficiency was improved considerably;therefore,such an optimization model is expected to be valuable for intelligent manufacturing of rolling process.

Poly（maleic anhydride-coacrylic acid）,P（MA-AA）,was synthesized by the free-radical copolymerization of maleic anhydride with acrylic acid,and fast responsive pH-sensitive poly（maleic anhydride-co-acrylic acid）/polyethylene glycol,P（MA-AA）/PEG,hydrogels were prepared using PEG as macromolecular cross-linking ***-IR and ~1H-NMR spectrometry were applied to characterize the structure of P（MA-AA）.The influences of pH and ionic strength on the swelling behavior of P（MA-AA）/PEG hydrogels and the swelling-deswelling changes along with the repeated changes between acid and alkali conditions were *** results showed that there was a hundredfold difference in the swelling ratios between the conditions of acid and alkali,and the swelling capability could not be weakened after multiple swelling-deswelling *** results of swelling kinetics demonstrated that the response rate of P（MA-AA）/PEG hydrogels was very fast,because the swelling transition points always occurred at 10 *** pH-responsive hydrogels reported here might be a smart material for potentially applications in many areas,including biosensors,drug-delivery devices and tissue engineering.

This paper deals with the problem of estimator-based sliding mode control against denial-of-service(DoS) attacks and discrete events via a time-delay approach. A networked system is considered an uncertain dynamical system with matched and mismatched perturbations and exogenous disturbance in the network environment. A network-resource-aware event-triggering mechanism is designed with aperiodically releasing system measurements. Furthermore, to describe the DoS attack duration and inter-event time, a time-delay modeling approach considers the DOS attack duration and inter-event time as a “time delay” of the measurements between the sensor and controller over the network is proposed. Consequently, an intervaltime-delay system with uncertainties is formulated. A state-observer-based sliding mode controller, by which the ideal sliding mode can be achieved, is proposed against the DoS attacks. The resulting sliding motion is proved to be robust and stable with an Lgain performance. Finally, the effectiveness and applicability of the present sliding mode control are validated in a simulated pendulum system.

In this work,Monte Carlo simulations are used to study the critical adsorption behaviors of flexible polymer chains under the action of an external driving force F parallel to an attractive flat *** critical adsorption temperature Tc decreases linearly with increasing F,indicating that the driving force suppresses the adsorption of *** conformation of polymer is also affected by the driving ***,the effect of F is dependent on the competition between the driving force and *** strong force or at low temperature,the polymer is stretched along the direction of the force,while under weak force or at high temperature,the polymer is not *** the force is comparable to the temperature,the polymer may be stretched perpendicular to the driving force,and below Tc,we observe conformational transitions from parallel to perpendicular and again to parallel by decreasing the *** found that the perpendicular stretched conformation leads the polymer chain to synchronously move along the direction of the driving ***,the conformational transitions are attributed to the competition and cooperation between the driving force and the temperature.

The environmental hazards and"carbon footprint"of oil and gas drilling can be significantly reduced by replacing traditional petroleum-based chemical additives with natural materials derived from plants and *** paper explored for the first time the interaction mechanism between natural rubber latex(NRL)and bentonite suspensions(BTs)through a series of characterization experiments,as well as the potential applications in water-based drilling fluids(WBDF).The gel viscoelasticity experiments showed that NRL could decrease the consistency coefficient(k)and flow index(n)of BTs,and enhance the shear thinning performance of BTs as pseudo-plastic *** addition,0.5 w/v%NRL not only increased the critical yield stress and strengthened the structural strength between the bentonite particles,but also facilitated the compatibility of pressure loss and flow *** evaluation of colloidal stability and WBDF performance indicated that NRL particles could promote the hydration and charge stability on the surface of BTs particles,and optimize the particle size distribution and flow resistance of WBDF under the"intercalation-exfoliation-encapsulation"synergistic ***,NRL can improve the rheological properties of WBDF at high temperatures(ling the pores and cracks of the filter cake,which ultimately reduces the permeability of the cake and the filtration loss of WBDF.
