The effective plugging of artificial fractures is key to the success of temporary plugging and diverting fracturing technology,which is one of the most promising ways to improve the heat recovery efficiency of hot dry rock.At present,how temporary plugging agents plug artificial fractures under high temperature remains unclear.In this paper,by establishing an improved experimental system for the evaluation of temporary plugging performance at high temperature,we clarified the effects of high temperature,injection rate,and fracture width on the pressure response and plugging efficiency of the fracture.The results revealed that the temporary plugging process of artificial fractures in hot dry rock can be divided into four main stages:the initial stage of temporary plugging,the bridging stage of the particles,the plugging formation stage,and the high-pressure dense plugging stage.As the temperature increases,the distribution distance of the temporary plugging agent,the number of pressure fluctuations,and the time required for crack plugging increases.Particularly,when the temperature increases by 100℃,the complete plugging time increases by 90.7%.

Auto-thermal reforming of acetic acid for hydrogen production by Zn_(x)Ni_(y)CrO_(m±δ) catalysts:Effect of Cr promoted Ni-Zn intermetallic compound

A series of Zn_(x)Ni_(y)CrO_(m±δ)catalysts were synthesized via a typical co-precipitation method,in which Zn-Cr layered double hydroxides(LDHs)were found and Ni-Zn intermetallic compound(IMC)was formed after reduction in hydrogen.During auto-thermal reforming(ATR)of acetic acid(HAc),the Ni-Zn IMC was transformed into Ni/(amorphous-ZnO)-ZnCr_(2)O_(4) species with uniformed distribution and appropriate interaction within these Ni-Zn-Cr-O species;besides,the adsorbed oxygen promoted the activation and transfer of oxygen species;therefore,deactivation by oxidation,sintering and coking was inhibited.And the optimized Zn_(2.37)Ni_(0.63)CrO_(4.5±δ)catalyst presented high activity and stability in a 45-h ATR test with HAc conversion near 100%and hydrogen yield at 2.7 mol-H_(2)/mol-HAc,showing potential for hydrogen production via ATR of HAc.

In this paper,we focus on the immiscible compressible two-phase flow described by the coupled compressible Navier-Stokes system and the modified Allen-Cahn equations.The generalized Navier boundary condition and the relaxation boundary condition are established in order to solve the problem of moving contact lines on the solid boundary by using the principle of minimum energy dissipation.The existence and uniqueness for local strong solution in three dimensional bounded domain for this type of boundary value problem is obtained by the elementary energy method and the maximum principle.

Platoon control is widely studied for coordinating connected and automated vehicles(CAVs)on highways due to its potential for improving traffic throughput and road safety.Inspired by platoon control,the cooperation of multiple CAVs in conflicting scenarios can be greatly simplified by virtual platooning.Vehicle-to-vehicle communication is an essential ingredient in virtual platoon systems.Massive data transmission with limited communication resources incurs inevitable imperfections such as transmission delay and dropped packets.As a result,unnecessary transmission needs to be avoided to establish a reliable wireless network.To this end,an event-triggered robust control method is developed to reduce the use of communication resources while ensuring the stability of the virtual platoon system with time-varying uncertainty.The uniform boundedness,uniform ultimate boundedness,and string stability of the closed-loop system are analytically proved.As for the triggering condition,the uncertainty of the boundary information is considered,so that the threshold can be estimated more reasonably.Simulation and experimental results verify that the proposed method can greatly reduce data transmission while creating multi-vehicle cooperation.The threshold affects the tracking ability and communication burden,and hence an optimization framework for choosing the threshold is worth exploring in future research.

Are Early Embryo Cleavage Kinetics Affected by Energy Substrates in Different Culture Media?

Objective This study aimed to investigate the influence of different culture media on early embryonic cleavage kinetics using time-lapse analysis and to determine the possible relationships between energy substrates in culture media and the cleavage kinetics.Methods A total of 10021 embryos from 1310 couples were cultured in time-lapse incubators.Embryos cultured in Vitrolife media were allocated to group I,and those in COOK media to group II.Embryo cleavage time points up to the 8-cell stage(t2–t8)were observed after pronuclei fading.Results The baseline demographic features,in vitro fertilization indications,ovarian stimulation protocol,oocyte-cumulus complexes,fertilization rate,together with pregnancy and perinatal outcomes were similar(P>0.05)between groups I and II.According to the time-lapse analysis,all embryos in group I showed significantly faster cleavage speed than those in group II(P<0.05).Furthermore,there was better synchrony in division(s3)and a longer length of the third cell cycle duration(cc3)in group II.Interestingly,implanted embryos in group II showed faster cleavage speed than those in group I,especially at t4 and t7.The glucose contents and multiple major amino acids were similar between the two groups.Lactic and pyruvic acid contents were generally higher in group I than those in group II.Conclusion Because different commercial culture media may influence cleavage kinetics of embryos,it is essential for embryologists to take culture media into consideration in selecting a potential embryo when using a time-lapse system before implantation.

GW842166X Alleviates Osteoarthritis by Repressing LPS-mediated Chondrocyte Catabolism in Mice

Objective To explore the role and underlying mechanism of GW842166X on osteoarthritis and osteoarthritis-associated abnormal catabolism.Methods The extracted mouse chondrocytes were treated with GW842166X followed by lipopolysaccharide(LPS).The chondrocytes were divided into the control group,LPS group,LPS+50 nmol/L GW842166X group,and LPS+100 nmol/L GW842166X group.The cytotoxicity of GW842166X was tested using the CCK-8 assay.Western blot,RT-qPCR,and ELISA were applied to evaluate the expression of the inflammatory biomarkers in mouse chondrocytes.The expression of extracellular matrix molecules was detected by the Western blot,RT-qPCR,and immunofluorescence.Additionally,the activity of NF-κB was checked by the Western blot and immunofluorescence.The mouse Hulth models were generated to examine the in vivo effects of GW842166X on osteoarthritis.Hematoxylin and eosin staining,safranin O/fast green staining,and immunohistochemistry were applied to detect the histological changes.Results GW842166X below 200µmol/L had no cytotoxicity on the mouse chondrocytes.LPS-induced high expression of TGF-β1,IL-10,TNF-α,and IL-6 was significantly reduced by GW842166X.In addition,GW842166X upregulated the expression of aggrecan and collagen type III,which was downregulated after the LPS stimulation.The upregulated expression of ADAMTS-5 and MMP-13 by LPS stimulation was dropped in response to the GW842166X treatment.Furthermore,LPS decreased the IκBαexpression in the cytoplasm and increased the nuclear p65 expression.However,these changes were reversed by the GW842166X pretreatment.Moreover,the damages in the knees caused by the Hulth surgery in mice were restored by GW842166X.Conclusion GW842166X impeded the LPS-mediated catabolism in mouse chondrocytes,thereby inhibiting the progression of osteoarthritis.

Objective:To investigate the protective effect of Tadehaginoside on vascular endothelial cell injury induced by reactive nitrogen.Methods:MTT colorimetry was used to detect the effect of Tadehaginoside on the survival rate of EA.hy 926 endothelial cells in the concentration range of 5~160μmol/L;1 h after pre-administration of Tadehaginoside,0.5 mM GSNO was given to damage endothelial cells.Detect the mitochondrial specific factors COX-1,ND-1 and inflammatory factor IL-1βof EA.hy 926 cells damaged by GSNO by Real time-PCR method gene intervention.At the same time,Western blot was used to detect the changes in Bax and Bcl-2 protein expression.The mitochondrial membrane potential kit(JC-1)was used to detect the change of Tadehaginoside on the mitochondrial membrane potential after GSNO induced EA.hy 926 cell injury.Results:The results of the MTT method showed that Tadehaginoside had no obvious cytotoxicity on EA.hy 926 cells in the range of 5~160μmol/L,and the optimal protective concentration of the drug was 40μmol/L.Western Blot method showed that BAX protein expression increased in a time-dependent manner after GSNO damaged EA.hy 926 cells over time,while Bcl-2 protein expression was the opposite.Real time-PCR results showed that Tadehaginoside can significantly up-regulate COX-1 gene(P<0.05),and can significantly inhibit GSNO induced ND-1(P<0.05)and IL-1βgene up-regulation(P<0.01).At the same time,the results of JC-1 showed that Tadehaginoside could significantly protect the mitochondrial membrane potential from GSNO damage.Conclusion:The GSNO damage model may induce the increase of Bax and other pro-apoptotic proteins through mitochondrial DNA damage and reduce the expression of anti-apoptotic factor Bcl-2.Tadehaginoside has a certain protective effect on endothelial cell mitochondrial damage induced by reactive nitrogen,and its mechanism is related to inhibiting the expression of ND-1 and IL-1βgenes and upregulating the expression of COX-1 genes.

A Fuzzy Decision Based WSN Localization Algorithm for Wise Healthcare

Wise healthcare is a typical application of wireless sensor network(WSN), which uses sensors to monitor the physiological state of nursing targets and locate their position in case of an emergency situation. The location of targets need to be determined and reported to the control center,and this leads to the localization problem. While localization in healthcare field demands high accuracy and regional adaptability, the information processing mechanism of human thinking has been introduced,which includes knowledge accumulation, knowledge fusion and knowledge expansion. Furthermore, a fuzzy decision based localization approach is proposed. Received signal strength(RSS) at references points are obtained and processed as position relationship indicators, using fuzzy set theory in the knowledge accumulation stage; after that, optimize degree of membership corresponding to each anchor nodes in different environments during knowledge fusion; the matching degree of reference points is further calculated and sorted in decision-making, and the coordinates of several points with the highest matching degree are utilized to estimate the location of unknown nodes while knowledge expansion. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm get better accuracy performance compared to several traditional algorithms under different typical occasions.
