Hepatitis C virus genotype 4(HCV-GT4)is a risk factor for cirrhosis,hepatocellular carcinoma and liver failure.A combination of three new direct-acting antivirals ombitasvir,paritaprevir,and ritonavir has been recommended for treatment of HCV-GT4 *** current study was aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of this combination plus ribavirin in non-cirrhotic,treatment-naive and-experienced egyptians with HCV-GT4 infection in a real-world setting.A total of 255 egyptians with HCV-GT4 infection were enrolled,including 82 treatment-experienced and 173 treatment-naive *** of them completed 12-week treatment protocol of ombitasvir,paritaprevir and ritonavir as an oral dose combination with *** response(VR)was measured,as well as the biochemical parameters related to treatment efficacy and adverse events at baseline and after treatment,at 4(VR4)and 12(VR12)weeks *** results showed that the VR4 rates were 98.8%in both groups,and VR12 rates were 97.7%and 96.3%in treatment-naive and-experienced patients,respectively,with no significant differences found between the groups concerning VR4(P=0.9)and VR 12(P=0.3).The most common adverse events were headache and fatigue,which were significantly more common(P=0.001 and 0.003,respectively)in treatment-experienced than in treatment-naive *** quadruple regimen was well-tolerated,and the reported adverse events were generally mild to *** real-world setting study confirms that the combination of ombitasvir,paritaprevir,ritonavir,and ribavirin is highly effective in the treatment of HCV-GT4 infection with a good safety and tolerability profile.

Molecular and serological prevalence of Toxoplasma gondii in pregnant women and sheep in egypt

Objective: To investigate molecular and serological prevalence of Toxoplasma gondii(***) in pregnant women and sheep in ***: Blood samples collected from healthy 364 pregnant women and 170 sheep were investigated for *** antibodies and parasitemia using highly specific and sensitive surface antigen(TgSAG2) based enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(eLISA)and real time-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR).Results: Overall prevalence of *** was 51.76%, 17.65% in sheep, 33.79%, 11.81%in pregnant women, using eLISA and RT-PCR *** differences in *** prevalence were observed on the basis of contact with cats or soil in pregnant women using either RT-PCR or *** pregnant women, a significant increase was detected in aged and those eating under-cooked mutton using simultaneous eLISA/***: Consumption of under-cooked infected mutton is an important source of human infection and the combination of the two assays provide accurate and precise data during infection.

Vibrational, rotational, and triaxiality features in extended O(6) dynamical symmetry of IBM using three-body interactions

The shape transition between the vibrational U(5)and deformed c-unstable O(6)dynamical symmetries of sd interacting boson model has been investigated by considering a modified O(6)Hamiltonian,providing that the coefficients of the Casimir operator of O(5)are N-dependent,where N is the total number of *** modified O(6)Hamiltonian does not contain the number operator of the d boson,which is responsible for the vibrational *** addition,the deformation features can be achieved without using the SU(3)limit by adding to the O(6)dynamical symmetry the three-body interaction[QQQ]^(0),where Q is the O(6)symmetric quadrupole ***,triaxiality can be generated through the inclusion of the cubic d-boson interaction[d+d+d+]^(3)·∣ddd∣^(3).The classical limit of the potential energy surface(PeS),which represents the expected value of the total Hamiltonian in a coherent state,is studied and *** modified O(6)model is applied to the even–even^124-132 Xe *** parameters for the Hamiltonian and the PeSs are calculated using a simulated search program to obtain the minimum root mean square deviation between the calculated and experimental excitation energies and B(e2)values for a number of low-lying levels.A good agreement between the calculations and experiment results is found.

efficacy of Oral Antigen Specific Immunotherapy on Desensitization of Some Autoimmune Diseases Associated with Milk Allergy

There are several reports on the prevalence and importance of milk allergens in the induction of allergic diseases, whereas its role in the induction of autoimmune disease was rarely studied. So, the present work aimed to study the diagnosis and the efficacy of oral antigen specific immunotherapy (OAIT) on two groups of autoimmune disease patients namely, rheumatic arthritis (RA), group II, and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLe), group III, who has allergens for milk as an effective treatment option. From the assessment of the data obtained and the clinical outcome of RA and SLe patients after food elimination strategy and milk immunotherapy, it was evident that there were significant reductions (P e levels of total Ige, specific Ige, Rheumatic factor (R.F), C-reactive protein (C.R.P), Anti-nuclear antibodies (ANA) and anti-double stranded DNA antibodies (Anti-ds DNA) compared to pretreated levels. Moreover, the immunotherapy induced “blocking antibodies” by remarkable highly significant increasing in IgG, phagocytic inhibition test (PIT %), Complement component 3(C3), and Complement component 4 (C4) levels. More improvement was noticed in the SLe as a result of the immunotherapy. Conclusion: milk desensitization is a gained interest and a safe valuable effective treatment of autoimmune conditions in egypt.

AIM:To investigate cell cycle proteins in chronic hepatitis C virus infection in order to analyze their role in the process of hepatocyte transformation and to characterize their prognostic properties. MeTHODS:Subjects of the current study included 50 cases of chronic hepatitis C(CHC) without cirrhosis,30 cases of CHC with liver cirrhosis(LC) ,and 30 cases of hepatitis C-related hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) admitted to the Department of Hepato-Gastroenterology,Theodor Bilharz Research Institute(TBRI) ,Giza,*** wedge liver biopsies,taken during laparoscopic cholecystectomy,were also included as normal *** investigations including urine and stool analysis,liver function tests and prothrombin concentration;serologic markers for viral hepatitis and ultrasonography were done for all cases of the study together with immunohistochemical analysis using primary antibodies against Cyclin D1,Cyclin e,p21,p27 and Rb/p105 proteins. ReSULTS:Normal wedge liver biopsies didn't express Cyclin e or Rb/p105 immunostaining but show positive staining for Cyclin D1,p21 and *** D1 expressed nuclear staining that was sequentially increased from CHC to LC(Pes;meanwhile,Cyclin e revealed nuclear positivity only in the case of HCCs patients that was directly correlated to Rb/p105 *** expression of p21 and p27 was significantly increased in CHC and LC cases compared to normal controls and HCCs with no significant difference between well-and poorlydifferentiated tumors.p21 showed only a nuclear pattern of staining,while,p27 presented with either cytoplasmic and/or nuclear reactivity in all studied *** analysis revealed a direct relation between Cyclin D1 and p21 in CHC cases(Petween Cyclin D1 and Cyclin e in HCCs(Pever,an inverserelationship was detected between Cyclin D1 and p21 or p27(Petween p21 and Rb/p105(Pegulation of Cyclin D1 in CHC p

Pencil Beam Grid Antenna Array for Hyperthermia Breast Cancer Treatment System

In this paper, efficient, high gain and pencil beam grid antenna array is proposed for hyperthermia breast cancer therapy system. The proposed antenna bandwidth extends from 4.8 GHz to 4.9 GHz at resonant frequency of 4.86 GHz. This frequency band has been reported for the breast cancer hyperthermia therapy. The grid long and short sides are responsible for the undesired cross-polarized radiation and desired copolarized radiation, respectively. The unsuitability of the conventional grid antenna array is ensured by investigating its radiation properties. The proposed grid antenna array short side width is varied and its long side width is kept wide as possible to enhance the radiation properties and to reduce the losses. Also, a reflector has been used for gain enhancement purpose. The proposed grid antenna array achieves side lobe level and 3 dB beam width of —27.9 dB and 25.9° for the e-plane and —27.9 dB and 26.3° for the H-plane, respectively. The breast phantom is irradiated by both proposed and conventional grid antenna arrays for 10 minutes. The proposed grid antenna array achieves 8°C temperature increase within the breast phantom area compared to 2°C temperature increase for conventional one. The proposed grid antenna array is highly efficient, high gain and light weight, and it has a very suitable radiation property for hyperthermia breast cancer therapy.

Biochemical changes in phenols,flavonoids,tannins,vitamin e,β-carotene and antioxidant activity during soaking of three white sorghum varieties

Objective:To investigate the changes in total phenols,flavonoids,tannins,vitamin e, β-carotene and antioxidant activity during soaking of three white sorghum ***: The changes in total phenols,total ilavonoids,tannins,phenolic acids compounds,flavonoid components,vitamin e,P-carotene and antioxidant activity during soaking of sorghum grains were ***:Total phenols,total flavonoids,tannins,vitamin e,P-carotene and antioxidant activity in raw sorghum were ranged from 109.21 to 116.70,45.91 to 54.69,1.39 to 21.79 mg/100 g,1.74 to 5.25,0.54 to 1.19 mg/kg and 21.72%to 27.69%and 25.29%to 31.97%,respectively. The above measured compounds were significantly decreased after soaking.p-Hydroxybenzoic acid,vanillic acid,syringic acid and cinnamic acid represent the major phenolic acids in Dorado *** ferulic acid,p-coumaric acid,gallic acid and caffeic acid represent the major phenolic acids in *** the other hand,protocatechuic acid represents the major phenolic acids in *** flavonoids components,Dorado was the highest variety in kampferol and naringenin while Shandaweel-6 was the highest variety in luteolin, apigenin,hypersoid,quercelin and ***,Giza-15 was the highest variety in catechin. Phenolic acids,flavonoid compounds and antioxidant activities were decreased after soaking. Conclusions:Sorghum varieties have moderate quantities from total phenols,total flavonoids, tannins,phenolic acids compounds,flavonoid components,vitamin e,P-carotene and antioxidant activity which decreased after soaking.

The corrosion hindrance of Cu in 2.0 M HNO3 solution by 2-amino-6-methyl-5-oxo-4-phenyl-5,6-dihydro-4H-pyrano[3,2-c]quinoline-3-carbonitrile compound has been studied, using Potentiodynamic Polarization (PP), AC Impedance (eIS), electrochemical Frequency Modulation (eFM) techniques. Also, eIS test was utilized to confirm the corrosion protection mechanism. 2-amino-6-methyl-5-oxo-4-phenyl-5,6-dihydro-4H-pyrano[3,2-c]quinoline-3-carbonitrile compound is suggested as a mixed kind inhibitor. SeM and eDX investigations of the Cu in 2.0 M HNO3 surface revealed that assembles protect Cu from corrosion by adsorption on its surfaces by a forming coating film. Clearly, the assembled mechanisms play a role as a barrier to corrosive solution.

Harnessing of Chemically Modified Rice Straw Plant Waste as Unique Adsorbent for Reducing Organic and Inorganic Pollutants

Conversion of rice straw (RS) as one of agricultural plant wastes (about 45% of the volume of rice production) to valuable industrial product was achieved, by grafting different amounts of dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate (DMAeM) on it using potassium permanganate/nitric acid redox system. This was done to obtain six levels of poly (DMAeM)—rice straw graft copolymers (PDMAeMRS) having different graft yields (expressed as N%) with increasing order and designated as (PDMAeMRS 1 to PDMAeMRS 6). The latter copolymers were dispersed in aqueous solution of heavy metal ions Cu (II) ions and filtered to form rice straw co-polymer—metal ions complex. Different factors affecting the heavy metal ions removal such as pH, extent of grafting, treatment time and rice straw dose were studied in detail. It was found from the obtained results that;the residual metal ions removal from their aqueous solutions increased with 1) increasing the extent of grafting of PDMAeMRS i.e. from PDMAeMRS 1 to PDMAeMRS 6;2) increasing the pH of the metal ions solution complex from 1 to 8;3) increasing the rice straw dosage from 0.50 to 2.0 g, then leveled off thereafter;4) increasing the time of the reaction up to 20 minute then leveled off after that. On the other hand, Pb (II), Cd (II) and Hg (II) ions were also removed from their solutions with different extent. Furthermore, the prepared co-polymer could be recovered by washing the metal ions from the complex with weak acid 1 N HNO3 (pH 2) and the metal-binding activity of the rice straw was slightly reduced by this process. Finally, the ability of PDMAeMRS to remove three types of acid dyes from their solutions was also reported.

Feasibility and reliability of the revised edmonton Symptom Assessment System(eSAS-r)in egyptian patients with advanced cancer:A single institutional experience

Objective This study aims to test the acceptance, feasibility, and usefulness of the Arabic version of the revised edmonton Symptom AssesSment System （eSAS-r） among egyptian patients with advanced cancer and to compare the rates of symptoms documented by patients and physicians. Methods Between August 2014 and February 2015, a total of 140 patients at Ain Shams University Hospitals in Cairo, egypt received the Arabic version of the eSAS-r. For each patient, the eSAS-r was completed twice, first by the treating physician （as part of the basic assessment） and a second time by the patient, with a maximum of 2 hours between the two assessments. An additional survey was included to assess patients＇ acceptance of the survey and their preferences. Results Out of 140 enrolled patients in the study, 11 patients refused to complete the questionnaire, and 10 patients were excluded due to incomplete records in their medical records. Complete data was retrieved for 119 patients who were included for further analyses. The 78 （65%） patients declared that the test was clear and easy to complete. They were able to answer the test without help. Collectively, tiredness and sense of well-being were the most commonly encountered symptoms in ratings obtained by both patients and physicians. Tiredness was the only symptom showing a significant difference between the two rating methods, patient-rated scores being higher （P = 0.032）. Cronbach＇s alpha showed that both tests com- pleted by the physician and the patients were internally consistent： the physician-rated test had a coefficient of 0.877, and the patient-rated test had a coefficient of 0.863. All eSAS scores had good internal consis- tency, with a Cmnbach＇s alpha coefficient of 0.88. The internal consistency remained high after removal of individual symptom scores, with Cronbach＇s alpha coefficients ranging from 0.823 to 0.902, indicating that no individual question had undue influence on the total eSAS score.
