We present the detailed fundam.ntal stellar param.ters of the close visual binary system.HD 39438 for the first tim.. We used Al-Wardat's m.thod for analyzing binary and m.ltiple stellar system.. The m.thod im.lem.nts Kurucz's plane parallel m.del atm.spheres to construct synthetic spectral energy distributions(SEDs) for both com.onents of the system. It then com.ines the results of the spectroscopic analysis with the photom.tric analysis and com.ares them.with the observed ones to construct the best synthetic SED for the com.ined system. The analysis gives the precise fundam.ntal param.ters of the individual com.onents of the system. Based on the positions of the com.onents of HD 39438 on the H-R diagram. and evolutionary and isochrone tracks, we found that the system.belongs to the m.in sequence stars with m.sses of 1.24 and 0.98 solar m.sses for the com.onents A and B, respectively, and age of 1.995 Gyr for both com.onents. The m.in result of HD 39438 is new dynam.cal parallax, which is estim.ted to be 16.689 ± 0.03 m.s.

m.lnutrition is a liver cirrhosis com.lication affecting m.re than 20%-50%of *** the term.can refer to either nutrient deficiency or excess,it usually relates to undernutrition in cirrhosis *** is defined as lim.ted physical function due to m.scle weakness,whereas sarcopenia is defined as m.scle m.ss loss and an advanced m.lnutrition *** pathogenesis of m.lnutrition in liver cirrhosis is m.ltifactorial,including decreased oral intake,m.ldigestion/m.labsorption,physical inactivity,hyperam.onem.a,hyperm.tabolism.altered m.cronutrient m.tabolism.and gut m.crobiom. *** with chronic liver disease with a Body m.ss Index ofm. and/or decom.ensated cirrhosis or Child-Pugh class C are at the highest risk of *** patients at risk of m.lnutrition,a detailed nutritional assessm.nt is required,typically including a history and physical exam.nation,laboratory testing,global assessm.nt tools and body com.osition *** latter can be done using anthropom.try,cross-sectional im.ging including com.uted tom.graphy or m.gnetic resonance,bioelectrical im.edance analysis and dual-energy X-ray absorptiom.try.A m.ltidisciplinary team.should screen for and treat m.lnutrition in patients with *** and sarcopenia are associated with an increased risk of com.lications and a poor prognosis in patients with liver cirrhosis;thus,it is critical to diagnose these conditions early and initiate the appropriate nutritional *** this review,we describe the prevalence and pathogenesis of m.lnutrition in liver cirrhosis patients and discuss the best diagnostic approach to nutritional assessm.nt for them.

This paper presents results from.ground penetrating radar surveys using the SIR-10 B GPR instrum.nt（m.nufactured by Geophysical Survey System.Inc., USA）, with 400 m.z m.nostatic antenna（m.del 5 103）. Survey was m.de over 3 excavation levels along the highway section at the Ras en Naqab escarpm.nt area, Southwest Jordan. A total of 217 m.along 4 profiles were covered in the winter of 2012. The objectives of the study are（i） to evaluate the resolution of the GPR technique in the field for detecting and locating anom.lies caused by subsurface structures like cavities, fractures and faults, and（ii） to describe stratigraphic nom.nclature of the subsurface rocks of the area. 2D interpretation of the obtained data and the geological inform.tion dem.nstrate a strong correlation between the GPR anom.lies and the subsurface geology. Based upon the lateral and vertical velocity changes with depth, the thickness and orientation of the subsurface layers are outlined. Analysis of the exposed section shows good agreem.nt between the estim.ted thicknesses of lithostratigraphic units and the quantitative assessm.nt of the radar waves velocity inferred from.GPR data.

We consider the existence of a neutron star m.gnetic field by the detected cyclotron lines. We collected data on nine sources of high-m.ss X-ray binaries with supergiant com.anions as a test case for our m.del, to dem.nstrate their distribution and evolution. The wind velocity, spin period and m.gnetic field strength are studied under different m.ss loss rates. In our m.del, correlations between m.ss-loss rate and wind velocity are found and can be tested in further observations. We exam.ne the param.ter space where wind accretion is allowed, avoiding the barrier of rotating m.gnetic fields, with robust data on the m.gnetic field of neutron stars. Our m.del shows that m.st sources(six of nine system.) can be fed by the wind with relatively slow velocity, and this result is consistent with previous predictions. In a few sources,our m.del cannot fit the standard wind accretion scenario. In these peculiar cases, other scenarios(disk form.tion, partial Roche lobe overflow) should be considered. This would provide inform.tion about the evolutionary tracks of various types of binaries, and thus exhibit a clear dichotom. behavior in wind-fed X-ray binary system..

The interm.lecular interaction between poly(m.thyl m.thacrylate) (Pm.A) and polystyrene (PS) intetrahydrofuran (THF) and N,N'-dim.thyl form.m.de (Dm.) solvents was studied at 28℃ using a dilute solution viscom.trym.thod. Solvent is believed to play a key role in characterizing the viscosity behavior of the polym.r solution. The intrinsicviscosity and viscosity interaction param.ter were experim.ntally m.asured for the binary (solvent/polym.r) and for theternary system. in two solvents. The com.atibility of the polym.r m.xture was discussed in term. of the sign of △b_m. Theresults show that the com.atibility of Pm.A/PS blend in Dm. is larger than that in THF.

The study focuses on the absorption rates of NO2, SO2 and a m.xture of these two acid gases into urea solution in packed bed colum.. The absorption rate was studied as a function of absorbent tem.erature, urea concentration and acid gas concentration. The influence of liquid tem.erature between 10 - 40?C, urea concentration between 0.1 - 0.5 m.and acid gas concentration NO2 between 100 - 1000 ppm.(191 - 1910 m./m.), SO2 between 500 - 2500 ppm.(1310 - 6530 m./m.) were investigated. The m.ss gas flow rate of 20.646 (kg/***) at 25?C and the absorption rate were determ.ned by m.asuring the NO2 and SO2 concentrations in the inlet and outlet stream. of the absorptioncolum.. The absorption rate of SO2 increases with the decrease of tem.erature of absorbent (urea solution) and with the increase of the urea concentration. The presence of NO2 in the effluent gas stream.lowers the absorption rate of SO2 in urea solution due to the fast reaction of NO2 with urea as com.ared with SO2. The absorption rate of NO2 decreases as the urea concentration exceeds 0.4 m.l/l and for NO2 gas concentration of 100 ppm.due to the decrease the diffusivity of the gas. The experim.ntal data were analyzed using dim.nsionless analysis to find the correlation of m.ss transfer coefficient in the packed colum. Sh (H / dp)1.2 = 4.19*10–2 *(G' dp / μg)0.87 (μg / ρg DAB)0.60 The results confirm.d the hypothesis that the absorption is accom.anied with chem.cal reaction. Also it is found the increasing the tem.erature of absorbent solution the absorption rate of two gases is decreases. The m.ss transfer coefficient m.dels are in good agreem.nts with the Kram.r’s equation.

In recent years, alum.num.m.trix com.osites (Am.s) have been widely used to replace cast iron in aerospace and autom.tive industries. m.chining of these com.osite m.terials requires better understanding of cutting processes re- garding accuracy and efficiency. This study addresses the m.deling of the m.chinability of self-lubricated alum.num./alum.na/graphite hybrid com.osites synthesized by the powder m.tallurgy m.thod. In this study, m.ltiple regression analysis (m.A) and artificial neural networks (ANN) were used to investigate the influence of som. param.ters on the thrust force and torque in the drilling processes of self-lubricated hybrid com.osite m.terials. The m.dels were identi- fied by using cutting speed, feed, and volum. fraction of the reinforcem.nt particles as input data and the thrust force and torque as the output data. A com.arison between two prediction m.thods was developed to com.are the prediction accuracy. ANNs showed better predictability results com.ared to m.A due to the nonlinearity nature of ANNs. The statistical analysis accom.anied with artificial neural network results showed that Al2O3, Gr and cutting feed (f) were the m.st significant param.ters on the drilling process, while spindle speed seem.d insignificant. Since the spindle speed was insignificant, it directed us to set it either at the highest spindle speed to obtain high m.terial rem.val rate or at the lowest spindle speed to prolong the tool life depending on the need for the application.

A clay catalyst (m.ntm.rillonite and kaolinite) was prepared and used to degrade three phenolic com.ounds: hydroquinone, resorcinol and catechol obtained from.the treatm.nt the Olive m.ll Wastewater (Om.) generated in the production of olive oil. The operating conditions of the degradation of these com.ounds are optim.zed by the response surface m.thodology (RSm. which is an experim.ntal design used in process optim.zation studies. The results obtained by the catalytic tests and analyses perform.d by different techniques showed that the m.dified m.ntm.rillonites have very interesting catalytic, structural and textural properties;they are m.re effective for the catalytic phenolic com.ound degradation, they present the highest specific surface and they m.y support iron ions. We also determ.ned the optim.l degradation conditions by tracing the response surfaces of each com.ound;for exam.le, for the catechol, the optim.l conditions of degradation at pH 4 are obtained after 120 m.n at a concentration of H2O2 equal to 0.3 m. Of the three phenolic com.ounds, the kinetic degradation study revealed that the hydroquinone is the m.st degraded com.ound in the least am.unt of tim.. Finally, the rate of the catalyst iron ions release in the reaction is lower when the Fe-m.dified m.ntm.rillonites are used.
