Understanding the role of neuropilin 2(NRP2)in prostate cancer cells as well as in the bone microenvironment is pivotal in the development of an effective targeted therapy for the treatment of prostate cancer bone *** observed a significant upregulation of NRP2 in prostate cancer cells metastasized to ***,we report that targeting NRP2 in cancer cells can enhance taxane-based chemotherapy with a better therapeutic outcome in bone metastasis,implicating NRP2 as a promising therapeutic ***,osteoclasts present in the tumor microenvironment express NRP2,we have investigated the potential effect of targeting NRP2 in *** results revealed NRP2 negatively regulates osteoclast differentiation and function in the presence of prostate cancer cells that promotes mixed bone *** study further delineated the molecular mechanisms by which NRP2 regulates osteoclast ***,depletion of NRP2 in osteoclasts in vivo showed a decrease in the overall prostate tumor burden in the *** results therefore indicate that targeting NRP2 in prostate cancer cells as well as in the osteoclastic compartment can be beneficial in the treatment of prostate cancer bone metastasis.

A Combined Reinforcement Learning and Sliding Mode Control Scheme for Grid Integration of a PV System

The paper presents development of a reinforcement learning(RL)and sliding mode control(SMC)algorithm for a 3-phase PV system integrated to a *** PV system is integrated to grid through a voltage source inverter(VSI),in which PVVSI combination supplies active power and compensates reactive power of the local non-linear load connected to the point of common coupling(PCC).For extraction of maximum power from the PV panel,we develop a RL based maximum power point tracking(MPPT)*** instantaneous power theory(IPT)is adopted for generation reference inverter current(RIC).An SMC algorithm has been developed for injecting current to the local non-linear load at a reference *** RL-SMC scheme is implemented in both simulation using MATLAB/SIMULINk software and on a prototype PV *** performance of the proposed RL-SMC scheme is compared with that of fuzzy logic-sliding mode control(FL-SMC)and incremental conductance-sliding mode control(IC-SMC)*** the obtained results,it is observed that the proposed RL-SMC scheme provides better maximum power extraction and active power control than the FL-SMC and IC-SMC schemes.

Distinct Role of Core Promoter Architecture in Regulation of Light-Mediated Responses in Plant Genes

In the present study, we selected four distinct classes of light-regulated promoters. The light-regulated promoters can be distinctly grouped into either TATA-box-containing or TATA-less （initiator-containing） promoters. Further, using either native promoters or their swapped versions of core promoter elements, we established that TATA-box and Inr （Initiator） elements have distinct mechanisms which are involved in light-mediated regulation, and these elements are not swappable. We identified that mutations in either functional TATA-box or Inr elements lead to the formation of nucleosomal structure. The nucleotide diversity in either the TATA-box or Inr element in Arabidopsis ecotypes proposes that the nucleotide variation in core promoters can alter the gene expression. We show that motif overrepresentation in light-activated promoters encompasses different specific regulatory motifs present downstream of TSS （transcription start site）, and this might serve as a key factor in regulating light promoters which are parallel with these elements. Finally, we conclude that the TATA-box or Inr element does not act in isolation, but our results clearly suggests the probable involvement of other distinct core promoter elements in concurrence with the TATA-box or Inr element to impart selectivity to light-mediated transcription.

Assessing the oscillation of channel geometry and meander migration cardinality of Bhagirathi River,West Bengal,India

Lateral migration of the Bhagirathi River temporally creates unavoidable geomorphic hazards in West Bengal, India. The Bhagirathi River flows SW for ～67.30 km between the confluence point of Ajay and Jalangi rivers in East Burdwan and Nadia districts of West Bengal. The course of Bhagirathi is notably migration prone and cultivates problematic changes along its course over time. In the study, we have looked into its migration tendency and unpredictability for past 238 years and then predicted the lateral shifting of river centerline using temporal satellite imageries – Landsat-5(TM) of 1987(8, December), 1995(28, January), 2005(7, January) and LISS-IV satellite imagery(2017, 5 January);SOI Toposheet – 1968–1969(79 A/2, 79 A/3, 79 A/6 and 79 A/7) and Rennell's map of 1779. Other highlights are the quest of fluvial features, oxbow lakes, mid-channel bars, channel migration rate, meander geometry, channel sinuosity in different parts of river course and the parts that experience intensive bank erosion. The entire river course has been subdivided into three segments; viz. reaches A, B and C. Investigation displays that degree of sinuosity decreases from its anterior course(1968) to the existing course(2017). Reach-specific outputs display that reach B is highly sinuous(SI value 1.94 in 2017) and SI increases temporarily, whereas for reaches A and C it decreases with time. The rate of migration is higher in reach B than that in reaches C and A. The study displays a notably decreasing trend of migration in comparison with its previous lateral migration and shows that the migration nature over time is intensively inconsistent and unpredictable except very few portions of the river course. The nature of deposition within the river channel shows an unstable behavior during the entire period of the study. Structure and properties of samarium overlayer and Sm/Rh surface alloy on Rh(100)

The structure and properties of Sm overlayer and Sm/Rh surface alloy have been investigated with Auger electron spectroscopy (AES), low energy electron diffraction (LEED), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and temperature programmed desorption spectroscopy (TDS). The growth of Sm on Rh(100) at room temperature (RT) appears following the Stranski-krastanov growth mode and only the trivalent state Sm is observed from XPS results. Thermal treatment of the Sm film at 900 k leads to the formation of　ordered surface alloy which shows the c R45°and c(2 ×2) LEED patterns. Annealing the Sm film at temperature above 400 k makes the binding energy (B.E.) of Sm 3d5/2 shift to higher energy by 0.7 eV, which indicates charge transfer from Sm to Rh(100) substrate, causing the increase of CO desorption temperature.

Without any other approximations apart from the spectral method which is employed,the energy spectra corresponding to two kinds of'negative temperatures'are simulated with a symmetric trapezium *** simulated results with either of the two negative temperatures are reasonably consistent with those from the statistical theory of *** more usual case for two positive temperatures evolves differently from the theoretical *** viscosity influence on the ergodicity is discussed. It is shown that two--dimensional(2D)ideal flows on thesphere have a less pronounced tendency to be ergodic than those on planar geometry due to the curvature of thespherical surface that weakens the interaction between different parts of the flow,enabling these parts to behave inmore relative isolation. The expressions for the standard deviations from a canonical ensemble for the two differentoptions of coefficients are shown to be proportional to in(N is the total number of independent modes in the system),independent of the initial conditions of the system.
