First principles study and comparison of vibrational and thermodynamic properties of XBi(X=In,Ga,B,Al)

In the present work, vibrational and thermodynamic properties of XBi（X = B, Al, Ga, In） compounds are compared and investigated. The calculation is carried out using density functional theory（DFT） within the generalized gradient approximation（GGA） in a plane wave basis, with ultrasoft pseudopotentials. The lattice dynamical properties are calculated using density functional perturbation theory（DFPT） as implemented in Quantum ESPRESSO（QE） code. Thermodynamic properties involving phonon density of states（DOS） and specific heat at constant volume are investigated using quasiharmonic approximation（QHA） package within QE. The phonon dispersion diagrams for InBi, GaBi, BBi, and AlBi indicate that there is no imaginary phonon frequency in the entire Brillouin zone, which proves the dynamical stability of these materials. BBi has the highest thermal conductivity and InBi has the lowest thermal conductivity. AlBi has the largest and GaBi has the smallest reststrahlen band which somehow suggests the polar property of XBi materials. The phonon gaps for InBi, GaBi, BBi and AlBi are about 160 cm^-1, 150 cm^-1, 300 cm^-1, and 150 cm^-1, respectively. For all compounds,the three acoustic modes near the gamma point have a linear behavior. C_V is a function of T-3 at low temperatures while for higher temperatures it asymptotically tends to a constant as expected.

Darcy–Forchheimer Three-Dimensional Flow of Williamson Nanofluid over a Convectively Heated Nonlinear Stretching Surface

The present study elaborates three-dimensional flow of Williamson nanoliquid over a nonlinear stretchable surface. Fluid flow obeys Darcy–Forchheimer porous medium. A bidirectional nonlinear stretching surface generates the flow. Convective surface condition of heat transfer is taken into consideration. Further the zero nanoparticles mass flux condition is imposed at the boundary. Effects of thermophoresis and Brownian diffusion are considered. Assumption of boundary layer has been employed in the problem formulation. Convergent series solutions for the nonlinear governing system are established through the optimal homotopy analysis method(OHAM). Graphs have been sketched in order to analyze that how the velocity, temperature and concentration distributions are affected by distinct emerging flow parameters. Skin friction coefficients and local Nusselt number are also computed and discussed.

Factors influencing pre-hospital delay among patients with acute myocardial infarction in Iran

Background Acute myocardial infarction （AMI） is the leading cause of morbidity and disability among Iranian population. Pre-hospital delay is an important cause of increasing early and also late mortality in AMI. Thus the aim of the present study was to identify the factors influencing pre-hospital delay among patients with AMI in Iran. Methods Between August 2010 and May 2011, a cross-sectional and single-center survey was conducted on 162 consecutive patients with ST-elevation myocardial infarction （STEMI） admitted to Cardiac Care Unit （CCU） of Dr. Heshmat Hospital, Rasht. All patients were interviewed by the third author within 7 days after admission by using a four-part questionnaire including socio-demographic, clinical, situational and cognitive factors. Data were analyzed by descriptive and Logistic regression model at P 〈 0.05 using SPSS 16. Results Mean age was （60.11±12.29） years in all patients. Majority of patients （65.4%） were male. The median of pre-hospital delay was 2 hours, with a mean delay of 7.4 hours （±16.25 hours）. Regression analysis showed that admission in weekend （P 〈0.04, 0R=1.033, 95% Cl=1.187-2.006） and misinterpretation of symptoms as cardiac origin （P 〈0.002, OR=1.986, 95% Cl=1.254-3.155） and perceiving symptoms to not be so serious （P 〈0.003, OR=3.264, 95% Cl=1.492-7.142） were factors influencing pre-hospital delay 〉 2 hours. Conclusions Our findings highlight the importance of cognitive factors on decision-making process and pre-hospital delays. Health care providers can educate the public on AMI to enable them recognize the signs and symptoms of AMI correctly and realize the benefits of early treatment.

Objectives:This study aimed to describe patterns of presentation,etiology,risk factors,management,and treatment outcomes of periurethral abscesses using a systematic review framework.Materials and methods:After prospective registration on the PROSPERO database(CRD42020193063),a systematic review of Web of Science,Embase,PubMed,and Cochrane scientific databases was *** published between 1900 and 2021 were *** data included symptoms,etiology,medical history,investigations,treatment,and *** data were analyzed using univariate methods.Results:Sixty articles met the inclusion criteria reporting on 270 patients(211 male,59 female)with periurethral *** most common clinical features were pain(41.5％),pyuria(41.5％),dysuria(38.5％),urinary frequency(32.3％),fever(25％),and a palpable mass(23％).Predisposing risk factors included the presence of a sexually transmitted infection or urinary tract infection(55.0％),urethral strictures(39.6％),and recent urethral instrumentation(18.7％).Management approaches included open incision and drainage(64.3％),conservative management with antibiotics(29.8％),and minimally invasive techniques(needle aspiration,endoscopic drainage).Time trend analysis of etiology revealed a decreased incidence of infection(sexually transmitted infection/urinary tract infection,human immu-nodeficiency virus)and higher incidence of diabetes mellitus and periurethral bulking injections in recent years.Conclusions:Periurethral abscesses may display a wide range of clinical ***,risk factors and underlying etiology vary with *** optimal management technique is guided by abscess *** incision and drainage combined with antibiotics continues to be the mainstay of ***,minimally invasive techniques are gaining *** the authors'knowledge,this is the first systematic appraisal and management algorithm for periurethral abscess.

Evidence-based Nomenclature and Taxonomy of Research Impact Indicators

Purpose: This study aims to classify research impact indicators based on their characteristics and scope. A concept of evidence-based nomenclature of research impact(RI) indicator has been introduced for generalization and transformation of scope. Design/methodology/approch: Literature was collected related to the research impact assessment. It was categorized in conceptual and applied case studies. One hundred and nineteen indicators were selected to prepare classification and nomenclature. The nomenclature was developed based on the principle—"every indicator is a contextual-function to explain the impact". Every indicator was disintegrated into three parts, i.e. Function, Domain, and Target ***: The main functions of research impact indicators express improvement(63%), recognition(23%), and creation/development(14%). The focus of research impact indicators in literature is more towards the academic domain(59%) whereas the environment/sustainability domain is least considered(4%). As a result, research impact related to the research aspects is felt the most(29%). Other target areas include system and services, methods and procedures, networking, planning, policy development, economic aspects and commercialisation, etc. Research limitations: This research applied to 119 research impact indicators. However, the inclusion of additional indicators may change the result. Practical implications: The plausible effect of nomenclature is a better organization of indicators with appropriate tags of functions, domains, and target areas. This approach also provides a framework of indicator generalization and transformation. Therefore, similar indicators can be applied in other fields and target areas with modifications. Originality/value: The development of nomenclature for research impact indicators is a novel approach in scientometrics.
