A computational investigation of the mean flow field of turbulent rectangular jets issuing into a narrow channel crossflow is presented. The length of the jet slot spans more than 55% of the crossflow channel bed, leaving a small clearance between the jet edge and sidewalls. A finite volume code employing the standard k-εmodel is used to predict the mean, three-dimensional flow field. The mean flow field is investigated for two velocity ratios （6 and 9）. Important flow features, such as the formation of different vortical structures and their characteristics owing to different values of the velocity ratio, are discussed. Some predicted results are compared with the experimental data reported in the literature. The predicted mean and turbulent flow properties are shown to be in good agreement with the experimental data.

Lanthanide（III） complexes of 4-butyl-1-（4-hydroxyphenyl）-2-phenyl-3,5-pyrazolidinedione （OPB） were prepared by ho-mogeneous precipitation. The solid complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility data, molar conduc-tivity measurements and Ir, UV-Vis, mass, 1H NMr and 13C NMr spectral methods. The thermal decomposition of the complexes under static air atmosphere was investigated by simultaneous TG/DTG at a heating rate of 10 °C/min. The final decomposition prod-ucts were found to be metal oxides. The spectroscopic data suggested that OPB acted as a bidentate, mono-ionic ligand coordinating through two carbonyl oxygens of the pyrazolidinedione ring. The kinetic and thermodynamic parameters such as activation energy, pre-exponential factor and entropy of activation for each step of the decomposition reactions were evaluated using Coats-redfern and MacCallum-Tanner equations. The negative entropy values of the complexes indicated that the activated complexes had a more or-dered structure than the reactant and that the reactions were slower than normal. Investigations of antimicrobial activity of the com-pounds were carried out by the disk diffusion technique.

A multigrid-assisted solver tbr the three-dimensional time-dependent incompressible Navier-Stokes equations on graded Cartesian meshes is developed. The spatial accuracy is third-order for the convective terms and fourth-order for the viscous terms, and a fractional-step strategy ensures second-order time accuracy. To achieve good time-wise efficiency a multigrid technique is used to solve the highly time-consuming pressure-Poisson equation that requires to be solved at every time step. The speed-up achieved by multigrid is shown in tabular form. The performance and accuracy of the code are first ascertained by computing the flow in a single-sided lid-driven cubic cavity with good grid-economy and comparing the results available in the literature. The code, thus validated, is then applied to a new test problem we propose and various transient and asymptotically obtained steady-state results are presented. Given the care taken to establish the credibility of the code and the good spatio-temporal accuracy of the discretization, these results are accurate and may be used for ascertaining the performance of any computational algorithm applied to this test problem.

This paper considers the estimation of a subset of regression coefficients in a linear regression model with non-spherical disturbances,when other regression coefficients are of no interest.A family of estimators is considered and its asymptotic distribution is *** proposed family of improved estimators is compared with the usual unrestricted FGLS estimator,and dominance conditions are obtained with respect to risk under quadratic loss as well as the Pitman nearness *** results of a numerical simulation are presented to illustrate the risk performance of various estimators.

The complexes of rare earth elements with 1,2-diphenyl-4-butyl-3,5-Pyrazolidinedione （PBH, phenylbutazone） were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, Ir, UV-Vis, EPr and magnetic moment measurements. Based on these studies the complexes were formulated as [Ln（PB）3（H2O）2].nH2O, where Ln=Eu（III）, Gd（III）, Tb（III）, Dy（III） and Er（III）. From Ir spectra, it was found that PBH acted as a bidentate mono-ionic ligand coordinating through two carbonyl oxygen of the pyrazolidinedione ring. The thermal analysis of all the complexes was carried out at a heating rate of 10 oC/min. The kinetic aspects of the complexes were evaluated. The nega-tive entropy value of the complexes indicated a more ordered state for the activated complexes. The photoluminescence property of Tb（III） complex was investigated. It showed all the characteristic emission peaks of Tb^3＋ with a life time of 0.98914 ms.

The ac conduction mechanism in copper oxide nanoparticles with 8 nm size, synthesized by a precipitation method was studied by analyzing ac conductivity in the frequency range of 50 Hz-1 MHz and in the temperature range of 373-573 k. X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy （TEM） were employed for the structural and morphological characterization of CuO nanoparticles. The experimental and theoretical in- vestigations suggested that the ac conduction mechanism in CuO nanoparticles can be successfully explained by a correlated barrier hopping model, which provided reasonable values for the maximum barrier height and characteristic relaxation time. It was also found that bipolaron hopping become prominent up to a particular temperature and beyond that single polaron hopping predominates. Physical parameters such as hopping distance and density of defect states were also calculated. Photoluminescence studies confirm the presence of a surface defect in CuO nanoparticles.

Cloud infrastructural resource optimization is the process of precisely selecting the allocating the correct resources either to a workload or *** workload execution,accuracy,and cost are accurately stabilized in opposition to the best possible framework in real-time,efficiency is *** addition,every workload or application required for the framework is characteristic and these essentials change over ***,the existing method was failed to ensure the high Quality of Service(QoS).In order to address this issue,a Tricube Weighted Linear regression-based Inter Quartile(TWLr-IQ)for Cloud Infrastructural resource Optimization is introduced.A Tricube Weighted Linear regression is presented in the proposed method to estimate the resources(i.e.,CPU,rAM,and network bandwidth utilization)based on the usage history in each cloud ***,Inter Quartile range is applied to efficiently predict the overload hosts for ensuring a smooth *** results show that our proposed method is better than the approach in Cloudsim under various performance *** results clearly showed that the proposed method can reduce the energy consumption and provide a high level of commitment with ensuring the minimum number of Virtual Machine(VM)Migrations as compared to the state-of-the-art methods.

In recent years,deep learning gained proliferating popularity in the cybersecurity application domain,since when being compared to traditional machine learning methods,it usually involves less human efforts,produces better results,and provides better ***,the imbalanced data issue is very common in cybersecurity,which can substantially deteriorate the performance of the deep learning *** paper introduces a transfer learning based method to tackle the imbalanced data issue in cybersecurity using return-oriented programming payload detection as a case *** achieved 0.0290 average false positive rate,0.9705 average F1 score and 0.9521 average detection rate on 3 different target domain programs using 2 different source domain programs,with 0 benign training data sample in the target *** performance improvement compared to the baseline is a trade-off between false positive rate and detection *** our approach,the total number of false positives is reduced by 23.16%,and as a trade-off,the number of detected malicious samples decreases by 0.68%.
