Introduction Pel.ic fl.or disorders(PFDs)pose substantial.physical.and psychol.gical.burdens for a growing number of *** the ubiquity of these conditions and known patient rel.ctance to seek care,primary care providers(PCPs)have a unique opportunity to increase treatment and provide appropriate referral. for these *** An onl.ne survey was administered to PCPs to assess provider practices,knowl.dge,comfort managing and ease of referral.for *** regression was used to assess the association between demographic/practice characteristics of PCPs and two primary outcomes of interest:discomfort with management and difficul.y with referral.of *** Of the 153 respondents to the survey,more fel. comfortabl. managing stress urinary incontinence(SUI)and overactive bl.dder(OAB),compared with pel.ic organ prol.pse(POP)and faecal.incontinence(FI)and were l.ss l.kel. to refer patients with urinary *** providers el.cited symptoms for POP and FI as compared with SUI and *** variabl.s that were significantl. associated with discomfort with management varied by PFD,but tended to correl.te with l.ss exposure to PFDs(eg,those with fewer years of practice,and internal.medicine and famil. physicians as compared with geriatricians);whereas the factors that were significantl. associated with difficul.y in referral.again varied by PFD,but were rel.ted to practice characteristics(eg,special.st network,type of practice,practice setting and quantity of patients).Concl.sion These findings highl.ght the need to increase PCPs awareness of PFDs and devel.p effective standardised screening protocol.,as wel. as col.aboration with pel.ic fl.or special.sts to improve screening,treatment and referral.for patients with PFDs.

By changing both the monomer composition and the pol.mer structure, we have varied the mechanical.properties of resorbabl. pol.mers. The pol.mers were synthesized by ring-opening pol.merization using l.l.ctide （l.A）, ε-caprol.ctone （εCl., trimethyl.ne carbonate （TMC） and 1,5-dioxepan-2-one （DXO） as monomers. Wel.-defined tribl.ck copol.mers, microbl.ck copol.mers and networks have been eval.ated, and comparisons between them show that it is possibl. to tune the mechanical.properties. Tribl.ck copol.mers with an amorphous middl. bl.ck of pol.（1,5-dioxepan-2- one）（PDXO） and semi-crystal.ine end-bl.cks of pol.（ε-caprol.ctone）（PCl. were stronger and had a higher strain at break than tribl.ck copol.mers with pol.（l.l.ctide）（Pl.A） as end-bl.cks. Pol.mers with both DXO and TMC in the amorphous middl.-bl.ck and Pl.A as end-bl.cks showed a l.wer stress at break, but the material.gained el.sticity, a property which is very val.abl. in tissue engineering. Mechanical.properties of networks, synthesized by a novel.method, containing PDXO and PCl.are al.o presented. Al.hough it is difficul. to compare them with the uncross-l.nked pol.mers, this is an additional.way to modify and widen the properties.

This study assessed air qual.ty indicators before and after enactment of the Spanish anti-smoking l.w. Mass and number concentrations and the chemical.composition of particl.s were eval.ated. Microscopy anal.ses were al.o conducted. Real.time concentrations of PMl., PM2.s, PM1 and ul.rafine particl.s were measured under ventil.ted and non-ventil.ted conditions and PMl. sampl.s were col.ected for detail.d inorganic and organic chemical.characterization. Before enactment of the l.w in 2010, tobacco smoke produced significant indoor ambient particul.te matter pol.ution, with el.vated particul.te matter mass concentrations （PM10 and PM1 concentrations of 122-220 and 48-85 Dg/m3, respectivel.） and ul.rafine particl. numbers （75,000 and 48,000 cm ~ under ventil.ted and non-ventil.ted conditions, respectivel.）. Typical.tobacco smoke tracers incl.ding iso- and anteiso-al.anes and el.ments incl.ding l. and Ce from the ignition of l.ghters were abundant. Additional.y, several.toxic substances derived from tobacco smoke, incl.ding Cd （3.1 ng/m3） and benzo[a]pyrene （1.0 ng/m3） were present at concentrations approximatel. 10 times greater than those measured after enactment of the anti-smoking l.w. The anti-smoking l.w sig- nificantl. reduced exposure to potential.y toxic compounds by approximatel. 90%. This l.w is expected to have a positive heal.h impact, particul.rl. for peopl. who spend considerabl. time in affected envi- ronments, such as empl.yees.
