The onset and.mechanisms und.rlying neurod.generative d.seases remain uncertain. The main features of neurod.generative d.seases have been related.with cellular and.molecular events like neuronal loss, mitochond.ial d.sfunction and.aberrant accumulation of misfold.d.proteins or peptid.s in specific areas of the brain. The most prevalent neurod.generative d.seases belonging to age-related.pathologies are Alzheimer's d.sease, Huntington's d.sease, Parkinson's d.sease and.amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Interestingly, mitochond.ial d.sfunction has been observed.to occur d.ring the early onset of several neuropathological events associated.to neurod.generative d.seases. The master regulator of mitochond.ial quality control and.energetic metabolism is the transcriptional coactivator peroxisome proliferator-activated.receptor gamma coactivator 1-alpha(PGC-1α). Ad.itionally, it has been observed.that PGC-1α appears to be a key factor in maintaining neuronal survival and.synaptic transmission. In fact, PGC-1α d.wnregulation in d.fferent brain areas(hippocampus, substantia nigra, cortex, striatum and.spinal cord. that occurs in function of neurological d.mage includ.ng oxid.tive stress, neuronal loss, and.motor d.sord.rs has been seen in several animal and.cellular mod.ls of neurod.generative d.seases. Current evid.nce ind.cates that PGC-1α upregulation may serve as a potent therapeutic approach against d.velopment and.progression of neuronal d.mage. Remarkably, increasing evid.nce shows that PGC-1α d.ficient mice have neurod.generative d.seases-like features, as well as neurological abnormalities. Finally, we d.scuss recent stud.es showing novel specific PGC-1α isoforms in the central nervous system that appear to exert a key role in the age of onset of neurod.generative d.seases and.have a neuroprotective function in the central nervous system, thus opening a new molecular strategy for treatment of neurod.generative d.seases. Labrad.r Retriever, Spanish Mastiff, Stafford.hire Terrier, and.Valencian Rat Hunting d.g. Semen samples were obtained.by masturbation and.smears stained.with d.ff-Quik. Morphometric analysis （CASA-Morph） prod.ced.four size and.four shape parameters. Length, Ellipticity, and.Elongation showed.higher d.fferences between breed.. MANOVA revealed.d.fferences among all breed.. Consid.ring the whole d.taset, principal component analysis （PCA） showed.that PC1 was related.to head.shape and.PC2 to size. Procluster analysis showed.the British Bulld.g to be the most isolated.breed. followed.by the German Shepherd. The PCA breed.by breed.showed.the Chihuahua, Labrad.r Retriever, Spanish Mastiff, and.Stafford.hire Terrier to have PC1 related.to shape and.PC2 to size, whereas the British Bulld.g, Valencia Rat Hunting d.g, and.German Shepherd.had.PC1 related.to size and.PC2 to shape. The d.nd.ogram for cluster groupings and.the d.stance between them showed.the British Bulld.g to be separated.from the rest of the breed.. Objective:Long-term survivors(LS)of non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)without d.iver alterations,d.splaying an overall survival(OS)of more than 3 years,comprise around.10%of cases in several series treated.with *** are classical prognosis factors for these cases[stage,Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group(ECOG),etc.],but more d.ta are required.in the *** this multi-center stud.,we focused.on LS of ad.anced.NSCLC with OS above 36 months to perform a clinical-pathological and.molecular ***:In the first step,we cond.cted.a clinical-pathological characterization of the ***,we carried.out a genetic analysis by comparing LS to a sample of short-term survivors(SS)(with an OS less than 9 months).We initially used.whole-genome RNA-seq to id.ntify d.fferentiating profiles of LS and.SS,and.later confirmed.these with reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)for the rest of the ***:A total of 94 patients were includ.d.who were mainly men,former smokers,having ad.nocarcinoma(AC)-type NSCLC with an ECOG of *** obtained.an initial d.fferential transcriptome expression,d.splaying 5 over-and.33 und.r-expressed.genes involved.in d.fferent pathways:namely,the secretin receptor,surfactant protein,trefoil factor 1(T FF1),serpin,Ca-channels,and.Tolllike receptor(TLRs)***,RT-PCR analysis of 40(20 LS/20 SS)samples confirmed.that four genes(surfactant proteins and.SFTP)were significantly d.wn-regulated.in SS compared.to LS by using an analysis of covariance(ANCOVA)mod.l:SFTPA1(P=0.023),SFTPA2(P=0.027),SFTPB{P=0.02),and.SFT PC(P=0.047).Conclusions:We present a sequential genetic analysis of a sample of NSCLCLS with no d.iver alterations,obtaining a d.fferential RNA-seq/RT-PCR profile showing an abnormal expression of SF genes.

Od.ntogenic tumours are a heterogeneous group of lesions that d.velop in the oral cavity region and.are characterized.by the formation of tumoural structures that d.fferentiate as teeth. d.e to the d.versity of their histopathological characteristics and.clinical behaviour, the classification of these tumours is still und.r d.bate. Alterations in morphogenesis pathways such as the Hed.ehog,MAPK and.WNT/β-catenin pathways are implicated.in the formation of od.ntogenic lesions, but the molecular bases of many of these lesions are still unknown. In this stud., we used.genetically mod.fied.mice to stud. the role of IKKβ(a fund.mental regulator of NF-κB activity and.many other proteins) in oral epithelial cells and.od.ntogenic tissues. Transgenic mice overexpressing IKKβ in oral epithelial cells show a significant increase in immune cells in both the oral epithelia and.oral submucosa. They also show changes in the expression of several proteins and.mi RNAs that are important for cancer d.velopment. Interestingly, we found.that overactivity of IKKβ in oral epithelia and.od.ntogenic tissues, in conjunction with the loss of tumour suppressor proteins(p53, or p16 and.p19), lead. to the appearance of od.ntogenic tumours that can be classified.as ameloblastic od.ntomas, sometimes accompanied.by foci of second.ry ameloblastic carcinomas. These tumours show NF-κB activation and.increased.β-catenin *** find.ngs may help to elucid.te the molecular d.terminants of od.ntogenic tumourigenesis and.the role of IKKβ in the homoeostasis and.tumoural transformation of oral and.od.ntogenic epithelia.

谭恩美是华裔美国作家中是最具代表性的人物之一,她为理解华裔美国人的身份打开了新的大门,尤其是理解美国的华裔移民妇女的身份。她的作品让越来越多的人听到这些华裔美国人的声音,也在记忆、身份和历史等概念上取得了突破性成就;对于了解古今美国社会华裔美国人所处的地位和作用至关重要。本研究的目的是首次在学术领域对小说《喜福会》进行全面的分析,以便从女性主义的角度,特别是从女性主义记忆理论的角度,全面理解小说中记忆建构的动态过程。为了给读者提供一些背景资料,我首先简要介绍了华人移民美国的历史和华裔美国文学的发展,并回顾了国内外学术界从不同角度对小说进行分析的主要研究。为了阐释本人的理论框架,本文的第二章介绍了女性主义记忆理论的主要思想,包括文化记忆和文学记忆;其社会和集体建构及其在口头记忆和史学中的地位是本研究的关键概念。第三章首先从叙事的角度进行分析,包括分析语言的作用,语言既可以带来屏障也可以起着桥梁的作用,之后又分析了过去和未来之间的联系,并研究了小说中的口头和文字文化。最后一章中从文化和社会方面着手,特别侧重于记忆和身份之间的相互作用;集体和个人记忆以及小说中描绘的两代人之间交织。

In this work, we evaluated.whether this bacterium can also revert an established.allergic status. Mice were immunized.with ovalbumin (OVA) and.after that, were inoculated.with an E. faecalis CECT7121 suspension. In immunized.animals, serum specific immune response, proliferative activity of memory splenocytes, and.levels of Th2 cytokines were assessed. The in vivo active cutaneous anaphylaxis test was also performed. The treatment with E. faecalis CECT7121 only increased.anti-OVA IgG2a levels. No d.fferences were observed.in other specific immunological parameters. Probiotic-treatment d.d.not prove to have any d.sensitizing effect on mice. These results, together with those recently published. can be conclud.d.that this bacterium would.not be appropriate for the treatment of allergic symptoms.
