This paper presents an overview of the QUARKS survey,which stands for Querying Underlying mechanisms of massive star formation with ALMA-Resolved gas Kinematics and Structures."The QUARKS survey is observing139 massive clumps covered by 156 pointings at Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array(ALMA)band 6(λ~1.3 mm).In conjunction with data obtained from the ALMA-ATOMS survey at band 3(λ~3 mm),QUARKS aims to carry out an unbiased statistical investigation of massive star formation process within protoclusters down to a scale of 1000 *** overview paper describes the observations and data reduction of the QUARKS survey,and gives a first look at an exemplar source,the mini-starburst Sgr b2(M).The wide-b and width(7.5 GHz)and high-angular-resolution(~0."3)observations of the QUARKS survey allow for the resolution of much more compact cores than those could be done by the ATOMS survey,and to detect previously unrevealed fainter filamentary *** spectral windows cover transitions of species including CO,SO,N_(2)D^(+),SiO,H_(30)α,H_(2)CO,CH_(3)CN,and many other complex organic molecules,tracing gas components with different temperatures and spatial *** aims to deepen our understanding of several scientific topics of massive star formation,such as the mass transport within protoclusters by(hub-)filamentary structures,the existence of massive starless cores,the physical and chemical properties of dense cores within protoclusters,and the feedback from already formed high-mass young protostars.

Leveraging the high resolution,sensitivity,and wide frequency coverage of the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array(ALMA),the QUARKS survey,standing for“Querying Underlying mechanisms of massive star formation with ALMA-Resolved gas Kinematics and Structures”,is observing 139 massive starforming clumps at ALMA band 6(λ~1.3 mm).This paper introduces the Atacama Compact Array(ACA)7 m data of the QUARKS survey,describing the ACA observations and data *** multiwavelength data,we provide the first edition of QUARKS atlas,offering insights into the multiscale and multiphase interstellar medium in high-mass star *** ACA 1.3 mm catalog includes 207 continuum sources that are called ACA *** gas kinetic temperatures are estimated using three formaldehyde transitions with a non-LTE radiation transfer model,and the mass and density are derived from a dust emission *** ACA sources are massive(16–84 percentile values of 6–160 M_(⊙)),gravity-dominated(M∝R^(1.1))fragments within massive clumps,with supersonic turbulence(M>1)and embedded star-forming *** find a linear correlation between the masses of the fragments and the massive clumps,with a ratio of 6%between the *** considering fragments as representative of dense gas,the ratio indicates a dense gas fraction(DGF)of 6%,although with a wide scatter ranging from 1%to 10%.If we consider the QUARKS massive clumps to be what is observed at various scales,then the size-independent DGF indicates a self-similar fragmentation or collapsing mode in protocluster *** the ACA data over four orders of magnitude of luminosity-to-mass ratio(L/M),we find that the DGF increases significantly with L/M,which indicates clump evolutionary *** observed a limited fragmentation at the subclump scale,which can be explained by a dynamic global collapse process.

Myeloproliferative neoplasms(MPNs)occur due to the abnormal proliferation of one or more terminal myeloid cell lines in peripheral *** suffering from MPNs display a high burden of cardiovascular risk factors,and thrombotic events are often the cause of death in this population of ***,we provide a brief overview of dyslipidemia and metabolic syndrome and their epidemiology in MPNs and examine the common molecular mechanisms between dyslipidemia,metabolic syndrome,and MPNs,with a special focus on cardio-vascular risk,atherosclerosis,and thrombotic ***,we investigate the impact of dyslipidemia and metabolic syndrome on the occurrence and survival of thrombosis in MPN patients,as well as the management of dyslipidemia in MPNs,and the impact of MPN treatment on serum lipid concentrations,particularly as side/adverse effects reported in the context of clinical trials.

Myeloproliferative neoplasms(MPNs)are defined as clonal disorders of the hematopoietic stem cell in which an exaggerated production of terminally differentiated myeloid cells ***,Philadelphia-negative MPNs,i.e.,polycythemia vera,essential thrombocythemia and primary myelofibrosis,exhibit a propensity towards the development of thrombotic complications that can occur in unusual sites,e.g.,portal,splanchnic or hepatic veins,the placenta or cerebral *** pathogenesis of thrombotic events in MPNs is complex and requires an intricate mechanism involving endothelial injury,stasis,elevated leukocyte adhesion,integrins,neutrophil extracellular traps,somatic mutations(e.g.,the V617F point mutation in the JAK2 gene),microparticles,circulating endothelial cells,and other factors,to name a ***,we review the available data on budd-Chiari syndrome in Philadelphia-negative MPNs,with a particular focus on its epidemiology,pathogenesis,histopathology,risk factors,classification,clinical presentation,diagnosis,and management.

Societal biosecurity–measures built into everyday society to minimize risks from pests and diseases–is an important aspect of managing epidemics and *** aimed to identify societal options for reducing the transmission and spread of respiratory *** used SARS-CoV-2(severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2)as a case study to meet the immediate need to manage the COVID-19 pandemic and eventually transition to more normal societal conditions,and to catalog options for managing similar pandemics in the *** used a‘solution scanning’*** read the literature;consulted psychology,public health,medical,and solution scanning experts;crowd-sourced options using social media;and collated comments on a ***,we present a list of 519 possible measures to reduce SARS-CoV-2 transmission and *** provide a long list of options for policymakers and businesses to consider when designing biosecurity plans to combat SARS-CoV-2 and similar pathogens in the *** also developed an online application to help with this *** encourage testing of actions,documentation of outcomes,revisions to the current list,and the addition of further options.

Fall is an event in which a person unintentionally descends onto the floor. It may lead to physical injuries, psychological harm and/or financial loses. Over the last three Financial Years 2009-201 l, there had been increasing fall incident rate at the unit level, Department of Internal Medicine and Haematology. The hospital fall performance target was set at 〈 one fall per 1000 patient days. Hence, there was a pressing need for improvement with an emphasis of focused analysis to prevent fall. The aim of the study was to reduce fall incidents by at least 50% at W53C and W77H in Financial Year 2012. The baseline fall incident data was collected from February 2011 to March 2012 for both wards. A total number of 33 falls with a median of 2.5 and 1.1 falls per 1000 patient days respectively were collected. The verification of root causes to fall incidences was identified in Pareto Chart. The 3 root causes were： Delayed elimination round, underestimated patients＇ risk for falls and lack of care coordination among team members. The solution implementations were： Cessation ofhardcopy of elimination chart and daily assessment of patient＇s fall risk using modified Morse Fall Scale was changed from paper to electronic. Conducting root cause analysis post fall and sharing near miss incidences were another two implementations to draw the learning points from the incidents to prevent the similar occurrence. Reallocation of staffassignment without increasing manpower to ensure better care coordination was the 5th solution. With the above stated multi-factorial interventions, a significant fall incidence rate was achieved. It had achieved 7% more than the target set for the project.
