We demonstrate a handheld on-chip biosensing technology that employs plasmonic microarrays coupled with a lens-free computational imaging system towards multiplexed and high-throughput screening of biomolecular interactions for point-of-care applications and resource-limited *** lightweight and field-portable biosensing device,weighing 60 g and 7.5 cm tall,utilizes a compact optoelectronic sensor array to record the diffraction patterns of plasmonic nanostructures under uniform illumination by a single-light emitting diode tuned to the plasmonic mode of the *** a sensitive plasmonic array design that is combined with lens-free computational imaging,we demonstrate label-free and quantitative detection of biomolecules with a protein layer thickness down to 3 *** large-scale plasmonic microarrays,our on-chip imaging platform enables simultaneous detection of protein mono-and bilayers on the same platform over a wide range of biomolecule *** this handheld device,we also employ an iterative phase retrieval-based image reconstruction method,which offers the ability to digitally image a highly multiplexed array of sensors on the same plasmonic chip,making this approach especially suitable for high-throughput diagnostic applications in field settings.

New Copper（Ⅱ） and Nickel（Ⅱ） Complexes of 4-Morpholinoacetophenone Thiosemicarbazone： Structural, Electrochemical and Antimicrobial Studies

4-Morpholinoacetophenone thiosemicarbazone, MAPT, and its nickel（Ⅱ） and copper（Ⅱ） complexes have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility, spectral methods （fT-IR, ^1H NMR） and cyclic voltammetry. Electrochemical behaviors of the complexes have been studied by cyclic voltammetry in DMf media showing metal centered reduction processes for both of them. The redox properties, nature of the electrode processes and the stability of the complexes were discussed. [Cu（MAPT）2]Cl2 complex shows Cu（Ⅱ）/Cu（Ⅰ） couple and quasi-reversible wave associated with the Cu（Ⅲ）/Cu（Ⅱ） process. The reduction/oxidation potential values depend on the structures of complexes. Also, the antimicrobial activities of these complexes were determined against S. aureus, E. coli and B. subtilis.

Background Ring annuloplasty is the standard treatment of ischemic mitral regurgitation (MR), however, it has been associated with some drawbacks. It abolishes normal annular dynamics and freezes the posterior leaflet. In the present study, we evaluated Paneth suture annuloplasty in chronic ischemic MR and both early and mid-term outcomes of the technique on a selected *** The study period was from June 2010 to June 2012. We operated on 21 patients who had the diagnosis of coronary artery disease andMR of grade 3 or 4. The patients had both a coronary artery bypass operation and the mitral semicircular reduction annuloplasty described by Paneth-Burr. The data on the patients were retrospectively collected. Patients were contacted by outpatient clinic controls for mid-term results. Results The male/female ratio was 10/11. The mean age of the patients was 71.0 ±6.4 years. Preoperative and postoperative left ventricular ejection fraction was statistically similar (P = 0.973). Early postoperative MR grade (mean, 0.57 ±0.51) was statistically lower than the preoperative MR grades (mean, 3.38 ±0.50) (P for excess bleeding. Two patients had prolonged hospitalization, one for sternal infection and the other for severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. No hospital or late postoperative deaths occurred. The mean late postoperative MR grade was 0.66 ±0.97 degrees. One patient had progression of MR in the later follow-up, which was treated by mitral valve replacement. Conclusion Semicircular reduction annuloplasty is an effective, inexpensive and easy surgical annuloplasty technique with lowmortality and morbidity in severe symptomatic ischemic MR.

The transfer of Pb2+ facilitated by interfacial complexation with 5-(4-phenoxyphenyl)-6H-1,3,4-thiadiazin-2-amine(PPTA) at the polarized water/1,2-dicholoroethane(1,2-DCE) interface was investigated by cyclic *** synthesized the thiadiazine derivative,PPTA,*** transfer was performed at different metal concentrations and scan rates,and the obtained voltammetric transfer peaks toward Pb2+ ion over other divalent cations(Zn2+,Co2+,Ni2+,Cd2+,Hg2+,and Cu2+) were *** dependence of the half-wave potentials of the Pb2+ ion on the concentration of PPTA in the organic phase indicates that the ion transfer is facilitated by the formation of 1:2(metal:ligand) complex in the organic phase with the association constant(lgβ2) of(17.1±0.2).

BACKGROUND The february 6,2023,twin earthquakes in Türkiye caused significant structural damage and a high number of injuries,particularly affecting the spine,which underscores the importance of understanding the distribution and nature of vertebral injuries in disaster *** To investigate the distribution of radiological findings of vertebral injuries in patients referred to a major tertiary center during the february 6,2023 twin earthquakes in Tü*** With the approval of the institutional ethics committee,1216 examinations of 238 patients transferred from the region to a tertiary major hospital after the twin earthquakes of february 6,2023,were retrospectively analyzed for spine *** Spine computed tomography(CT)scans were performed in 192 of 238 patients with a suspected spinal injury,42 of whom also had an magnetic resonance imaging(MRI).In 86 of 192 patients(44.79%;M:f=33:53)a spinal fracture was detected on CT and in 33 of 42 patients(78.57%;M:f=20:13)a spinal injury was found on *** the 86 patients in whom vertebral injury was detected,fractures were detected in the Denis-B group in 33,Denis-C in 4,Denis-D in 20 and Denis-E in 11 *** the vertebral bodies:40"compression fractures",17"burst fractures",5"translational dislocation fractures",5"flexion-distraction fractures"and 58"prolonged forced fetal posture fractures"were *** addition,isolated transverse or spinous process fractures were found in eighteen *** Our study highlights the prevalence and diverse spectrum of spinal injuries following the february 6,2023 twin earthquakes in Turkey underscoring the urgent need for effective management strategies in similar disaster scenarios,and emphasizing the"prolonged forced fetal posture"damage we encountered in earthquake victims who remained under the collapse for a long time.

Development of a GIS-based failure investigation system for highway soil slopes

A framework for preparation of an early warning system was developed for Maryland, using a GIS database and a collective overlay of maps that highlight highway slopes susceptible to soil slides or slope failures in advance through spatial and statistical analysis. Data for existing soil slope failures was collected from geotechnical reports and field visits. A total of 48 slope failures were recorded and analyzed. Six factors, including event precipitation, geological formation, land cover, slope history, slope angle, and elevation were considered to affect highway soil siope stability. The observed trends indicate that precipitation and poor surface or subsurface drainage conditions are principal factors causing slope failures. 96% of the failed slopes have an open drainage section. A majority of the failed slopes lie in regions with relatively high event precipitation （P 〉 200 mm）. 90% of the existing failures are surficial erosion type failures, and only 1 out of the 42 slope failures is deep rotational type failure. More than half of the analyzed slope failures have occurred in regions having low density land cover. 46% of failures are on slopes with slope angles between 20~ and 30~. Influx of more data relating to failed slopes should give rise to more trends, and thus the developed slope management system will aid the state highway engineers in prudential budget allocation and prioritizing different remediation projects based on the literature reviewed on the principles, concepts, techniques, and methodology for slope instability evaluation （Lesh- chinsky et al., 2015）.

2-Acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propanesulfonic acid （AMPS）, and maleic acid （MA） copolymerized with different feed ratios using N,N-dimethylformamide as a solvent and benzoyl peroxide （Bz2O2） as an initiator at 70℃. Structure and composition of copolymers for a wide range of monomer feed were determined by elemental analysis （content of N for AMPS-units）. Monomer reactivity ratios for AMPS （M1）-MA （M2） pair were determined by the application of conventional linearization methods such as fineman-Ross （f-R）, Kelen-Tudos（KT） and Extended Kelen-Tudos （EKT） and a nonlinear error invariable model method using a computer program RREVM. The characterizations were done by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy （fTIR）, differential scanning calorimetry （DSC） thermal gravimetry analysis （TGA）, and and X-ray diffraction. The antimicrobial effects of polymers were also tested on various bacteria, and yeast.

The first photometric solution in the B,V,R_(c) and I_(c) filters of the short period V1833 Ori eclipsing binary is presented based on new ground-based CCD photometric *** analyzed the BVRI photometric light curves of the system,using PHOEBE 0.31 a,a binary star modeling program,with the Wilson-Devinney method based on Roche geometry to achieve the best accordance with the photometric observations to determine their absolute parameters from the light *** updated the ephemeris of V1833 Ori using two new light curve minima derived by our new observational data from those collected in the literature and analyzed the change of the system's orbital *** O-C analysis indicates that the variations of the orbital period of V1833 Ori with time are increasing at a rate of 3.03×10^(-7)days yr^(-1).The distance of V1833 Ori is 173.7±15.6 *** the solutions,we find that V1833 Ori is an A-subtype W UMa overcontact binary with q=0.701 mass ratio and f=1.14 fill-out *** HR diagram positions of the eclipsing binary system's components are *** system's absolute dimensions were compared to those of similar binaries in the log T_(eff)-log L,logM-logL,1 ogM-logR and logM-log J_(0)diagrams.
