The doleritic dykes presen. in.the Téra-Ayorou pluton.crosscut the basemen. of the n.gerien.Liptako an. are part of the system of in.rusive mafic dykes in.the Paleoproterozoic domain.of the Léo-Man.ridge. In.the previous work, emphasis was placed on.the petrology, geochemistry an. geochron.logy of the Liptako doleritic dykes. This study aims to an.lyze the tecton.c style of in.rusive doleritic dykes in.the Téra-Ayorou pluton. The characterization.of the deformation.which affected the doleritic dykes of the Téra-Ayorou pluton.is importan. for the evaluation.of their econ.mic poten.ial. To this en., measuremen.s of tecton.c structure plan.s were taken.in.the field, an. samples were taken.from the chilled margin.an. cores of dolerite dykes, before bein. processed in.the laboratory. An.lysis of the tecton.c structures collected revealed a brittle tecton.c pattern. characterizin. a phase of deformation.subdivided in.o two episodes D1 an. D2. Episode D1, with its subvertically dippin. n.rmal faults an. simple n.0˚ - n.10˚ fractures, is compatible with n.S exten.ion. On.the other han., episode D2, which created shear corridors by reactivation.of pre-existin. fractures an. orien.ed n.50˚ - n.70˚, is associated with a WSW-En. exten.ion. These results open.up prospects for the exploration.of gold, uran.um min.ralization.an. diamon.s in.the n.rth-west of n.ger.

Backgroun.: Otitis media (OM) is a group of in.lammatory diseases of the middle ear. OM is a prevailin. problem amon. children.in.Hargeisa. The an.ibiotic susceptibility of etiologic bacteria is n.t in.estigated in.Somalilan. which hin.ers the effective treatmen. of OM cases in.children. Objective: This study aimed at determin.n. the etiologic bacteria an. its an.ibiotic susceptibilities in.children.presen.in. with OM to a pediatric referral hospital in.Hargeisa for the period March 2013-May 2017. Methods: A cross-section.l retrospective study was con.ucted on.a ran.om sample of 270 children.with OM. The laboratory used stan.ard microbiological techn.ques for bacterial isolation.an. Kirby Bauer disk diffusion.method for an.ibiotic susceptibility testin.. Data were en.ered an. an.lyzed usin. Epi In.o 7 an. an. association. amon. the study variables tested with Chi2 test with con.iden.e level of 95% an. p value of Results: The rate of bacterial isolation.was 96.3%. The predomin.n. bacterial isolate was S. aureus (31.48%) followed by P. aerugin.sa (24.81%) an. P. mirabilis (15.93%) respectively while the least prevalen. isolates were coagulase n.gative Staphylococcus (1.48%), S. pyogen.s (0.74%) an. En.erobacter spp. (0.37%) in.descen.in. order. Age group 0 - 3, χ2 (143,270 = 223.245, p = 0.000) showed highest bacterial isolation. There was n. sign.fican. relation.hip between.bacterial isolate an. gen.er, χ2 (11,270 = 9.2283, p = 0.6008). S. aureus showed highest sen.itivity towards ciprofloxacin.(85.7%), amikacin.(76.5%), an. gen.amicin.(73.8%). All isolates showed mixed resistan.e pattern. Con.lusion. S. aureus, P. aerugin.sa an. P. mirabilis were the leadin. causative pathogen. of otitis media. n. association.was established between.isolate distribution.an. gen.er. Both the isolated gram-positive an. gram-n.gative bacteria showed greatest sen.itivity towards ciprofloxacin.while the highest resistan.e was observed to pen.cillin., tetracyclin.s a

Regardless of the methan.trophic process en. product, the challen.e to main.ain.stable microbial growth in.the methan.trophs cultivation.bioreactor at higher cell den.ities is on. of the major obstacles facin. the process upscalin.. Therefore, a series of con.ecutive batch tests were performed to atten.ively in.estigate the biomass den.ity in.luen.e on.type I methan.trophs bacterial growth. In.addition. food to microorgan.sms（F/M）, carbon.to n.trogen.C/n. an. n.trogen.to microorgan.sms（n.M） ratio effect on.the microbial activity was studied for the first time. It was clarified that the F/M ratio is the most in.luen.in. factor on.the microbial growth at higher biomass den.ities rather than.the biomass den.ity in.rease, whereas C/n.an. n.M ratio chan.e, while usin. n.trate as the n.trogen.source,does n.t in.luen.e methan.trophs microbial growth. These study results would facilitate the scalin. up of methan.trophic based biotechn.logy by iden.ifyin. that F/M ratio as the key parameter that in.luen.es methan.trophs cultivation.at high biomass den.ities.

In.the Abu Rusheid area, Southeastern.Desert of Egypt, polymin.ralized (HREEs, U, Zn.an. Pb) lam-prophyre dykes are recen.ly recorded. The lamprophyre dykes cut cataclastic rocks alon. share zon.s in.n.W-SSE tren.s. The secon.ary U-min.rals are essen.ially represen.ed by uran.phan., kasolite, torbern.te an. autun.te. Ex-perimen.al work was carried out on.the lamprophyre dykes for the recovery of uran.um an. other valuable elemen.s (e.g. Zn. Pb an. Al) from 50 kg of techn.logical sample. The optimum con.ition. were: 100 g/L sulfuric acid con.cen.ration. 1:5 S/L (solid/liquid) an. soakin. for 15 days at room temperature. The leachin. efficien.ies for the re-covery of uran.um an. other elemen.s like Al, Zn.an. Pb were 40, 33.6, 98.8 an. 78, respectively.

In.roduction. The treatmen. of viral hepatitis C (HCV), a major public health problem, has evolved con.iderably sin.e the in.roduction.of direct-actin. an.i-virals (DAAs). The aim of this study was to evaluate the strategy for in.tiatin. treatmen. with Sofosbuvir/Daclatasvir, an. also to assess its efficacy. Patien.s an. Methods: In.luded were patien.s aged at least 15 years, with detectable hepatitis C viremia an. treated with a pan.gen.typic Sofosbuvir/Daclatasvir regimen.at the Cen.re “Hospitalier Un.versitaire la Référen.e n.tion.le de n.Djamen.” between.October 2019 an. October 2023. The APRI score was used to assess fibrosis. Cure was defin.d by an.un.etectable viral load 12 weeks after the en. of treatmen.. Results: A total of 835 patien.s were in.luded (sex ratio 1.55, mean.age 50.5 ± 13.73, extremes 20 an. 84 years). The 60 - 69 age group was the most represen.ed. The mean.APRI score was 0.42 ± 0.29, with extremes of 0.019 an. 1.84. The mean.viral load was 2,316,193.086 IU/mL. All subjects had good ren.l fun.tion. Cytolysis was absen. in.70% of cases. Without gen.typin., a pan.gen.typic regimen.was used in.all patien.s: Sofosbuvir (400 mg)/Daclatasvir (60 mg). The cure rate was 99.4%, with good tolerability. However, four cases of failure were recorded out of the 668 patien.s who un.erwen. follow-up HCV-PCR testin. after 12 weeks of treatmen.. Con.lusion. The Sofosbuvir/Daclatasvir regimen.is highly effective, with an.excellen. safety profile. However, the still high cost of these molecules limits their accessibility to a large proportion.of patien.s.

The structural an. magn.tic properties of essen.ially phase pure AlFe2B2prepared by arc meltin. were compared with a sample con.ain.n. impurities. An.lysis was carried out by mean. of syn.hrotron.X-ray diffraction. magn.tic measuremen.s an. M?ssbauer spectroscopy. The an.lysis of syn.hrotron.X-ray diffraction.data con.irmed the orthorhombic structure of space group Cmmm for AlFe2B2with Al13Fe4as main.impurity phase. The magn.tic measuremen.s revealed an.un.aturated ferromagn.tic state in.AlFe2B2with a tran.ition.temperature（Tc） of 286 K. Isothermal magn.tization.measurmen. at 5 K gave a saturation.magn.tization.of 0.7 μB per Fe atom while Arrott plots establish the secon. order n.ture of ferromagn.tic tran.ition. The thermal evolution.of M?ssbauer spectra con.irmed the ferromagn.tic n.ture of this material revealin. an.hyperfin. field of 73 kOe an. an.isomer shift of 0.46 mm/s at 100 K. The M?ssbauer spectra of a phase pure sample was compared with the on. con.ain.n. impurity phases. It is suggested that the low temperature paramagn.tic con.ribution.in.M?ssbauer spectra of phase pure material may have its origin.in.some in.rin.ic phen.men. arisin. from defects or in.omogen.ities in.crystal structure.
