In order to develop an automated segmentation system for Computed Tomography （CT） brain images, a new approach which consists of several unsupervised segmcotation techniques was introduced. The system segments the CT brain images into three partitions, i. e., abnormalities, cerebrospinal fluid （CSF）, and brain matter. Our approach consists of two phase-segmentation methods. In the first phase segmentation, k-means and fuzzy cmeans （FCM） methods were implemented to segment and transform the images into the binary images. Based on the connected component in binary images, a decision tree was employed for the annotation of normal or abnormal regions. In the second phase segmentation, the modified FCM with population-diameter independent （PDI） segmentation was applied to segment the images into CSF and brain matter. The experimental results have shown that our proposed system is feasible and yield satisfactory results.

Microelectronic power converters such as buck and boost converter are required to be tolerant to radiations including electron radiation. This paper examines electron radiation effects on the Ⅰ-Ⅴ characteristics of VDMOSFET and its corresponding effects in buck converter. Analysis of the electrical characteristics shows that after irradiation the threshold voltage and drain current for all VDMOSFETs degraded more than two orders of magnitude. The impact of this electrical degradation has been investigated in an application of typical buck converter circuit. The buck converter with n-channel switching transistor shows that after irradiation its output voltage increased with the drain current in the n-channel ZVN4424 A VDMOSFET, while the buck converter with p-channel switching transistor shows its output voltage decreased with the drain current in the p-channel ZVP4424 A VDMOSFET after irradiation.

A thin film of blended poly-N-epoxypropylcarbazole（PEPC）（25 wt.%）,nickel phthalocyanine（NiPc）（50 wt.%） and ZnO nano-powder（25 wt.%） in benzene（5 wt.%） was spin-coated on a glass substrate with silver electrodes to produce a surface-type Ag/PEPC/NiPc/ZnO/Ag capacitive and resistive *** with two different PEPC/NiPc/ZnO film thicknesses（330 and 400 nm） were fabricated and *** effects of humidity on capacitance and resistance of the Ag/PEPC/NiPc/ZnO/Ag sensors were investigated at two frequencies of the applied voltage：120 Hz and 1 *** was observed that at 120 Hz under humidity of up to 95%RH the capacitance of the sensors increased by 540 times and resistance decreased by 450 times with respect to humidity conditions of 50%RH. It was found that the sensor with a thinner semiconducting film（330 nm） was more sensitive than the sensor with a thicker film（400 nm）.The sensitivity was improved when the sensor was used at a lower frequency as compared with a high *** is assumed that the humidity response of the sensors is associated with absorption of water vapors and doping of water molecules in the semiconductor blend *** had been proven by simulation of the capacitance-humidity relationship.

This study was conducted to investigate the phenomenon of oil removal from inside pores using a self-designed microfluidic test *** artificial micromodel chip as a representation of porous rocks has been created with a uniform pore structure design and made of PMMA(Polymethyl Methacrylate)*** micromodel chip has a porosity of 27.8%as well as a permeability of 2.7 *** using the microfluidic test kit,this study has investigated how low salinity water(LSW)injection with MgCl_(2)divalent ions and the addition of anionic surfactant,linear alkylbenzene sulfonate mixed with nonionic surfactants,nonylphenol ethoxylate(NP-10)affects to oil *** injection of LSW and surfactant solution was carried out with different injection stages,injection rates and surfactant solutions *** images during the injection process are recorded for analysis,which is the advantage of dynamic testing using this microfluidic test kit over conventional *** this study,it is indicated that the selection of ions contained in LSW affects the success of LSW *** the surfactant injection rate from 50 mL/min to 20 mL/min can increase the oil recovery from 1.27%to 4.29%.Oil recovery was also higher on surfactant injection which resulted in lower interfacial tension of the system based on the calculation of interfacial tension obtained from the Chun-Huh and Ghosh equations from the Winsor *** all injection scenarios carried out in this study,the highest increase in oil recovery of 26.87%OOIP was obtained by injecting surfactant solutions directly in the secondary stage without prior LSW injection.

Designing an authentication system for securing the power plants are important to allow only specific staffs of the power plant to access the certain blocks so that they can be restricted from using high risk-oriented *** authentication is also vital to prevent any security threats or risks like compromises of business server,release of confidential data *** conventional works attempted to accomplish better authentication,they lacked with respect to ***,the study aims to enhance the recognition rate by introducing a voice recognition system as a personal authentication based on Deep Learning(DL)due to its ability to perform effective *** study proposes Equivalent Rectangular Bandwidth and Deep Multi-Layer Perceptron(ERB-DMLP)as it has the ability to perform efficient and relevant feature extraction and faster *** algorithm also has the ability to establish effective correlation between voices and images and achieve the semantic relationship between *** preprocessing is initially performed to make it suitable for further processing by removing the noise and enhancing the quality of *** process is also vital to minimize the extra computations so that the overall efficacy of the system can be made flexible by considering the audio files as features and the images as labels to identify a person’s voice by classifying the extracted features from the ERB Feature *** is then passed as the input into DMLP model to classify the persons,and trained the model to make an accurate classification of audio with corresponding image labels,and perform the performance test based on the trained ***,relevant feature extraction and faster classification ability of the proposed work has made it explore better outcomes that is confirmed through results.

A saturable absorber is commonly employed to generate an ultrashort laser with a mode-locking scheme. In an erbium-doped fiber laser system, the laser regimes of either 1530 or 1550 nm wavelength are procured based on the absorption profile of the erbium-doped fiber. The absorption of the erbium-doped fiber is designed to emit at both wavelengths by controlling the net gain of the laser cavity. Subsequently, simultaneous erbium-doped fiber laser emission is attained at 1533.5 and 1555.1 nm with the pulse duration of 910 and 850 fs, ***, this work maximizes the output portfolios of a mode-locking fiber laser for dual-wavelength ultrashort pulses emission.

The Government of the Republic of Indonesia states that the thermal energy for hot-mixed asphalt production shall be supplied by the direct combustion of fossil fuels in the form of diesel oil,natural gas,or fuel gas from coal gasification which may generate GHG *** are able to substitute the fossil fuels through gasification *** converts the biomass using limited air into gaseous fuel containing mainly CO and H_(2) that are subsequently combusted to produce heat,carbon dioxide,and *** is obvious that the CO_(2) is then absorbed by the plants for photosynthesis,main-taining a balanced closed *** study examines the level of global warming potential of this system for supplying heat based on the openLCA v1.9 *** analysis used a gate-to-gate approach to evaluate scenarios of shell gasification to produce 1 metric tonne of hot-mixed *** scope covers raw material supply and transportation,palm kernel shell gasification,and *** evaluation concludes that gasification could potentially reduce CO_(2) *** impact analysis and interpretation of the results using the openLCA database of Traci 2.1 recommend that greater CO_(2) emis-sion reduction is possible using palm kernel shell gasification,not only for supplying heat but also for electricity generation to operate all electrical equipments.

Background： There is considerable interest in using goats as models for genetically engineering dairy animals and also for using stem cells as therapeutics for bone and cartilage repair. Mesenchymal stem cells （MSCs） have been isolated and characterized from various species, but are poorly characterized in goats. Results： Goat MSCs isolated from bone marrow （BM-MSCs） and adipose tissue （ASCs） have the ability to undergo osteogenic, adipogenic and chondrogenic differentiation. Cytochemical staining and gene expression analysis show that ASCs have a greater capacity for adipogenic differentiation compared to BM-MSCs and fibroblasts. Different methods of inducing adipogenesis also affect the extent and profile of adipogenic differentiation in MSCs. Goat fibroblasts were not capable of osteogenesis, hence distinguishing them from the MSCs. Goat MSCs and fibroblasts express CD90, CD105, CD73 but not CD45, and exhibit cytoplasmic localization of OCT4 protein. Goat MSCs can be stably transfected by Nucleofection, but, as evidenced by colony-forming efficiency （CFE）, yield significantly different levels of progenitor cells that are robust enough to proliferate into colonies of integrants following G418 selection. BM-MSCs expanded over increasing passages in vitro maintained karyotypic stability up to 20 passages in culture, exhibited an increase in adipogenic differentiation and CFE, but showed altered morphology and amenability to genetic modification by selection. Conclusions： Our findings provide characterization information on goat MSCs, and show that there can be significant differences between MSCs isolated from different tissues and from within the same tissue. Fibroblasts do not exhibit trilineage differentiation potential at the same capacity as MSCs, making it a more reliable method for distinguishing MSCs from fibroblasts, compared to cell surface marker expression.

Jatropha curcas L. （JCL） seeds were extracted and transesterified in-situ using supercritical methanol extraction in the absence of catalyst at different temperatures （200-280℃） and pressures （8-12 MPa）, and at a fixed reaction time of 30 min with seeds-to-methanol ratio of 1：40 w/v. Design of experiment approach using five-level-two-factors design of Response Surface Methodology （RSM） was used to observe the effect of two independent variables i.e. temperature and pressure and the percent of biodiesel yield which required 13 runs. For optimization of the variables, Central Composite Rotatable Design （CCRD） was used for regression analysis and analysis of variance （ANOVA）. The optimize conditions suggested by RSM were at T = 280℃ and P = 12.04 MPa. The predicted and experimental biodicsel yields were found to be 56.8% and 59.9%, respectively, with relatively small deviation errors of 1.59%.
