The stem cell pre-treatment approaches at cellular and sub-cellular levels encompass physical manipulation of stem cells to growth factor treatment,genetic manipulation,and chemical and pharmacological treatment,each strategy having advantages and *** of these pre-treatment protocols are *** editorial is a continuum of Li et al’s published article and Wan et al’s editorial focusing on the significance of pre-treatment strategies to enhance their stemness,immunoregulatory,and immunosuppressive *** have elaborated on the intricacies of the combinative pre-treatment protocol using pro-inflammatory cytokines and *** a well-defined multi-pronged combinatorial strategy of mesenchymal stem cells(MsCs),pre-treatment based on the mechanistic understanding is expected to develop“super MsCs”,which will create a transformative shift in MsC-based therapies in clinical settings,potentially revolutionizing the *** optimized,the standardized protocols may be used with slight modifications to pre-treat different stem cells to develop“super stem cells”with augmented stemness,functionality,and reparability for diverse clinical applications with better outcomes.

Longitudinal joint construction quality is critical to the life of flexible *** deteriorated longitudinal joints has become a challenge for many highway *** the joint's quality through better compaction during construction can help achieve flexible pavements with longer service lives and less *** quality control(QC)and quality assurance(QA)plans provide limited ***,the risk of missing areas with poor joint compaction is significant.A density profiling system(DPs)is a non-destructive alternative to conventional destructive evaluation *** can provide quick and continuous real-time coverage of the compaction during construction in *** paper presents several case studies comparing various types of longitudinal joints and demonstrating the use of DPs to evaluate the joint's compaction *** paper shows that dielectric measurements can provide valuable insight into the ability of various construction techniques to achieve adequate levels of compaction at the longitudinal *** paper proposes a dielectric-based longitudinal joint quality index(LJQI)to evaluate the relative compaction of the joint during *** also shows that adopting DPs for assessing the compaction of longitudinal joints can minimize the risk of agencies accepting poorly constructed joints,identify locations of poor quality during construction,and achieve better-performing flexible pavements.

For microelectronic devices,the on-chip microsupercapacitors with facile construction and high performance,are attracting researchers'prior consideration due to their high compatibility with modern ***,we proposed interchanging interdigital Au-/MnO_(2)/polyethylene dioxythiophene stacked microsupercapacitor based on a microfabrication process followed by successive electrochemical *** stacked configuration of two pseudocapacitive active microelectrodes meritoriously leads to an enhanced contact area between MnO_(2)and the conductive and electroactive layer of polyethylene dioxythiophene,hence providing excellent electron transport and diffusion pathways of electrolyte ions,resulting in increased pseudocapacitance of MnO_(2)and polyethylene *** stacked quasi-solid-state microsupercapacitors delivered the maximum specific capacitance of 43 mF cm^(-2)(211.9 F cm^(-3)),an energy density of 3.8μWh cm^(-2)(at a voltage window of 0.8 V)and 5.1μWh cm^(-2)(at a voltage window of 1.0 V)with excellent rate capability(96.6%at 2 mA cm^(-2))and cycling performance of 85.3%retention of initial capacitance after 10000 consecutive cycles at a current density of 5 mA cm^(-2),higher than those of ever reported polyethylene dioxythiophene and MnO_(2)-based planar *** from the favorable morphology,bilayer microsupercapacitor is utilized as a flexible humidity sensor with a response/relaxation time superior to those of some commercially available integrated *** strategy will be of significance in developing high-performance on-chip integrated microsupercapacitors/microsensors at low cost and environment-friendly routes.

In many construction projects,a proactive slope stability evaluation is a *** many deterministic or non-deterministic approaches have been commonly used,metaheuristic approaches have resulted in high precision and significant outcomes for slope stability analysis *** current work focuses on the reliable assessment of critical failure surfaces associated with the least factor of safety value in both homogeneous and non-homogeneous slopes using a new simplified meta-heuristic approach called optics-inspired optimization(OIO).The algorithm utilizes six different LEM methods as a fitness function for deriving the factor of *** analysis over three benchmark studies has been performed to demonstrate the algorithm's robustness and *** implementation found more robust results as compared to previous ***,the algorithm's statistical implication is conducted using the ANOVA test,which inferred better *** this interpretation,the approach claims to be suitable and efficient for slope stability analysis.

This research investigates the hydrothermal synthesis and annealing duration effects on nickel sulfide(Nis_(2) quantum dots(QDs)for catalytic decolorization of methylene blue(MB)dye and antimicrobial *** size increased with longer annealing,reducing catalytic ***–vis,XRD,TEM,and FTIR analyses probed optical structural,morphological,and vibrational *** confirmed Nis2's anorthic structure,with crystallite size growing from 6.53 to 7.81 nm during extended ***–Vis exhibited a bathochromic shift,reflecting reduced band gap energy(Eg)in Nis_(2).TEM revealed Nis_(2)QD formation,with agglomerated QD average size increasing from 7.13 to 9.65 nm with prolonged *** Nis_(2) showed significant MB decolorization(89.85%)in acidic *** Nis_(2) QDs demonstrated notable antibacterial activity,yielding a 6.15mm inhibition zone against Escherichia coli(***)compared to ***-principles computation supported a robust interaction between MB and Nis_(2),evidenced by obtained adsorption *** study highlights the nuanced relationship between annealing duration,structural changes,and functional properties in Nis_(2)QDs,emphasizing their potential applications in catalysis and antibacterial interventions.

BACKGROUND Celiac disease(CeD)is an autoimmune disorder triggered by the immune response to gluten in genetically predisposed *** research has unveiled a heightened risk of developing specific malignant neoplasms(MN)and various malignancies,including gastrointestinal,lymphomas,skin,and others,in individuals with *** To investigate the prevalence of MN in hospitalized CeD patients in the United *** Using data from the National Inpatient sample spanning two decades,from January 2000 to December 2019,we identified 529842 CeD patients,of which 78128(14.75%)had *** score matching,based on age,sex,race,and calendar year,was employed to compare CeD patients with the general non-CeD population at a 1:1 *** Positive associations were observed for several malignancies,including small intestine,lymphoma,nonmelanoma skin,liver,melanoma skin,pancreas myelodysplastic syndrome,biliary,stomach,and other neuroendocrine tumors(excluding small and large intestine malignant carcinoid),leukemia,uterus,and ***,CeD patients exhibited a reduced risk of respiratory and secondary ***,certain malignancies showed null associations with CeD,including head and neck,nervous system,esophagus,colorectal,anus,breast,malignant carcinoids,bone and connective tissues,myeloma,cervix,and ovary *** Our study is unique in highlighting the detailed results of positive,negative,or null associations between different hematologic and solid malignancies and ***,it offers insights into evolving trends in CeD hospital outcomes,shedding light on advancements in its management over the past two *** findings contribute valuable information to the understanding of CeD’s impact on health and healthcare utilization.

Objective:To determine the effects of textile dyeing industrial wastewater on the hematological parameters and reproductive health including histoarchitecture of male gonad(testes)of ***:Twenty-four swiss albino mice at 4-weeks old were divided into four groups(n=6 per group).Mice of group 1 supplied with normal drinking water were served as the control *** of group 2,3 and 4 were supplied normal drinking water mixed with textile dyeing wastewater at 5%,10% and 20% concentration,*** completing 24 weeks of treatment,different hematological profile,weight of testes,gonadosomatic index(GsI),sperm concentration and morphology were ***,histopathological changes in testes were ***:Hematocrit value and hemoglobin concentrations were decreased in all groups of wastewater-treated mice compared to the control ***,weight of testes,GsI and sperm concentration were decreased significantly in wastewater-treated mice in comparison to the control *** percentage of morphologically healthy epididymal sperm was significantly reduced in wastewater-treated *** examination revealed degenerative changes in seminiferous tubules,a smaller number of spermatogenic cells,elongation of seminiferous tubules and degenerative changes of seminiferous tubules in wastewater-treated ***:Textile dyeing wastewater has harmful effects on hematological profile and reproductive health of male mice.
