Simulation of Combustion Flow of Methane Gas in a Premixed Low-Swirl Burner using a Partially Premixed Combustion Model

Because the rotational current stabilizes the flame by creating a recirculation zone,it may increase the risk of *** this reason,low-spin combustion is used to stabilize the flame while preventing ***,in this study,the combustion flow of methane gas in a low-swirl burner is simulated using a partially premixed combustion ***,the fuel flow rate is considered *** research parameters include swirl angle(θ=35°–47°),equivalence ratio(φ=0.6–0.9)and inlet axial flow radius(R=0.6–0.7)and effect of these parameters on temperature distribution,flame length,flame rise length,velocity field,and streamlines of the number of pollutant species are *** contours of streamline,temperature distribution,and velocity distribution are also presented for analysis of flow *** results show that with increasing the fuel-air ratio,the strength of the axial flow decreases,and the position of the maximum flame temperature shifts toward the inlet of the *** results also reveal that by increasing the swirl angle of the flow,the position of the minimum velocity value(opposite to the direction of the axis)tends towards the *** results also indicate that the maximum temperature of the combustion chamber increases with increasing the swirl angle,and inθ=35°,the maximum temperature is 1711℃and inθ=41°,this value is 1812℃.Finally,by increasing the swirl angle toθ=47°,the maximum flame temperature position is found at a considerable distance from the inlet and is 1842℃.

Effect of genotype on duodenal expression of nutrient transporter genes in dairy cows

Background： Studies have shown clear differences between dairy breeds in their feed intake and production efficiencies. The duodenum is critical in the coordination of digestion and absorption of nutrients. This study examined gene transcript abundance of important classes of nutrient transporters in the duodenum of non lactating dairy cows of different feed efficiency potential, namely Holstein-Friesian （HF）, Jersey （JE） and their F1 hybrid. Duodenal epithelial tissue was collected at slaughter and stored at -80℃. Total RNA was extracted from tissue and reverse transcribed to generate cDNA. Gene expression of the following transporters, namely nucleoside amino acid; sugar; mineral; and lipid transporters was measured using quantitative real-time RT-PCR. Data were statistically analysed using mixed models ANOVA in SAS. Orthogonal contrasts were used to test for potential heterotic effects and spearman correlation coefficients calculated to determine potential associations amongst gen, expression values and production efficiency variables. Results： While there were no direct effects of genotype on expression values for any of the genes examined, there was evidence for a heterotic effect （P 〈 0.05） on ABCGS, in the form of increased expression in the F1 genotype compared to either of the two parent breeds. additionally, a tendency for increased expression of the amino acid transporters, SLC3A1 （P= 0.072）, SLC3A2 （P= 0.081） and SLC6A 14 （P= 0.072） was also evident in the F1 genotype. A negative （P 〈 0.05） association was identified between the expression of the glucose transporter gene SLCSA1 and total lactational milk solids yield, corrected for body weight. Positive correlations （P 〈 0.05） were also observed between the expression values of genes involved in common transporter roles. The study evaluated the effectiveness of honey dressings in healing recent skin wounds with soft tissue loss on limbs. Conducted over a year with 60 patients, results showed a significant reduction in wound size and early healing, with complete recovery on average within 29 days. The study supports honey as a viable wound treatment.

Investigation of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity of leaves of Dalbergia paniculata(Roxb)

Objective:To investigate the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity of orally administered methanolic leaf extract of Dalbergia paniculala(***) in Carrageenan induced inflammation in ***:In vitro antioxidant activity was evaluated for superoxide radical, Hydroxyl radical and DPPH radical scavenging *** doses 200 mg/kg,400 mg/kg and 800 mg/kg of *** were tested for anti-inflammatory activity in Carrageenan induced rat paw edema model and paw thickness was measured every one hour up to 6 h. Results:The melhanolic leaf extract of *** produced dose dependent inhibition of Superoxide radical,Hydroxyl radical and OPPH *** Carrageenan induced inflammation model,all three doses produced significant percentage inhibition of rat paw edema and 800 mg/kg dose produced maximum percent inhibition of rat paw edema(47.83%) at 3h compared to control ***:In the present study we found that methanolic leaf extract of *** showed good in vitro antioxidant activity and in vivo anti-inflammatory activity in rats.

A single nucleotide mutation in the dual-oxidase 2(DUOX2) gene causes some of the panda's unique metabolic phenotypes

The giant panda(Ailuropoda melanoleuca) is an iconic bear native to China,famous for eating almost exclusively *** unusual dietary behavior for a carnivore is enabled by several key adaptations including low physical activity,reduced organ sizes and hypothyroidism leading to lowered energy *** adaptive phenotypes have been hypothesized to arise from a panda-unique single-nucleotide mutation in the dual-oxidase 2(DUOX2) gene,involved in thyroid hormone *** test this hypothesis,we created genome-edited mice carrying the same point mutation as the panda and investigated its effect on metabolic *** mice were 27% smaller than heterozygous and wild-type ones,had 13 % lower body mass-adjusted food intake,5 5 % decreased physical activity,lower mass of kidneys(11%) and brain(5%),lower serum thyroxine(T4:36%),decreased absolute(12%) and mass-adjusted(5%) daily energy expenditure,and altered gut *** with T4 reversed the effects of the *** work uses a state-of-the-art genome editing approach to demonstrate the link between a single-nucleotide mutation in a key endocrine-related gene and profound adaptive changes in the metabolic phenotype,with great importance in ecology and evolution.

In current numerical study,forced flow and heat transfer of water/NDG(Nitrogen-doped graphene)nanofluid in nanoparticles mass fractions(φ)of 0,2%and 4%at Reynolds numbers(Re)of 10,50,100 and 150 are simulated in steady *** geometry is a two-dimensional microchannel under the influence of nanofluid jet *** of inlet fluid equals with Tc=293 K and hot source of microchannel is under the influence of oscillating heat ***,in this research,the effect of the variations of attack angle of triangular rib(15°,30°,45°and 60°)on laminar nanofluid flow behavior inside the studied rectangular geometry with the ratio of L/H=28 and nanofluid jet injection is *** results indicate that the increase of Reynolds number,nanoparticles mass fraction and attack angle of rib leads to the increase of pressure *** increasing fluid viscosity,momentum depreciation of fluid in collusion with microchannel surfaces ***,the increase of attack angle of rib at higher Reynolds numbers has a great effect on this *** low Reynolds numbers,due to slow motion of fluid,variations of attack angle of rib,especially in angles of 30°,45°and 60°are almost *** increasing fluid velocity,the effect of the variations of attack angle on pressure drop becomes significant and pressure drop figures act *** general,by using heat transfer enhancement methods in studied geometry,heat transfer increases almost 25%.

Cholangiopancreatography troubleshooting:the usefulness of endoscopic retrieval of migrated biliary and pancreatic stents

BACKGROUND:Stent migration in the hepatopancreatic duct might arise as one of the rare complications associated with biliary or pancreatic *** there are some procedures to retrieve the migrated stent,including surgical,percutaneous,and endoscopic approaches,endoscopy should be attempted first because it is least *** study set out to evaluate the usefulness of endoscopic retrieval of migrated biliary and pancreatic ***:Plastic stents that migrated in the bile duct(35 patients)or pancreatic duct(2)were retrieved with endoscopic retrograde *** used were snare forceps,a basket catheter,grasping forceps,biopsy forceps,a balloon catheter,and the Soehendra stent ***:Endoscopic retrieval of migrated stents was performed successfully in 36(97.0%)of the 37 *** devices utilized for successful treatment were basket catheter(13 patients),grasping forceps(10),snare forceps(8),balloon catheter(3),biopsy forceps(1),and the Soehendra stent retriever(1).The unsuccessfully treated patient with chronic pancreatitis underwent surgery since the guide wire did not move forward due to bile duct stenosis,and there was also duodenal *** patient developed mild pancreatitis after withdrawal of the stent;the pancreatitis was relieved with conservative ***:Endoscopic retrieval of migrated biliary and pancreatic stents appears to be useful because of its safety and low ***,various forceps should be prepared for the retrieval of a migrated stent.
