With the prevalence of the Internet of Things(IoT)systems,smart cities comprise complex networks,including sensors,actuators,appliances,and cyber *** complexity and heterogeneity of smart cities have become vulnerable to sophisticated cyber-attacks,especially privacy-related attacks such as inference and data poisoning *** Learning(FL)has been regarded as a hopeful method to enable distributed learning with privacypreserved intelligence in IoT *** though the significance of developing privacy-preserving FL has drawn as a great research interest,the current research only concentrates on FL with independent identically distributed(i.i.d)data and few studies have addressed the non-i.i.d *** is known to be vulnerable to Generative Adversarial Network(GAN)attacks,where an adversary can presume to act as a contributor participating in the training process to acquire the private data of other *** paper proposes an innovative Privacy Protection-based Federated Deep Learning(PP-FDL)framework,which accomplishes data protection against privacy-related GAN attacks,along with high classification rates from non-i.i.d ***-FDL is designed to enable fog nodes to cooperate to train the FDL model in a way that ensures contributors have no access to the data of each other,where class probabilities are protected utilizing a private identifier generated for each *** PP-FDL framework is evaluated for image classification using simple convolutional networks which are trained using MNIST and CIFAR-10 *** empirical results have revealed that PF-DFL can achieve data protection and the framework outperforms the other three state-of-the-art models with 3%–8%as accuracy improvements.

The zwitterionic compound,levofloxacin,was determined for the first time at different pH values in pure samples,pharmaceutical preparations and spiked serum and urine *** types of potentiometric sensors including poly(vinyl chloride)membrane electrode,carbon paste electrode and screen printed electrode,containing the ion pair levofloxaciniumphosphomolybdate as the electroactaive species,were used for this *** effect of pH is the key factor in determining the ratio of the different species that can exist in the medium(zwitterionic,monocationic,dicationic,anionic and neutral),and so it is the controller of the electrochemical *** different sensors were fully characterized and optimized in terms of composition,pH effect,selectivity,response and *** different sensors showed reliable reversibility and could be utilized for the determination of the drug in real spiked physiological fluids with reliable recovery values.

Spectrofluorimetric and spectrophotometric stability-indicating methods were developed and validated for analysis of veralipride （Ver） in presence of its hydrolytic and oxidative degradants. The spectrofluorimetric method was based on direct measurement of the intrinsic fluorescence of Ver at 366 nm after excitation at 299 nm using sodium lauryl sulfate （SLS） as micelle enhancer. The fluorescence intensity plot was linear over the concentration range 1.0-10.0 ***-1. The high sensitivity of the method allowed its successful application to the analysis of Ver in spiked human plasma. Two other methods were developed. They are based on the oxidative coupling reac- tion of Vet with 3-methyl benzothiazolin-2-one hydrazone （MBTH） hydrochloride in presence of ceric ammonium sulphate in an acidic medium. The first method depends on spectrophotometric measurement of the stable green colored oxidative coupling product at 660 nm. The different experimental parameters affecting the reaction were optimized. Linearity range is 10.0--100.0 ~tgomL-1. The second method depends on a fluorescence quenching effect of Vet on the fluorescence of Ce3＋. The difference in fluorescence intensity was measured at 380 nm after excitation at 300 nm. This method is applicable over the concentration ranges 0.25-2.50 pg-mL-1. The methods were validated according to the ICH guidelines. They were successfully applied for the analysis of Ver in drug substance, drug product and in laboratory prepared mixtures containing different percentages of hydrolytic and oxidative degradants.

Osteoarthritis(OA)has been defined as a chronic inflammatory joint disease characterized by progressive articular cartilage *** growing interest in regenerative medicine,using cell therapy and tissue engineering,where cellular components in combination with engineered scaffolds and bioactive materials were used to induce functional tissue *** the present study,nanofibrous scaffold based on chitosan(CS)/poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA)were used to develop biologically functionalized biomaterial to mimic the extracellular matrix,allowing the human adipose tissue derived mesenchymal stem cells(ADSCs)to proliferate and differentiate to chondrogenic *** morphology of the nanofibrous mat was examined using field emission scanning electron microscope(FE/SEM).The characteristic functional groups and the nature of the chemical bonds between atoms were evaluated using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)*** of the seeded cells was morphologically evaluated by scanning electron microscopy and by flow cytometry for the expression of the stem cell surface *** differentiation potential was verified after chondrogenic induction by analyzing the expression of chondrogenic marker genes using real-time(RT PCR).Current study suggest significant potential for the use of ADSCs with the nanofibrous scaffolds in improving the osteoarthritis pathology.

采用KOH对橄榄渣进行活化得到活性炭。设计2~3正交试验来优化制备工艺条件,水平和因子包括活化温度(600,900℃)、活化时间(1,3 h)和浸渍比(1∶2,1∶4)。活性炭的比表面积作为优化的评价指标。通过氮吸附仪、红外光谱仪和扫描电镜等手段对活性炭的表面化学和孔结构进行表征。结果表明,所有因子及其交互水平都非常显著(p<0.05)。活性炭的比表面积和制备条件的相关系数为99.2%。在最条件下制备的活性炭,比表面积为672 m^2/g、平均孔径为2.05 nm,微孔和介孔率分别为81.36%和18.37%。

Caffeine is the most commonly used medication for treatment of apnea of prematurity. Its effect has been well established in reducing the frequency of apnea, intermittent hypoxemia, and extubation failure in mechanically ventilated preterm infants. Evidence for additional short-term benefits on reducing the incidence of bronchopulmonary dysplasia and patent ductus arteriosus has also been suggested. Controversies existamong various neonatal intensive care units in terms of drug efficacy compared to other methylxanthines, dosage regimen, time of initiation, duration of therapy, drug safety and value of therapeutic drug monitoring. In the current review, we will summarize the available evidence for the best practice in using caffeine therapy in preterm infants.

The adsorption of aluminium(III) and iron(III) ions from their single and binary systems, by RHAC was investigated in a batch system. The activated carbon prepared from rice hulls was characterized by scanning electron microscopy and Fourier transformation infrared techniques. Batch adsorption experiments were performed under different operating conditions including pH (2 - 5), adsorbent dosage (0.5 - 2.0 g/l), initial ion concentration (5 - 100 mg/l), and contact time (30 - 240 min). The equilibrium time for maximum ions removal was found to be 180 min in single and binary ions systems. The kinetics of adsorption was evaluated using the pseudo-first order, pseudo-second order and Elovich kinetic models. The Langmuir, Freundlich and Temkin equilibrium models were applied to the adsorption experimental data. Real wastewater samples were collected from different locations to investigate the efficiency of rice hull activated carbon in treating real samples. The real wastewater samples were treated with the activated carbon prepared from rice hulls and a commercial activated carbon. The results showed that the activated carbon prepared in the present work was more efficient in the removal of aluminium and iron from real wastewater as compared to the commercial activated carbon which is more advantageous considering both economics and environmental parameters.
