The phenolic and antioxidant constituents in Acacia nilotica fruits have become an important source of medicinal and thera-peutic benefit with powerful biological *** study investigated the phenolic content and antioxidant capacity of powdered Acacia fruits with seeds and without *** phenolic content and antioxidant capacities in them were deter-mined using Folin-Ciocalteu and DPPH free radical-scavenging *** total phenolic and antioxidants of *** with seeds were spectrophotometrically determined to be 47.61 and 6.18%greater than when the seeds were removed from the dried fruits,*** LC-MS/QTOF analysis shows the presence of 282 and 214 phenolic compounds in the methanol extracts of *** with seeds and without seeds,*** present study,therefore,revealed that dried *** fruits with seeds have higher total phenolic content,antioxidant capacity,and bioactive constituents,which indi-cated that they have more medicinal value than fruits without seeds.

Background and objective: Thyroid cancer is the most common endocrine malignancy. This report aims to describe the pattern of thyroid cancer presentations at King Abdulaziz University Hospital, Jeddah. Methods: This was a retrospect chart review of all thyroid cancer cases diagnosed between 2001 and 2010 at King Abdulaziz University Hospital, Jeddah. We documented patients’ demographic and clinical data, including age at diagnosis, tumor type and size, extrathyroidal extension, and metastasis. Results: A total of 114 thyroid cancer cases were diagnosed from 2001 through 2010. Females comprise the majority of cases (female to male ratio of 4:1). The mean ages of patients diagnosed with different thyroid cancers were: papillary thyroid cancer, 39.6 years;follicular thyroid cancer, 43.2 years;medullary thyroid cancer, 55.8 years;and anaplastic thyroid cancer, 46.0 years. Papillary thyroid cancer was diagnosed in 88 cases (77%), follicular thyroid cancer in 19 cases (17%), medullary thyroid cancer in 5 cases (4%), and anaplastic thyroid cancer in 2 cases (2%). Conclusion: Thyroid cancers are more common among females. The disease is diagnosed at a relatively young age among our patients (40 years). Papillary thyroid cancer is the most common type of thyroid cancer.

全景成像技术是一种对360°周边环境进行直接检测与成像的技术。该系统具有结构紧凑、无需移动部件和高分辨成像的特性,在机器人视觉、管道探测等领域具有广阔的应用前景。目前,大多数全景成像相机采用一系列折反光学镜片。比如鱼眼镜头,虽然可以覆盖280°的宽视场,但在成像方面有很大的缺点,主要体现为不均匀的像面照度以及随视场而变化的不均衡分辨率。由于折射法成像所能提供的视场压缩能力有限,超大视场的全景成像一般采用全景环带系统（Panoramic Annular Lens,PAL）来实现。但由于其光路特性,全景环带系统存在以下缺陷:1)由于全景透镜块状头部单元的第二反射表面遮挡了来自系统正前方的入射光线,使得其成像面的中心区域存在一块无法与外部物点共轭的圆形盲区,既降低了图像探测器的使用效率,又给使用者带来视觉上的不适感;2)由于全景系统需要在有限成像面积上完成对超大视场的成像工作,获取的图像分辨率往往比较低,无法对局部细节进行成像。在此背景下,本文提出了基于非球面镜的双视场全景环带成像系统,该系统能够消除全景系统中心盲区,提高局部细节的成像分辨率,同时增强系统结构紧凑度。由于偶次非球面元件具有比较大的设计自由度,在超大视场全景成像系统中使用偶次非球面,可以缩小或彻底消除全景系统的盲区,并且可以利用更少的光学元件实现系统像差的校正,实现局部放大功能。本文基于单视点（Single View Point,SVP）全景环带光学系统的成像特性,提出并设计了一种紧凑型折反射式全景环带成像系统。首先,基于几何光学光线追迹法和单视点模型建立了全景前端单元结构的数学模型。并利用该数学模型设计了单视点全景环带光学系统光学的全景前端单元结构（Panoramic Front Unit,PFU）。在此基础上利用Zemax-OpticStudio光学设计软件,结合偶次非球面,设计了和PFU匹配的后继透镜组（Relay Lens Group,RL）。PFU和RL两者结合,构成了一款紧凑型无盲区全景环带系统,实现了全景环带光学系统盲区的消除、像质的提升和结构的简化。本文的研究内容主要包括以下几个方面:1)建立了基于单视点模型的全景前端单元结构的数学模型传统的鱼眼镜头采用透射式结构,利用负透镜实现对超大视场光线的压缩。这一压缩过程导致在成像过程中该系统具有无法回避的较大边缘畸变,进而导致边缘视场下成像分辨率的下降。因此,采用折反射结构可以有效地解决这一问题。折反射式超大视场全景环带成像系统由全景块状头部单元（PFU）和后继透镜系统组成（RL）,光线在全景块状头部单元内完成两次反射,并由后继透镜系统校正像差。这一结构不仅使得超大视场光线的获取更加容易,而且使得系统在大视场下畸变恶化的情况得到改善。同时折射结构也使得光学系统变得更加紧凑,有利于系统的小型化发展。虽然折反射式超大视场全景环带成像系统的视场范围可以接近甚至超过半球,但是由于反射结构的存在,会损失镜头正前方的部分视场,只能将环绕光学系统周围360°空间范围内的物体按柱面投影规律一次性成像于二维环形平面上。为了解决上述问题,可以将一种称为全向镜（Omnidirectional Mirrors）的新型光学结构与相机联合使用,实现对前向视场和周向视场光线的同时采集,从而克服了传统折反式全景镜头具有盲区的缺点。通常,全向镜与传统成像系统的组合称为全向折反射系统（Omnidirectional Catadioptric System,OCS）,其水平视场角可以达到360°,垂直视场可以全部覆盖甚至超过半球。当全向镜满足单视点的限制条件时,系统进化为单视点全景成像系统,可以进一步将全景三维图转换成标准的投影图,方便实现图像处理,便于工程中的实际应用。本文从单视点（SVP）的限制条件入手,介绍了单视点的基本概念以及如何建立单视点全景视觉系统的数学模型。具有单视点的反射面应该满足:经过一个点的所有的主光线,经过光学系统后,全部汇聚于另一点。常见的具有单视点的反射镜包括椭球面反射镜、双曲面反射镜和抛物面反射镜。在一个大视场折反射系统中,通常希望具有单视点,即唯一的视场投影中心。在该处设置孔径光阑,可以轻松的对不同视场成像光束的光束口径进行调控,实现细光束成像,进而使得超大视场成像成为可能。此外,在该处设置孔径光阑还可以滤除视场外的杂散光。当后继镜组将不同视场的成像光线投影在探测器上时,每一个像素可以看作对应于经过单视点的一条入射主光线,此时投影关系明确。通过柱状投影关系,可以将采集到的环形图像展开映射为二维平面图像。为了实现消盲区的头部单元结构设计,需要使得前向视场光线能够通过头部单元而不影响周向视场的采集。基于单视点的全景镜头数学模型能够清晰描述不同视场的光线路径,可以很好地为前向视场光线窗口预留出空间。2)基于全景前端单元结构

In this paper, we analyze the enthalpy, enthalpy energy density, thermodynamic volume, and the equation of state of a modified white hole. We obtain new possible mathematical connections with some sectors of Number Theory, Ramanujan Recurring Numbers, DN Constant and String Theory, that enable us to extract the quantum geometrical properties of these thermodynamic equations and the implication to the quantum vacuum spacetime geometry of our early universe as they act as the constraints to the nature of quantum gravity of the universe.

Prediction of Success Rates of Vaginal Birth after Cesarean Delivery According to the Previous Indication for Cesarean Delivery

Background: Trial of labor after cesarean delivery (TOLAC) has long been accepted as a safe option for women with previous cesarean delivery. Previous efforts have been exerted in trials to predict the success rates of TOLAC according to specific parameters related to previous cesarean section and before TOLAC. We aimed to investigate the different indications of previous cesarean delivery as independent predictors for successful vaginal birth. Methods: A retrospective study was conducted in Armed Forces Hospitals of the Southern Region between December 15, 2019, and July 1, 2020. The included 566 patients with previous cesarean section who were willing to undergo a trial of labor were divided into two groups according to the success of vaginal birth (VBAC). Results: The nonrecurring indications for previous cesarean delivery were higher in the successful group (fetal distress 54.7% vs 41.1%, malpresentation 26% vs 21.4%, multifetal pregnancy 3.8% vs 2.7%). Additionally, the successful VBAC group had a significantly higher percentage of previous successful VBAC (47.7% vs 21.9%) and prior vaginal deliveries (58.5% vs 44.2%) and less coincidence of medical disorders and meconium-stained liquor (18.1% vs 26.3% and 3.2% vs 8.2%, respectively) than the unsuccessful group. Conclusion: During counseling regarding trial of labor after cesarean section, indications for previous cesarean section not related to arrest of labor can predict higher success of VBAC. Moreover, previous successful vaginal delivery or VBAC improves the success rates.

Detection of HER-2/neu Amplification on Fine Needle Aspirates of Breast Cancer Using Fluorescence in Situ Hybridization

The accuracy of diagnostic assays for HER-2/neu in breast cancer is extremely important as HER-2/neu status is essential in tailoring adjuvant and/or neoadjuvant treatment in every patient. FNAC is widely practiced in Egypt in preoperative diagnosis of breast cancer for its low cost and high diagnostic accuracy. Since the determination of HER-2/neu protein expression on cytological preparations was previously found to be unreliable for clinical use, we opted for the assessment of HER-2/neu status in fine needle aspirates using FISH. The main objective of this study was to evaluate the reliability of HER-2/neu status assessment by FISH on fine needle aspirates of breast cancers by comparing the results with IHC and FISH on FFPE tissue sections obtained from corresponding surgically resected specimens. Fine needle aspirates from 40 breast cancer patients with pathologically confirmed breast cancer were included in the study. They were submitted for HER-2/neu evaluation by FISH. After surgery, the corresponding FFPE sections were evaluated for HER-2/neu by FISH and by IHC. FNAs from 11 cases proved to be amplified by FISH, while 29 cases were not amplified. Apart from two cases that showed lack of signals, all specimens evaluated by FISH on the corresponding FFPE sections showed matched results. The Measurement of Agreement between FISH on FNAs and FISH on FFPE sections was 86.7%, while that between FISH on FNAs and IHC was 72.5%. The high concordance rate in the present study between FISH evaluation of HER-2/neu gene amplification on FNAC samples and their corresponding FFPE samples indicate that FISH may be a reliable technique for HER-2/neu assessment on FNAs. Furthermore, FISH on FNAs gave us better hybridization signals than their corresponding FFPE tissue sections. Finally, we also conclude that all score (2+) cases by IHC should be reevaluated by FISH which is crucial for the patient management.

Snake Robots(SR)have been successfully deployed and proved to attain bio-inspired solutions owing to its capability to move in harsh environments,a characteristic not found in other kinds of robots(like wheeled or legged robots).Underwater Snake Robots(USR)establish a bioinspired solution in the domain of underwater *** is a key challenge to increase the motion efficiency in underwater robots,with respect to forwarding speed,by enhancing the locomotion *** the same time,energy efficiency is also considered as a crucial issue for long-term automation of the *** this aspect,the current research paper concentrates on the design of effectual Locomotion of Bioinspired Underwater Snake Robots using Metaheuristic Algorithm(LBIUSR-MA).The proposed LBIUSR-MA technique derives a bi-objective optimization problem to maximize the ForwardVelocity(FV)and minimize the Average Power Consumption(APC).LBIUSR-MA technique involves the design ofManta Ray Foraging Optimization(MRFO)technique and derives two objective functions to resolve the optimization *** addition to these,effective weighted sum technique is also used for the integration of two objective ***,the objective functions are required to be assessed for varying gait variables so as to inspect the performance of locomotion.A detailed set of simulation analyses was conducted and the experimental results demonstrate that the developed LBIUSR-MA method achieved a low Average Power Consumption(APC)value of 80.52W underδvalue of *** proposed model accomplished the minimum PAC and maximum FV of USR in an effective manner.
