Neuroblastoma(NB),the most common cancer at infancy,is derived from a selective sympathoadrenal lineage of the neural crest cells[1-3].The majority of NB is found in children younger than 5 years(median age:2 years)and is rare in children older than 10 *** NB accounts for only 5-6%of the childhood cancers,it heavily contributes(about 15%)to pediatric cancer deaths[4,5].

BAcKGROUND Transfusion transmissible infections(TTIs)are illnesses spread through contaminated blood or blood *** India,screening for TTIs such as hepatitis B virus(HBV),hepatitis c virus(HcV),human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)-I/II,malaria,and syphilis is mandatory before blood ***,HcV,HBV,and HIV are the leading viruses causing mortality,affecting millions of people globally,including those with co-infections of HIV/HcV and HIV/*** highlight the impact of TTIs on life expectancy and health risks,such as liver cirrhosis,cancer,and other diseases in individuals with chronic ***,millions of blood donations take place annually,emphasizing the importance of maintaining blood *** To study the prevalence of TTIs,viz.,HBV,HcV,HIV I/II,syphilis,and malaria parasite(MP),among different blood donor *** The study assessed the prevalence of TTIs among different blood donor groups in Delhi,*** included total donors,in-house donors,total camp donors,institutional camp donors,and community camp *** for HIV,HBV,and HcV were done using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay,while syphilis was tested with rapid plasma reagins and MP rapid card *** prevalence of HBV,HcV,HIV,and syphilis,expressed as *** in infection rates between the groups were analyzed usingχ²tests and P-values(less than 0.05).RESULTS The study evaluated TTIs among 42158 blood donors in *** overall cumulative frequency of TTIs in total blood donors was 2.071%,and the frequencies of HBV,HcV,HIV-I/II,venereal disease research laboratory,and MP were 1.048%,0.425%,0.221%,0.377%,and 0.0024%,***-house donors,representing 37656 donors,had the highest transfusion transmissible infection(TTI)prevalence at 2.167%.Among total camp donors(4502 donors),TTIs were identified in 1.266%of donors,while community camp donors(2439 donors)exhibited a prevalence of 1.558%.Institutional camp donors(2063 donors)had the l

Improving the efficacy of phytoextraction is critical for its successful application in metal contaminated soils. Mineral nutrition affects plant growth and metal absorption and subsequently the accumulation of heavy metal through hyper-accumulator plants. This study assessed the effects of di-hydrogen phosphates （KH2PO4, ca（H2PO4）2, NaH2PO4 and NH4H2PO4） application at three levels （22, 88 and 352 mg P/kg soil） on Sedum alfredii growth and metal uptake by three consecutive harvests on aged and Zn/cd combined contaminated paddy soil. The addition of phosphates （P） significantly increased the amount of Zn taken up by S. alfredii due to increased shoot Zn concentration and dry matter yield （DMY）（P 〈 0.05）. The highest phytoextraction of Zn and cd was observed in KH2PO4 and NH4H2PO4 treatment at 352 mg P/kg soil. The amount of Zn removed by phytoextraction increased in the order of 1st clipping 〈 2nd clipping 〈 3rd clipping, and for cd extraction the order was 2nd clipping 〈 1st clipping 〈 3rd clipping. These results indicate that the application of P fertilizers coupled with multiple cuttings can enhance the removal of Zn and cd from contaminated soils by S. alfredii, thus shortening the time needed for accomplishing remediation goals.

Water distribution network(WDN)leakage management has received increased attention in recent *** of the most successful leakage-control strategies is to divide the network into District Metered Areas(DMAs).As a multi-staged technique,the generation of DMAs is a difficult task in design and implementation(i.e.,clustering,sectorization,and performance evaluation).Previous studies on DMAs implementation did not consider the potential use of existing valves in achieving the *** this work,a methodology is proposed for detecting clusters and reducing the cost of additional valves and DMA sectorization by considering existing valves as much as *** procedure of DMAs identification has been divided into three stages,i.e.,a)clusters identification;b)sectorization or boundaries optimization and c)performance evaluation of the partitioned *** proposed methodology is evaluated on a simple network and a real-world water network with the findings provided and compared to the DMAs,established for a raw water network with no existing *** is found that there is an adequate difference in cost of strategy implementation in both the cases for the network under consideration and the existing valve system achieved better network performance in terms of resilience index.

Monophasic ce3＋-doped yttrium aluminum garnet （ce：YAG） nanoparticles with high crystallinity and tunable grain size ranging from -19-30 nm were prepared by a modified co-precipitation process with a follow-up calcination treatment. For the syn- thesis, aluminum, yttrium, and cerium nitrates were used as starting materials, ammonium sulfate as dispersant, and a combination of ammonium bicarbonate and ammonia as precipitating agent. Influence of precipitation temperature, the pH value of precipitant solu- tions, aging period, calcination conditions, and ce-doping level were investigated for controlling the purity, particle size, and photo- luminescence performance of the ce：YAG nanoparticles. High-purity YAG nanoparticles were prepared at pH= 10.50-11.00 and cal- cination temperatures of 850-1100 ~c with a calcination time of 3 h. With increasing ce3＋ concentration, the peak in the emission spectra of the obtained nanopowders shifted from 529 nm for the 0.67 wt.%-ce：YAG to 544 nm for the 3.4 wt.%-ce：YAG, while the strongest photoluminescence intensity was observed for the 1.3 wt.%-ce：YAG nanoparticles.

Phylogenetic analysis and biological characteristic tests of marine bacteria isolated from Southern Ocean(Indian sector)water

Fifty-seven bacteria were isolated from Southern Ocean （Indian sector） water samples which were collected from different latitude and longitude of the ocean. All the isolates were able to grow at 4℃, 20℃, 37℃ and tolerable NacI concentration up to 13.5% （w/v）. 29 out of 57 isolates were identified using 16S rDNA amplification and the sequences were submitted to National center for Biotechnology Information （NcBI）. All the isolates were classified by using Ribosomal Database Project （RDP） and found that isolates belongs to Proteobacteria and Bacteriodes. The average G＋c content was 56.4%. The isolates were screened for the presence of extracellular enzymes, viz. amylase, catalase, urease, esterase, lipase and protease. The disc diffusion method is used to screen antibiotic production by the isolates against four pathogenic bacteria, viz. Salmonella typhimurium （NcIM 2501）, Staphylococcus aureus （NcIM 2122）, Bacillus subtilis （NcIM 2193）, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa （NcIM 2036）. Nine out of 29 were found to be antibiotic producer.

Two congeneric aphidophagous ladybirds, coccinella septempunctata and coccinella transversalis, were reared on three aphid species, Lipaphis erysimi, Myzus persicae and Aphis nerii, to estimate the effect of prey quality and intra- and interspecific interactions on their survival and development of life stages. Mortality of first instar ladybirds of both species was highest feeding on A. nerii. Preimaginal mortafity was lowest when feeding on L. erysimi （c. septempunctata, 1.6% and c. transversalis, 3.2%）, and highest when feeding on A. nerii （ c. septempunctata, 6.2% and c. transversalis, 8.2%）. comparatively higher weight and larger size of c. septempunctata along with the lower levels of mortality recorded suggested that it is more likely to have acted as an intraguild predator than c. transversalis. High recorded mortality of c. transversalis is attributed to probable intraguild predation on account of its smaller size. The major sources of mortality were probably cannibalism, intraguild predation and other unknown factors. Lower prey quality increased the incidence of cannibalism and intraguild predation, especially in c. transversalis. The investigation suggests an intrinsic competitive advantage for c. septempunctata over c. transversalis in guilds of three aphid species.
