Almost every country requires some form of environmental licensing prior to the inception of development projects that may affect the integrity of the environment and its social *** developed a new conceptual and methodological model to instruct the assessment of the potential impacts posed by proposed *** to Human interventions for Environmental Licensing Determination(SHiELD)includes a novel geomorphological interpretation of the Environmental impact Assessment(EiA).it considers the impact of human interventions on geomorphological processes and landscape functioning in the context of the entire ecosystem,going further than the classical concept of *** susceptibility of the site informs the screening stage,allowing local conditions to help define the criteria used in the ***,the level of detail of the environmental baseline is scoped by considering the degree of disturbance of natural processes posed by human *** this geomorphological susceptibility model on different kinds of environments would allow shifting the environmental licensing practices from the prevailing anthropocentric and static conception of the environment towards an Ecosystem *** addresses the need to improve the screening and scoping stages that form the basis of the rest of any *** introduces several innovations to EiA including the incorporation of fuzzy logic,a preassembled database of contributions form experts,and a shifting of emphasis from the type of proposed intervention to the type of environment and its relative susceptibility.

With over 100000 hospital admissions per annum,acute pancreatitis remains the leading gastrointestinal cause of hospitalization in the United States and has farreaching impact well *** has become increasingly recognized that druginduced pancreatitis(DiP),despite accounting for less than 3%of all cases,represents an important and growing though often inconspicuous cause of acute ***,knowledge of DiP is often curtailed by the limited availability of evidence needed to implicate given agents,especially for nonprescription ***,the majority of available data is derived from case reports,case series,or case control ***,the mechanism of injury and causality for many of these drugs remain elusive as a definitive correlation is generally not established(of cases).Several classification systems have been proposed,but no single system has been widely adopted,and periodic updates are required in light of ongoing pharmacologic ***,infrequently prescribed medications or those available over-thecounter(including herbal and other alternative remedies)are often overlooked as a potential culprit of acute ***,we review the ever-increasing diversity of DiP and the potential mechanisms of injury with the goal of raising awareness regarding the nature and magnitude of this *** believe this manuscript will aid in increasing both primary and secondary prevention of DiP,thus ultimately facilitating more expedient diagnosis and a decrease in DiPrelated morbidity.

Glioblastoma is a highly aggressive brain tumor,very invasive and thus difficult to eradicate with standard oncology *** treatments based on pulsed electric fields have proven to be a successful method to treat cancerous ***,they rely on stiff electrodes,which cause acute and chronic injuries,especially in soft tissues like the *** we demonstrate the feasibility of delivering pulsed electric fields with flexible electronics using an in ovo vascularized tumor *** show with fluorescence widefield and multiphoton microscopy that pulsed electric fields induce vasoconstriction of blood vessels and evoke calcium signals in vascularized glioblastoma spheroids stably expressing a genetically encoded fluorescence *** of the electric field delivery are compared with the measured influence of electric field effects on cell membrane integrity in exposed tumor *** results confirm the feasibility of flexible electronics as a means of delivering intense pulsed electric fields to tumors in an intravital 3D vascularized model of human glioblastoma.

We report on a new species of enantiornithine bird from the Lower Cretaceous Qiaotou Formation of northern Hebei, China. The new taxon, Shenqiornis mengi gen. et sp. nov., possesses several enantiornithine synapomorphies but is unique from other known species. The specimen has a well-preserved skull that reveals new information about enantiornithine cranial morphology. The new taxon possesses a large postorbital with a long tapering jugal process indicating that some enantiornithines may have had a fully diapsid skull, as in Confuciusornis. The tooth morphology of the specimen is unique and likely represents a previously unknown trophic specialization within Enantiornithes.

We theoretically demonstrate a rich and significant new families of exact spatially localized and periodic wave solutions for a modified Korteweg–de Vries *** model applies for the description of different nonlinear structures which include breathers,interacting solitons and interacting periodic wave solutions.A joint parameter which can take both positive and negative values of unity appeared in the functional forms of those closed form solutions,thus implying that every solution is determined for each value of this *** results indicate that the existence of newly derived structures depend on whether the type of nonlinearity of the medium should be considered self-focusing or *** obtained nonlinear waveforms show interesting properties that may find practical applications.
