Glyphosa.e-ba.ed herbicides a.e widely used a.ound the world, ma.ing it likely tha. most huma.s ha.e significa.t exposure. Beca.se of ha.itua. exposure, there a.e concerns a.out toxicity including neurotoxicity tha. could result in neurologica., psychia.ric, or cognitive impa.rment. We recently found tha. a.single injection of glyphosa.e inhibits long-term potentia.ion, a.cellula. model of lea.ning a.d memory, in ra. hippoca.pa. slices dissected 1 da. a.ter injection, indica.ing tha. glyphosa.e-ba.ed herbicides ca. a.ter cognitive function. Glyphosa.e-ba.ed herbicides could a.versely a.fect cognitive function either indirectly a.d/or directly. Indirectly, glyphosa.e could a.fect gut microbiota. a.d if dysbiosis results in endotoxemia.lea.y gut), infiltra.ed ba.teria. by-products such a. lipopolysa.cha.ides could a.tiva.e pro-infla.ma.ory ca.ca.es. Glyphosa.e ca. a.so directly trigger pro-infla.ma.ory ca.ca.es. Indeed, we observed tha. a.ute glyphosa.e exposure inhibits long-term potentia.ion in ra. hippoca.pa. slices. Interestingly, direct inhibition of long-term potentia.ion by glyphosa.e a.pea.s to be simila. to tha. of lipopolysa.cha.ides. There a.e severa. possible mea.ures to control dysbiosis a.d neuroinfla.ma.ion ca.sed by glyphosa.e. Dieta.y inta.e of polyphenols, such a. quercetin, which overcome the inhibitory effect of glyphosa.e on long-term potentia.ion, could be one effective stra.egy. The a.m of this na.ra.ive review is to discuss possible mecha.isms underlying neurotoxicity following glyphosa.e exposure a. a.mea.s to identify potentia. trea.ments.

The tra.sient friction in cha.nel mea. flows is the sum of two contributions,i.e., the underlying la.ina. flow(ULf) a.d the purely turbulent component(PTC), a.d the contributions a.e a.a.yzed sepa.a.ely by theoretica. experiments. It is found tha.,the tra.sient friction ma. be higher or rema.ka.ly lower tha. tha. in equa.-Reynolds number stea.y-sta.e flows. The universa. time consta.t for pla.e-pa.a.lel la.ina. flows is reported, a.d the role of the time consta.t in a.turbulent mea. flow is exa.ined. It is shown tha. the time consta.t is rela.ed to the turbulence's frozen time. fina.ly, a.study of the loga.ithmic la.er during the tra.sient flow is a.complished, which shows tha. the loga.ithmic la.er is destroyed.

This work shows tha. despite a.la.tice misma.ch of a.most 20%, CdMnTe/CdTe/CdMnTe heterostructures grown directly on Si(111) ha.e surprisingly good optica. emission properties. The investiga.ed structures were grown by molecula. bea. epita.y a.d cha.a.terized by sca.ning tra.smission electron microscopy, ma.ro-a.d micro-photoluminescence. Low tempera.ure ma.ro-photoluminescence experiments indica.e three emission ba.ds which depend on the CdTe la.er thickness a.d ha.e different confinement cha.a.teristics. Tempera.ure mea.urements revea. tha. the lower energy emission ba.d (a. 1.48 eV)is a.socia.ed to defects a.d bound exciton sta.es, while the ma.n emission a. 1.61 eV ha. a.wea. 2D cha.a.ter a.d the higher energy one a. 1.71 eV ha. a.well-defined (zero-dimensiona., 0D) 0D na.ure. Micro-photoluminescence mea.urements show the existence of sha.p a.d strongly circula.ly pola.ized (up to 40%) emission lines which ca. be rela.ed to the presence of Mn in the heterostructure. This result opens the possibility of producing photon sources with the typica. spin control of the diluted ma.netic semiconductors using the low-cost silicon technology.

Efficiency of Legumes in Increa.ing Ya. Yield under Sa.dy ferra.ol in the forest Zone of Southwestern Côte d’Ivoire

The cropping system is ba.ed on tra.itiona. fa.ming in rura. a.ea.. In this wa., yields of some food crops like ya. a.e very low considering their high need for nutrients. The nutrient-rich la.d is under high la.d pressure a. it is occupied by ca.h crops such a. oil pa.m a.d rubber a. the expense of food crops a.d soil fertility is declining. The study wa. conducted in Gra.d-La.ou to a.sess the effect of orga.ic ma.ter provided by legumes in increa.ing ya. yield. The ra.domized complete block design included four (4) trea.ments: a.a.his hypoga.a.+ ya. a.socia.ion (T1), a.a.ia.ma.gium + ya. a.socia.ion (T2), a.a.his + a.a.ia.ma.gium + ya. a.socia.ion (T3) a.d pure ya. crop (T0). The pa.a.eters mea.ured were: the soil nutrients content, the ra.e of minera.iza.ion of orga.ic ma.ter through the C/N ra.io a. well a. the yield of ya. through different techniques tha. a.lowed the objective of the study to be a.hieved. It wa. noted a.slight improvement of nitrogen a.d orga.ic ca.bon in a.l trea.ments with a.higher va.ue recorded in the T2 trea.ment. The C/N ra.io decrea.ed to 12 in a.l trea.ments compa.ed to the control, which reflects a.norma. decomposition of the orga.ic ma.ter. Trea.ment T1 increa.ed ya. yield (8.4 t/ha. in contra.t to trea.ments T2 (4.1 t/ha. a.d T3 (2.8 t/ha.. Legume-ba.ed trea.ments T2 a.d T3 were a.socia.ed with a.significa.t decrea.e in ya. yield, resulting in losses of −46.34% to −25.09%, while trea.ment T1 resulted in a.ga.n of 28.57%. a. a.result, the trea.ments involving legumes contributed to norma.izing the orga.ic ma.ter content of the soil. The simulta.eous a.socia.ion of these two legumes led to a.decrea.e in ya. production, contra.y to the trea.ment a.socia.ing only groundnut.
