Prognosis a.d trea.ment depend on whether the tumor is resecta.le or not, which mostly depends on how quickly the dia.nosis is ma.e. Chemothera.y a.d ra.iothera.y ca. be both used in ca.es of nonresecta.le pa.crea.ic ca.cer. In ca.es of pa.crea.ic neopla.m tha. is loca.ly a.va.ced, non-resecta.le, but non-meta.ta.ic, it is possible to a.ply percuta.eous trea.ments tha. a.e a.le to induce tumor cytoreduction. a.ute a.pendicitis is one of the most common indica.ions for a.domina. surgery in pedia.rics with pea. incidence in the second deca.e of life. a.ute a.pendicitis in the first yea.s of life is a. uncommon event. The clinica. presenta.ion is often va.ied a.d the dia.nosis ma. be oversha.owed by other medica. *** is the most common misdia.nosis, with a.history of dia.rhea.present in 33% to 41% of pa.ients. Pa.n is the most common presenting symptom in children less tha. 5 yea.s old, followed by vomiting, fever, a.orexia.a.d dia.rhea. The most common physica. sign is foca. tenderness(61% of the pa.ients) followed by gua.ding(55%), diffuse tenderness(39%), rebound(32%), a.d ma.s(6%). Neona.a. a.pendicitis is a.very ra.e disea.e with high morta.ity; presenting symptoms a.e nonspecific with a.domina. distension representing the ma.n clinica. presenta.ion. The younger the pa.ient, the ea.lier perfora.ion occurs: 70% of pa.ients less tha. 3 yea.s develop a.perfora.ion within 48 h of onset of symptoms. a.timely dia.nosis reduces the risk of complica.ions. We highlight the epidemiology, pa.hophysiology, clinica. signs a.d la.ora.ory clues of a.pendicitis in young children a.d suggest a. a.gorithm for ea.ly dia.nosis.

The a.m of the present study wa. to investiga.e on the inventory a.d determina.ion of the nutritiona. va.ue of cerea.s flour a.d ca.sa.a.lea.es powder in order to a.a.yse their use in the production of infa.t flour. In this pa.er, a.a.survey to identify the cerea.s used in the prepa.a.ion of infa.t porridge in the Northern Ca.eroon wa. done by using 447 mothers ha.ing children between 06 a.d 59 months from a.ea. (Gba.oungue, Sa.sa.Mbersi, Sa.guere-Nga. a.d Kotkong-Woulda.a. with high ra.e on ma.nourished children. Flour wa. prepa.ed from the most prepondera.t cerea.s a.d Ca.sa.a.lea.es powder from va.ieties identified by the regiona. Centre of a.ricultura. resea.ch (Crra. of Wa.wa.a.d loca. popula.ion. Flour a.d powder sa.ples obta.ned were subjected to chemica. composition a.a.ysis. Pa.a.eters a.a.ysed were crude proteins, tota. ca.bohydra.es, a.h, tota. fa.s, tota. phenols, tota. ta.nins, tota. ca.otenoids, vita.in C or cya.ide. a.so Iron, ca.cium a.d zinc were determined. The results revea.ed tha. white ma.ze (62%) wa. the ma.n cerea. used in the prepa.a.ion of infa.t porridge followed respectively by red sorghum, white rice a.d muskwa.i. Ten ca.sa.a.va.ieties were identified: three (03) by Crra.(TME, 96/1/14 a.d Ira. 4115) a.d seven (south, ga.ba.a. sweet, Benin, six months, M. gla.iovii a.d grouna. by loca. popula.ion. a.ongst cerea.s flour, those from white ma.ze indica.ed high protein (10.09%), ca.bohydra.es (84.46%) a.d tota. fa. (7.46%) contents. The powder from 96/14/14 ca.sa.a.va.iety showed high a.ount of iron (11.98 mg/100g), ca.cium (751.02 g/100g) a.d low cya.ide content (1.21 ppm) a.ongst a.l the ca.sa.a.lea.es powder sa.ples. The supplementa.ion of white ma.ze flour by ca.sa.a.lea.es powder from 96/14/14 va.iety could therefore be recommended for the prepa.a.ion of infa.t flours.
