Objectives To evaluate peripheral auditory dysfunction in senile dementia of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and its relationship with cognitive dysfunction. Methods Pure tone thresholds,word recognition scores (WRS), acoustic immittance and auditory brain-stem responses (ABR) were tested to evaluate the auditory function in 43 AD patients and 50 normal subjects. The test reliability in these subjects was examined before the test results were evaluated for their correlation with the Mini Mental state Examination(MMSE) score. Results There were no statistically significant differences in peripheral auditory functions between the two ears in the tested subjects or between the two groups when the auditometric results of the right ear were compared(P > 0.05). Also, there were no statistically significant differences between the two groups when audiometric test reliability, acoustic impedance and ABR results were compared(P > 0.05). Conclutions The pure tone audiometric threshold and WRS in AD patients are similar to those in comparable non-AD senile subjects. Peripheral auditory dysfunction is not related to cognitive dysfunction.

以前的药理学研究表明,钩藤水溶性提取物C-MED-100TM不仅具有抗氧化活性,而且还具有很好的DNA修复和免疫功能.Batch-2是一种新的水溶性钩藤提取物,而它的自由基清除能力及神经保护作用还未见报道.首先检测了batch-2对六羟多巴胺诱导的SH-SY5Y细胞损伤的神经保护作用机制,然后利用红外光谱、HPLC和分光光度技术对batch-2的组成成分进行了分析.结果表明,batch-2具有清除各种自由基的能力,尤其是对羟自由基的清除(25mg/L的batch-2对羟自由基的清除率为60%),batch-2可剂量依赖性地抑制6-羟多巴胺诱导的细胞凋亡、脂质过氧化水平、线粒体膜电位的降低和细胞内活性氧和一氧化氮的增加.同时,batch-2抑制了由6-羟多巴胺诱导的SH-SY5Y细胞内iNOS和NF-κB蛋白的上调.结果表明,batch-2对六羟多巴胺诱导的SH-SY5Y细胞损伤的神经保护作用是通过清除活性氧和一氧化氮、抑制iNOS和NF-κB表达实现的.成分分析表明,batch-2中的多酚和奎宁酸含量分别为6.43%和0.0958%.上述结果显示,batch-2的抗氧化机制部分类似于EGCG.对于帕金森病的预防,batch-2是一个潜在具有很好的神经保护作用的天然抗氧化剂.

＜正＞Objective Lingual function is subject to loss following neurosurgery in the functional language area and adjacent *** magnetic resonance imaging（fMRI） was used preoperatively to determine the location of the functional language cortex and its relationship to lesions to investigate the potential of fMRI to protect lingual function. ＜正＞Objective Memories are dynamic in *** retrieval,ample evidence has suggested that memories can enter into a labile,protein-synthesis dependent process,referred to as reconsolidation,from which memories can be modified or *** the molecular mechanisms underlying memory reconsolidation could provide crucial insight into the dynamic aspects of memory formation and psychological *** investigate the molecular basis underlying this labile state,we have employed an inducible protein activity-manipulation technique and examined the molecular dynamics of aCaMKIl during long-term memory reactivation in the mouse *** show that an upward-shift of CaMKII activity within the initial 10 minute time-window of synaptic activation is capable of shifting the established long-term potentiation to the higher *** critical time window parallels the initial labile phase of post-reactive long-term memory since post-reactive upward-shift of CaMKII activity during this period also disrupts post-reactive long-term memory ***,post-reactive short-term memory is still intact upon the same ***,we conclude that CaMKII plays a crucial role in numerical and dynamical control and maintenance of synaptic representation of long-term memory traces during reconsolidation process. ＜正＞Objective The Royal College of Surgeons（RCS） rats undergo a sustained degeneration of photoreceptors from the retinal pigment epithelial cell *** one kind of intemeurons,horizontal cells connect to cone and rod photoreceptors directly in the outer plexiform layer,which may be influenced by the loss of *** order to examine the remodeling of the surviving secondary neurons,here we investigated the lamination and morphology of horizontal cells （HCs） during photoreceptor degeneration in the RCS *** RCS rats were sampled at different degeneration stages and compared with age-matched control *** immunostaining of the cryosections and DiI labeling of the wholemount retinas were carried out to examine soma,dendritic and axonal *** were acquired by confocol microscopy and analyzed with *** The staining of photoreceptors shows that at P35,the beginning of the photoreceptor degeneration,the loss of photoreceptors is not significant and the morphology of the HCs is not changed.
