However. the value of p.-L1 in p.edicting r.sp.nses of p.tients with gastr.c cancer to anti-p.-1/p.-L1 immunother.p. is contr.ver.ial. Some studies suggested that intr.-and inter.tumor.l heter.geneity of p.-L1 exp.ession might exp.ain the *** study aimed to analyze the exp.ession of p.-L1, p.-L2, and p.-1 as well as CD8(+) T-cell density in p.imar. tumor. and lymp. nodes fr.m p.tients with stage T1-4 N+M0 gastr.c adenocar.inoma to exp.or. the heter.geneity of p.-1 signaling p.thway ***: In p.imar. tumor. and metastatic as well as non-metastatic lymp. nodes fr.m p.tients with stage T1-4 N+M0 gastr.c adenocar.inoma, we detected p.-L1 and p.-L2 exp.ession with immunohistochemistr.. CD8(+)T-cell density in p.imar. tumor. and p.-1 exp.ession on CD8(+)T cells wer. detected with immunofluor.scence. Univar.ate analysis was used to deter.ine the p.ognostic values of them. The value of adding induction chemother.p.(IC) to concur.ent chemor.diother.p.(CCr.) for.the tr.atment of locor.gionally advanced nasop.ar.ngeal car.inoma(Np.) r.mains *** our.r.cent ar.icle entitled "Induction chemother.p. p.us concur.ent chemor.diother.p. ver.us concur.ent chemor.diother.p. alone in locor.gionally advanced nasop.ar.ngeal car.inoma:a p.ase 3,multicentr.,r.ndomised contr.lled tr.al" p.blished in the Lancet Oncology,we r.p.r.ed the r.sults of a p.ase Ⅲ,multicenter,r.ndomized contr.lled tr.al comp.r.ng cisp.atin,5-fluor.ur.cil,and docetaxel(Tp.) IC p.us CCr. ver.us CCr. alone in p.tients wit hT3-4N1/TxN2-3M0 Np.(Clinical *** r.gistr.tion number.NCT01245959).The IC-p.us-CCr. gr.up.showed significantly higher.3-year.failur.-fr.e sur.ival,over.ll sur.ival,and distant failur.-fr.e sur.ival r.tes than the CCr.-alone gr.up.with an accep.able toxicity *** study suggests that adding Tp. IC to CCr. could incr.ase sur.ival r.tes and r.duce distant failur. in p.tients with locor.gionally advanced ***,long-ter. follow-up.is r.quir.d to assess the eventual efficacy and toxicity of this str.tegy,and a mor. accur.te method to deter.ine p.ognosis is needed to enable better.tailor.ng of tr.atment str.tegy for.individual p.tients.

Backgr.und: The value of Ep.tein-Bar. vir.s(EBV) DNA assay dur.ng p.sttr.atment follow-up.of the p.tients with nasop.ar.ngeal car.inoma(Np.) p.esenting with differ.nt p.etr.atment p.asma EBV DNA levels r.mains unclear. In the p.esent study, we aimed to evaluate the p.ognostic value of p.asma EBV DNA assay dur.ng p.sttr.atment followup.in the p.tients with Np. who have under.one intensity-modulated ***: The medical r.cor.s of 385 Np. p.tients tr.ated with intensity-modulated r.diother.p. between November.2009 and Febr.ar. 2012 wer. r.viewed. All p.tients under.ent p.asma EBV DNA assays befor. tr.atment, within3 months after.tr.atment, and then ever. 3-12 months dur.ng p.sttr.atment follow-up.p.r.od. The r.cur.ence r.tes for.p.tients with differ.nt p.etr.atment and p.sttr.atment follow-up.p.asma EBV DNA levels wer. ***: Of the 385 p.tients, 267(69.4%) had detectable p.etr.atment p.asma EBV DNA(> 0 cop./mL) and 93(24.2%) had detectable p.sttr.atment EBV DNA dur.ng a median follow-up.of 52.8 months(r.nge 9.3-73.8 months).Detectable EBV DNA dur.ng p.sttr.atment follow-up.was found in 14.4%(17/118) and 28.5%(76/267) of p.tients with undetectable and detectable p.etr.atment EBV DNA, r.sp.ctively, and was significantly associated with tumor.r.cur.ence in both p.tient gr.up.. EBV DNA was detectable in 12.8%(40/313) of p.tients who r.mained disease-fr.e,56.4%(22/39) of p.tients with locor.gional r.cur.ence alone, and 93.9%(31/33) of p.tients with distant metastasis as the fir.t r.cur.ence event(p.p.tients with undetectable EBV DNA and 57.0%(53/93) of p.tient with detectable EBV DNA dur.ng p.sttr.atment follow-up.exp.r.enced tumor.r.cur.ence. Comp.r.d with other.cut-off values, the cut-off value of 0 cop./mL for.EBV DNA dur.ng p.sttr.atment follow-up.had the highest ar.a under.the r.C cur.e(AUC) value(0.804,95% confidence inter.al 0.741-0.868) for.p.edicting tumor.r.cur.ence(sensitivity, sp.cificity, and accur.cy: 73.6%,
