Enhancing microseismic/acoustic emission source localization accuracy with an outlier-robust kernel density estimation approach

Monitoring sensors in complex engineering environments often record abnormal data,leading to significant positioning *** reduce the influence of abnormal arrival times,we introduce an innovative,outlier-robust localization method that integrates kernel density estimation(KDE)with damping linear correction to enhance the precision of microseismic/acoustic emission(MS/AE)source *** approach systematically addresses abnormal arrival times through a three-step process:initial location by 4-arrival combinations,elimination of outliers based on three-dimensional KDE,and refinement using a linear correction with an adaptive damping *** validate our method through lead-breaking experiments,demonstrating over a 2.%improvement in positioning accuracy with a maximum error of 9.12.mm(relative error of 15.80%)—outperforming 4 existing *** under various system errors,outlier scales,and ratios substantiate our method’s superior *** blasting experiments also confirm the practical applicability,with an average positioning error of 11.71 m(relative error of 7.59%),compared to 2..56,66.09,16.95,and 2..52.m for other *** research is significant as it enhances the robustness of MS/AE source localization when confronted with data *** also provides a practical solution for real-world engineering and safety monitoring applications.

In the present work,seven Mg-Zn-Ag alloys with the nominal composition of Mg_(96-x)Zn_(x)Ag_(4)(x=17,2.,2.,2.,2.,32.35 in at.%)were prepared by induction melting and single-roller *** X-ray diffraction(XRD)analyses indicate the metallic glasses with three composition of Mg_(73)Zn_(2.)Ag_(4),Mg_(70)Zn_(2.)Ag_(4),and Mg_(67)Zn_(2.)Ag_(4)were obtained *** differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)measurement was used to obtain the characteristic temperature of Mg-Zn-Ag metallic glasses for the glass-forming ability *** maximum glass transition temperature(Trg)was found to be 0.52. with a composition close to Mg_(67)Zn_(2.)Ag_(4),which results in the best glass-forming ***,the immersion test in simulated body fluid(SBF)demonstrate the relative homogeneous corrosion behavior of the Mg-Zn-Ag metallic *** corrosion rate of Mg-Zn-Ag metallic glasses in SBF solution decreases with the increase of Zn *** sample Mg_(67)Zn_(2.)Ag_(4)has the lowest corrosion rate of 0.19mm/yr,which could meet the clinical application requirement *** in vitro cell experiments show that the Madin-Darby canine kidney(MDCK)cells cultured in sample Mg_(67)Zn_(2.)Ag_(4)and its extraction medium have higher ***,the Mg-Zn-Ag metallic glasses exhibit obvious inhibitory effect on human rhabdomyosarcoma(RD)tumor *** present investigations on the glass-forming ability,corrosion behavior,cytocompatibility and tumor inhibition function of the Mg-Zn-Ag based metallic glass could reveal their biomedical application possibility.

Phosphine/Benzocyclone-based Neutral Nickel Catalysts for Ethylene Polymerization and Copolymerization with Polar Monomers

The efficient copolymerization of olefin with polar monomers using nickel-based catalysts presents a longstanding challenge. In this contribution, three phosphine-benzocyclone ligands and corresponding neutral nickel catalysts(Ni1: Ar = Ph;Ni2. Ar = 2.(C_(6)H_(5))C_(6)H_(4);Ni3: Ar = 2.[2.,6'-(Me O)_(2.-C_(6)H3]C_(6)H_(4)) were prepared and applied for the ethylene polymerization and copolymerization with polar monomers without any cocatalyst. The bulky substituent groups in complexes Ni2.and Ni3 contributed to high catalytic activities(up to 7.2.×10^(6) and 9.04×10^(6)g·mol Ni^(-1)·h^(-1), respectively), and produced high-molecular-weight polyethylene(Mw up to 545.7 k Da). Complex Ni3 exhibited high activities for ethylene polymerization at the level of 10^(6) g·mol Ni^(-1)·h^(-1) across a wide range from 30 ℃ to 12. ℃, exhibiting excellent high temperature tolerance. These nickel complexes were also effectively employed in the copolymerization of ethylene with methyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, butyl acrylate and lauryl acrylate, producing copolymers with high molecular weights(Mw up to 80.5 k Da) and high polar monomer incorporation(up to 8.2.mol%). Microstructure analyses revealed that the introduction of large sterically hindered substituents facilitated the incorporation of polar functional units into the polymer backbone. This study demonstrates the potential of these nickel-based catalysts for efficient copolymerization of olefin with polar monomers.

Molecular mechanism for the unusual enhancement of the second-step chemiluminescence production from the carcinogenic tetrabromohydroquinone and H2._(2.

We have found recently that two-step intrinsic hydroxyl radical(·OH)-dependent chemiluminescence(CL)could be produced by carcinogenic tetrahaloquinone and H_(2.O_(2..However,the first-step CL was too fast to clearly detect the stepwise generation of·OH and CL,and to distinguish the exact dividing point between the first-step and second-step *** we found that,extremely clear two-step intrinsic CL could be produced by the relative slow reaction of tetrabromohydroquinone(TBHQ)with H_(2.O_(2.,which was directly dependent on the two-step·OH ***,the second-step,but not the first-step CL production of TBHQ/H_(2.O_(2.(CRET donor)was markedly enhanced by fluorescein(a typical xanthene dye,CRET acceptor)through a unique chemiluminescence resonance energy transfer(CRET)*** novel CRET system of TBHQ/H_(2.O_(2./fluorescein was successfully applied for the sensitive detection of TBHQ with the detection limit as low as 2.5μmol/*** findings will help to develop more sensitive and highly efficient CL or CRET systems and specific CL sensor to detect the carcinogenic haloquinones,which may have broad environmental applications.

In this paper,a novel superjunction 4H-silicon carbide(4H-SiC)trench-gate insulated-gate bipolar transistor(IGBT)featuring an integrated clamping PN diode between the P-shield and emitter(TSD-IGBT)is designed and theoretically *** heavily doping superjunction layer contributes to a low specific on-resistance,excellent electric field distribution,and quasi-unipolar drift *** anode of the clamping diode is in floating contact with the *** the on-state,the potential of the P-shield is raised to the turn-on voltage of the clamping diode,which prevents the hole extraction below the N-type carrier storage layer(NCSL).Additionally,during the turn-off transient,once the clamping diode is turned on,it also promotes an additional hole extraction ***,the potential dropped at the semiconductor near the trench-gate oxide is effectively reduced in the off-state.

Gut microbiota intervention attenuates thermogenesis in broilers exposed to high temperature through modulation of the hypothalamic 5‑HT pathway

A family of quantum von Neumann architecture

We develop universal quantum computing models that form a family of quantum von Neumann architectures,with modular units of memory,control,CPU,and internet,besides input and *** family contains three generations characterized by dynamical quantum resource theory,and it also circumvents no-go theorems on quantum programming and *** universality,such a family satisfies other desirable engineering requirements on system and algorithm design,such as modularity and programmability,hence serves as a unique approach to building universal quantum computers.

Trench gate GaN IGBT with controlled hole injection efficiency

In this paper,a novel trench gate gallium nitride(GaN)insulated gate bipolar transistor(GaN IGBT),in which the collector is divided into multiple regions to control the hole injection efficiency,is designed and theoretically *** incorporation of a P+/P-multi-region alternating structure in the collector region mitigates hole injection within the collector *** the device is in forward conduction,the conductivity modulation effect results in a reduced storage of carriers in the drift *** a result,the number of carriers requiring extraction during device turn-off is minimized,leading to a faster turn-off *** results illustrate that the GaN IGBT with controlled hole injection efficiency(CEH GaN IGBT)exhibits markedly enhanced performance compared to conventional GaN IGBT,showing a remarkable 42.2.reduction in turn-off time and a notable 2..5%decrease in turn-off loss.

Aluminum(Al)can lead to an exposure of creature in varieties ways for its universality,and it could disturb normal physiological metabolism,with the damage to multisystem including *** the oocyte quality is critical for female reproduction,we inspected the toxicity of Al on mouse oocyte *** constructed in vitro exposure mouse model,and we found that 5 mmol/L Al had adverse effects on oocyte maturation by impairing organelle and *** spindle and misaligned chromosomes which might be considered to be caused by elevated levels of acetylation,as well as abnormal distribution of actin dynamics could hinder normal meiosis of *** dysfunction indicated that Al affected proteins synthesis,transport and digestion,which would further damage oocyte *** order to explore the mechanism of Al toxicity,our further investigation demonstrated that Al caused mitochondrial dysfunction and imbalance calcium homeostasis,resulting in limited energy ***,high level of reactive oxygen species,DNA damage and apoptosis caused by oxidative stress were also the manifestation of Al toxicity on *** conclusion,our study provided the evidence that Al exposure affected oocyte quality through its effects on spindle organization,actin dynamics,organelle function and the induction of DNA damage-related apoptosis with mouse model.

In this big data era, the use of large dataset in conjunction with machine learning (ML) has been increasingly popular in both industry and academia. In recent times, the field of materials science is also undergoing a big data revolution, with large database and repositories appearing everywhere. Traditionally, materials science is a trial-and-error field, in both the computational and experimental departments. With the advent of machine learning-based techniques, there has been a paradigm shift: materials can now be screened quickly using ML models and even generated based on materials with similar properties;ML has also quietly infiltrated many sub-disciplinary under materials science. However, ML remains relatively new to the field and is expanding its wing quickly. There are a plethora of readily-available big data architectures and abundance of ML models and software;The call to integrate all these elements in a comprehensive research procedure is becoming an important direction of material science research. In this review, we attempt to provide an introduction and reference of ML to materials scientists, covering as much as possible the commonly used methods and applications, and discussing the future possibilities.
