摘      要:Agency,learners’ability to act on their own learning through actively utilizing the resources and affordances in the learning environment,is of paramount importance to their success in language learning,especially within the online learning environment in a world confronting *** paper illustrates the concept of agency from a sociocultural perspective,discusses factors that affect agency development in language learning,and proposes five teaching principles that promote learner agency for teachers designing language lessons online and offline.
