基 金:Yan Yu is now a full professor of material science at University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). She received her Ph.D. in material science at USTC in 2006. From 2007 to 2008 she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Florida International University. After that she received a Humboldt Research Fellowship and the Sofia Kovalevskaya award from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and worked at the max Planck Institute for Solid-State Research in Stuttgart Germany. Her current research interests mainly include the design of novel nanomaterials for clean energy especially for batteries and the fundamental science of energy-storage systems. She was selected as a Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Research in the field of Materials Science. She also received several awards and honors such as the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars The 16th China Youth Science and Technology Award Fellow of The Royal Society of Chemistry etc
摘 要:Female scientists are playing more and more important roles in science-related fields, although they just account for a minority(only 30%)of the scientific community worldwide, according to the 2020 data from the Institute for Statistics of *** fact, female researchers have been the mainstay in organizing and guiding the scientific research in many *** the growing impact of female scientists is of significance as role models to enlighten younger generations and particularly encourage young girls to dedicate in *** Special Issue of“Female scientists in nano researchpublishes such a collection that shares the research outcomes from those labs led by female scientists in nano-related research fields and showcases their high impacts on many aspects of nanomaterials and *** special issue collects 58 papers, including 16 reviews and 42 original research articles, which present the latest advances in area across diverse compelling topics in nano-science and technology, such as nanoscience for fluorescence and bioimaging, nanomaterials for energy, electronics and catalysis, sensing platforms based on nanoscience, nanobiotechnology and nanomedicine.
