Leader-Following Consensus of Multi-Agent systems via Adaptive Event-Based Control

In this paper, the adaptive event-based control approach is applied to study leader-following consensus of multi-agent systems with linear dynamic models. Adaptive event-based controller and triggering function for each agent are designed, where the adaptive function is only dependent on its own event time instants. A sufficient condition on consensus is proposed, which shows that the adaptive event-based method presented in this paper not only can reduce the communication among neighboring agents, but also can determine the event time instants for each agent without using the global information. Furthermore, the Zeno-behavior for the concerned closed-loop system is excluded. Finally, an example is presented to ilhistratc the effectiveness of the obtained theoretical results.

Most human pathogens originate from non-human hosts and certain pathogens persist in animal *** transmission of such pathogens to humans may lead to self-sustaining chains of *** pathogens represent the highest risk for future *** their prevention,the transmission over the species barrier—although rare—should,by all means,be *** the current COVID-19 pandemic,surprisingly though,most of the current research concentrates on the control by drugs and vaccines,while comparatively little scientific inquiry focuses on future *** in 2012,the World Bank recommended to engage in a systemic One health approach for zoonoses control,considering integrated surveillance-response and control of human and animal diseases for primarily economic *** examples,like integrated West Nile virus surveillance in mosquitos,wild birds,horses and humans in Italy show evidence of financial savings from a closer cooperation of human and animal health *** a zoonotic origin can be ascertained for the COVID-19 pandemic,integrated wildlife,domestic animal and humans disease surveillance-response may contribute to prevent future *** conclusion,the earlier a zoonotic pathogen can be detected in the environment,in wildlife or in domestic animals;and the better human,animal and environmental surveillance communicate with each other to prevent an outbreak,the lower are the cumulative costs.

In this paper,the continuous integral terminal sliding mode control problems for a class of uncertain nonlinear systems is *** of all,based on homogeneous system theory,a global finite-time control（FTC） law with simple structure is proposed for a chain of ***,inspired by the proposed FTC law,a novel integral terminal sliding mode surface is designed,based on which an integral terminal sliding mode control（ITSMC） law is constructed for a class of higher-order nonlinear systems subjected to ***,a finite-time disturbance observer based ITSMC law is proposed,strict theoretical analysis shows that the composite ITSMC approach can eliminate chattering completely without losing disturbance attenuation ability and performance robustness of ITSMC.A simulation example is given to illustrate the simplicity of the new design approach and effectiveness.

Background： The development of forestry as a scientific and management discipline over the last two centuries has mainly emphasized intensive management operations focused on increased commodity production, mostly wood. This conventionar＇ forest management approach has typically favored production of even-aged, single-species stands. While alternative management regimes have generally received less attention, this has been changing over the last three decades, especially in countries with developed economies. Reasons for this change include a combination of new information and concerns about the ecological consequences of intensive forestry practices and a willingness on the part of many forest owners and society to embrace a wider set of management objectives. Alternative silvicultural approaches are characterized by a set of fundamental principles, including avoidance of clearcutting, an emphasis on structural diversity and small-scale variability, deployment of mixed species with natural regeneration, and avoidance of intensive site-preparation methods. Methods： Our compilation of the authors＇ experiences and perspectives from various parts of the world aims to initiate a larger discussion concerning the constraints to and the potential of adopting alternative silvicultural practices. Results： The results suggest that a wider adoption of alternative silvicultural practices is currently hindered by a suite of ecological, economic, logistical, informational, cultural, and historical constraints. Individual contexts display their own unique combinations and relative significance of these constraints, and accordingly, targeted efforts, such as regulations and incentives, may help to overcome specific challenges. Conclusions： In a broader context, we propose that less emphases on strict applications of principles and on stand structures might provide additional flexibility and facilitate the adoption of alternative silvicultural regimes in a broader set of circumstanc
