h.drogen th.rapy sh.ws great promise as a versatile treatment meth.d for diseases associated with.th. overexpression of reactive oxygen and nitrogen species（RONS）. h.wever, developing an advanced h.drogen th.rapy platform th.t integrates controllable h.drogen release, efficient RONS elimination, and biodegradability remains a giant tech.ical ch.llenge. In th.s study, we demonstrate for th. first time th.t th. tungsten bronze ph.se h..53WO3（h.O） is an exceptionally ideal h.drogen carrier, with.salient features including temperature-dependent h.gh.y-reductive atomic h.drogen release and broad-spectrum RONS scavenging capability distinct from th.t of molecular h.drogen. Moreover, its unique p h.responsive biodegradability ensures post-th.rapeutic clearance at path.logical sites. Treatment with.h.O of diabetic wounds in an animal model indicates th.t th. solid-state atomic h.promotes vascular formation by activating M2-type macroph.ge polarization and anti-inflammatory cytokine production, resulting in acceleration of ch.onic wound h.aling. Our findings significantly expand th. basic categories of h.drogen th.rapeutic materials and pave th. way for investigating more ph.sical forms of h.drogen species as efficient RONS scavengers for clinical disease treatment.

Objective: To evaluate transperineal laser ablation (TPLA) with.Ech.laser® (Ech.laser® TPLA, Elesta S.p.A., Calenzano, Italy) as a treatment for benign prostatic h.perplasia (BPh. and prostate cancer (PCa) using th. Delph. consensus ***: Italian and international experts on BPh.and PCa participated in a collaborative consensus project. During two rounds, th.y expressed th.ir opinions on Ech.laser® TPLA for th. treatment of BPh.and PCa answering online questionnaires on indications, meth.dology, and potential complications of th.s tech.ology. Level of agreement or disagreement to reach.consensus was set at 75%. If th. consensus was not ach.eved, questions were modified after each.round. A final round was performed during an online meeting, in wh.ch.results were discussed and ***: Th.rty-two out of forty invited experts participated and consensus was reach.d on all topics. Agreement was ach.eved on recommending Ech.laser® TPLA as a treatment of BPh.in patients with.ample range of prostate volume, from 80 mL (80%), comorbidities (100%), antiplatelet or anticoagulant treatment (96%), indwelling cath.ter (77%), and strong will of preserving ejaculatory function (100%). Majority of respondents agreed th.t Ech.laser® TPLA is a potential option for th. treatment of localized PCa (78%) and recommended it for low-risk PCa (90%). During th. final round, experts concluded th.t it can be used for intermediate-risk PCa and it sh.uld be proposed as an effective alternative to radical prostatectomy for patients with.strong will of avoiding urinary incontinence and sexual dysfunction. Almost all participants agreed th.t th. transperineal approach.of th.s organ-sparing tech.ique is safer th.n transrectal and transureth.al approach.s typical of oth.r tech.iques (97% of agreement among experts). One of th. most common cancers worldwide, colorectal cancer (CRC) h.s been associated with.significant morbidity and mortality and th.refore represents an enormous burden to th. h.alth.care system. Recent advances in CRC treatments h.ve provided patients with.primary and metastatic CRC a better long-term prognosis. Th. presence of synch.onous or metach.onous metastasis h.s been associated, h.wever, with.worse survival. Th. most common site of metastatic disease is th. liver. A variety of treatment modalities aimed at targeting colorectal liver metastases (CRLM) h.s been demonstrated to improve th. prognosis of th.se patients. Loco-regional approach.s such.as surgical resection and tumor ablation (operative and percutaneous) can provide patients with.a ch.nce at long-term disease control and even cure in select populations. Patient selection is important in defining th. most suitable treatment option for CRLM in order to provide th. best possible survival benefit wh.le avoiding unnecessary interventions and adverse events. Medical imaging plays a crucial role in evaluating th. ch.racteristics of CRLMs and disease resectability. Size of tumors, proximity to adjacent anatomical structures, and volume of th. unaffected liver are among th. most important imaging parameters to determine th. suitability of patients for surgical management or oth.r appropriate treatment approach.s. We h.rein provide a compreh.nsive overview of current-state-of-th.-art imaging in th. management of CRLM, including staging, treatment planning, response and survival assessment, and post-treatment surveillance. Computed tomograph. (CT) scan and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are two most commonly used tech.iques, wh.ch.can be used solely or in combination with.functional imaging modalities such.as positron emission tomograph. Neonatal Intestinal Obstruction in Acute Renal Failure in Premature Infant: A Case Report

Introduction: Intestinal obstruction is a common cause of abdominal surgery in th. neonate. Diagnosis is straigh.forward using standard radiology, and surgical tech.ique depends on th. underlying anatomical lesion. Peritoneal dialysis (PD) is an effective, albeit invasive, th.rapy for neonatal renal failure. We report a case of neonatal obstruction with.severe renal failure treated by PD to h.gh.igh. our h.spital practice and possible remedies in a context of limited resources. Case Presentation: Th.s was a female neonate of moderate prematurity admitted on day 4 of life for management of a flat neonatal obstruction. radiological diagnosis suggested small bowel atresia. Biological tests revealed severe renal failure with.creatinine levels of 416 micromoles per liter and blood urea of 27.1 micromoles per liter. Management consisted of preoperative peritoneal dialysis for 48 h.urs followed by laparotomy. Th. intraoperative diagnosis was GROSFELD type IIIa digestive atresia. Th. postoperative course was favourable, transit was resumed on day 5 and th. patient returned h.me on day 12. Progress at 3 month. was satisfactory. Conclusion: Neonatal intestinal obstruction with.renal failure in premature infants is associated with.a poor prognosis, even more so if th.re is a delay in treatment. Peritoneal dialysis seems to be a suitable alternative for th.s management in our working conditions with.limited resources.

Aggressive treatment with.early endoscopic h.mostasis is essential for a favourable outcome. In as many as 12%-17% of patients,endoscopy is eith.r not available or unsuccessful. Endovascular th.rapy with.selective cath.terization of th. culprit vessel and injection of embolic material h.s emerged as an alternative to emergent operative intervention in h.gh.risk patients. Th.re h.s not been a systematic literature review to assess th. role for emboloth.rapy in th. treatment of acute upper gastrointestinal bleeding from gastroduo-denal ulcers after failed endoscopic h.mostasis. h.re,we present an overview of indications,tech.iques,and clinical outcomes after endovascular embolization of acute peptic-ulcer bleeding. Topics of particular relevance to tech.ical and clinical success are also discussed. Our review sh.ws th.t transcath.ter arterial embolization is a safe alternative to surgery for massive gastroduodenal bleeding th.t is refractory to endoscopic treatment,can be performed with.h.gh.tech.ical and clinical success rates,and sh.uld be considered th. salvage treatment of ch.ice in patients at h.gh.surgical risk.
