东北长春近一个世纪以来城市结构演化特征分析（英文）

Knowledge on urban land-use change and its driving forces has vital significance in the practice of urban planning and management. However, the characteristics of historical, long-term changes and their quantitative relationships with the urban environment are still poorly understood. Based on multi-source data, including remote sensing imageries, large-scale topographic maps, historical maps, multi-temporal city maps, and other urban thematic maps, high-quality spatial information on urban land use in the built-up area of Changchun has been extracted for 1898, 1932, 1954, 1976, 1990, 2002, and 2012 by means of geographic information systems and remote sensing. We found that the land-use structure and spatial configuration has undergone tremendous alterations according to urban function in the 100-year history of Changchun city. The built-up area of Changchun expanded from 2.26 km^2 in 1898 to 328.12 km^2 in 2012, increasing about 144 times over the past century. Historically, the development of Changchun can be categorized into three stages: the initial forming stage, the old industrial development stage, and the modern metropolis development stage. Commercial and industrial land expanded rapidly following the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949, with an increase from 1.74 km^2 in 1954 to 15.91 km^2 in 2012, and from 16.45 km^2 in 1954 to 107.05 km^2 in 2012, respectively. Although there was substantial growth in residential land use(from 1.81 km^2 in 1898 to 113.95 km^2 in 2012), the area percentage of residential land decreased continuously(from 80.09% in 1898 to 34.73% in 2012). Moreover, it was noted that the spatial configuration and structural percentage for commercial, industrial, and residential lands and others had tremendous divergences at different stages. In this paper, I analyze pictorial representations of the Buddhist story of Mulian rescuing his mother in China, Japan, and Korea in the pre-modern and early modern periods. I have collected several pictorial versions of the Mulian story in these countries, and comparison shows close proximity of several such works. All of them are related to the narrative texts that represent elaboration of the originally scriptural story (it originated in the apocryphal Buddhist scripture that circulated in China) in vernacular languages. Images of the Mulian story in the countries of East Asia had diverse nature: they could appear as separate scenes in devotional religious paintings, multi-scene handscrolls, and illustrations in the manuscripts and editions. I argue that the subject of Mulian rescuing his mother was of primary importance in the popularization of Buddhist ideas among different layers of society. The related images were used for both storytelling and reading practices and helped different audiences to comprehend the Mulian story.

Highly Effective Delamination of Kaolinite and Emergence of a Novel Nanoclub-like Crystal

The delamination of kaolinite was performed via the combination of intercalation and sonication. The morphology including shape, size, and crystal structure before and after the treatment were investigated by using XRD, SEM, TEM and SED （selective electron diffraction）. The results not only show that the particle size is significantly reduced after short time sonication treatment, such as BET area up to 52.29 m^2/g after only 1 h sonication treatment, but also indicate that the treated particles keep good crystal structure. A new aluminum silicate nanoclub-like crystal formed after sonication treatment.

Diabetes is the most prevalent and serious metabolic disease, and the number of diabetic patients worldwide is increasing. The reduction of insulin biosynthes is in pancreatic E-cells is closely associated with the onset and progression of diabetes, therefore, it is important to search for ways to induce insulin-producing cells in non-E-cells. In the present study, it has been reported that activin A and a basic fibroblast growth factor 2 （ FGF2）, can synergistically increase the insulin mRNA level, in both mouse El4 striatal primary cell cultures and the hippocampal neuronal cell line HT22. Activin A and FGF2 can jointly stimulate the nuclear translocation of Smad3 and specifically activate ERK1/2. It is interesting to note that a specific inhibitor for MEK, U0126, can efficiently block the induction of an insulin promoter activity by activin A and FGF2. This indicates that activin A collaborates with FGF2, giving a signal to induce the insulin gene through selective activation of the ERK-type MAP kinase and Smad3 in mouse striatal and HT22 cells. These data suggest that activin A may act in concert with FGF2 for the development of insulin -positive neurons

Post-processing correction is an effective way to improve the model forecasting result. Especially, the machine learning methods have played increasingly important roles in recent years. Taking the meteorological observational data in a period of two years as the reference, the maximum and minimum temperature predictions of Shenyang station from the European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) and national intelligent grid forecasts are objectively corrected by using wavelet analysis, sliding training and other technologies. The evaluation results show that the sliding training time window of the maximum temperature is smaller than that of the minimum temperature, and their difference is the largest in August, with a difference of 2.6 days. The objective correction product of maximum temperature shows a good performance in spring, while that of minimum temperature performs well throughout the whole year, with an accuracy improvement of 97% to 186%. The correction effect in the central plains is better than in the regions with complex terrain. As for the national intelligent grid forecasts, the objective correction products have shown positive skills in predicting the maximum temperatures in spring (the skill-score reaches 0.59) and in predicting the minimum temperature at most times of the year (the skill-score reaches 0.68).

Consisting of subtropical highs and tropical buffer zone, the global tropical subsidence region is the subsidence branches of Hadley cell. Walker circulation and monsoon circulation which are important components of the global general circulation. This region is closely connected with asian monsoon. Nutritional characteristics determine tree stock quality to a considerable extent. Exponential fertilization can induce nutrient reserves within juvenile trees, but its validity on poplar is contingent on interaction with a scientific irrigation regime due to limited water resources under global warming. In the present study, we raised 3200 Populus 9 euramericana cv. ＇74/76＇ cuttings under four irrigation regimes of 0（I0）, 60 %（I60）, 80 %（I80）, and100 %（I100） of field capacity for soil moisture content with or without（control） the employment of nitrogen（N） addition delivered as exponential fertilization at the rate of 8 g N cutting^（-1）（E8） in an open-air nursery in Beijing, China. Both height and diameter increased with the increment of soil moisture ratio or in response to exponential fertilization（EF） without any interactive effects. In general, concentrations of N, phosphorus（P）,and potassium（K） declined with time in stem but foliar N concentration did not change. Under the I100 regime, EF increased foliar N concentration relative to the control but failed to affect N concentration in stem in September, when both N concentration and N content were increased by EF under the I80 regime. Stem-K content and concentration by EF under the I80 regime also increased in September,therefore EF-treated cuttings had a higher ratio of K content in stem to that in whole plant（%ANAR）. Vector diagnosis for nutritional status indicated that EF resulted in dilution of K concentration but induced a steady-state P uptake in leaves under all irrigation regimes. Therefore, EF of N addition could promote N uptake to leaves of P. 9 euramericana cv. ＇74/76＇ cuttings, but it had a null effect on N and P reserves in stem and impaired K *** conclusion, the irrigation regime of 80 % field capacity of soil moisture content was suggested for the culture of juvenile P. 9 euramericana cv. ＇74/76＇ cuttings. If poetics refers broadly to the principles by which things are made, how is the kind of process that yields poetry （in the narrow sense） related to other kinds of making？ This essay explores promising resonances between traditional poetics and new paradigms coming out of complexity and systems theory. Of particular interest is Terrence Deacon＇s Incomplete Nature, an account of the relationships among layers of emergent order in the universe, under the heading of a general theory of dynamics. In particular, this essay understands poetry in relation to other kinds of making through three principles Deacon identifies as crucial： constraint, emergence, and absence. These principles tend to validate rather than to undermine traditional accounts of poetic making as inspiration, often involving entification in the form of attribution of creative agency to entities such as muses or to the text itself.
