Objective To analyze the clinical characteristics and outcomes of patientswith invasive fungal sinusitis(invasive fungal rhinosinusitis,IFR)after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(allo-HSCT)and explored the risk factors for IFR after *** Nineteen patients with IFR after allo-HSCT at Peking University People's Hospital from January 2012 to December 2021 were selected as the study group,and 95 patients without IFR after allo-HSCT during this period were randomly selected as the control group(1:5 ratio).Results Nineteen patients,including 10 males and 9 females,had IFR after *** median age was 36(10-59)*** median IFR onset time was 68(9-880)days after *** wereseven patients with acute myeloid leukemia,five with acute lymphoblastic leukemia,two with myelodysplastic syndrome,two with chronic myeloid leukemia,one with acute mixed-cell leukemia,one with multiple myeloma,and one with T-lymphoblastic lymph node *** were 13 confirmed cases and 6 clinically diagnosed *** responsible fungus was Mucor in two cases,Rhizopus in four,Aspergillus in four,and Candida in three.

Severe aplastic anemia II(SAA-II)progresses from non-severe aplastic anemia(NSAA).The unavailability of efficacious treatment has prompted the need for haploidentical bone marrow transplantation(haplo-BMT)in patients lacking a human leukocyte antigen(HLA)-matched *** study aimed to investigate the efficacy of haplo-BMT for patients with ***-two patients were included and followed up,and FLU/BU/CY/ATG was used as conditioning *** these patients,21 were successfully engrafted,19 of whom survived after *** patients experienced grade II–IV aGvHD,including two with grade III–IV *** patients experienced chronic GvHD,among whom four were mild and two were *** patients experienced infections during *** was diagnosed with post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorder and one with probable EBV disease,and both recovered after rituximab ***-BMT achieved 3-year overall survival and disease-free survival rate of 86.4%±0.73%after a median follow-up of 42 months,indicating its effectiveness as a salvage *** promising outcomes may support haplo-BMT as an alternative treatment strategy for patients with SAA-II lacking HLA-matched donors.

High-dose chemotherapy(HDCT)with autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation has been explored and has played an important role in the management of patients with high-risk germ cell tumors(GCTs)who failed to be cured by conventional *** stem cells(HSCs)collected from the peripheral blood,after appropriate pharmacologic mobilization,have largely replaced bone marrow as the principal source of HSCs in *** it is currently common practice to perform tandem or multiple sequential cycles of HDCT,it is anticipated that collection of large numbers of HSCs from the peripheral blood is a prerequisite for the success of the ***,the CD34+cell dose/kg of body weight infused after HDCT has proven to be a major determinant of hematopoietic engraftment,with patients who receive>2×106 CD34+cells/kg having consistent,rapid,and sustained hematopoietic ***,many patients with relapsed/refractory GCTs have been exposed to multiple cycles of myelosuppressive chemotherapy,which compromises the efficacy of HSC mobilization with granulocyte colony-stimulating factor with or without ***,alternative strategies that use novel agents in combination with traditional mobilizing regimens are ***,after an overview of the mechanisms of HSCs mobilization,we review the existing literature regarding studies reporting various HSC mobilization approaches in patients with relapsed/refractory GCTs,and finally report newer experimental mobilization strategies employing novel agents that have been applied in other hematologic or solid malignancies.

Background Over the last two decades,umbilical cord blood(UCB)and haploidentical transplantation(HaploHSCT)have emerged as alternative sources of hematopoietic stem cell for allogeneic *** are few retrospective studies and no prospective studies comparing both types of alternative transplantation in pediatric *** We analyzed the data of 134 children with hematological malignancies who received a hematopoietic stem cell transplantation from a single umbilical cord blood(UCB)(n=42)or an"tex-vivo"T-cell depleted transplant from a haploi-dentical-related donor(HaploHSCT)(n=92)between 1996 and *** recovery was faster after HaploHSCT than the UCB transplant group(median times to neutrophil and platelet recovery:13 vs.16 days,10 vs.57 days,respectively)(Pcells compared with the UCB ***,after the first year *** had a lower number of CD4+ T and B lymphocytes compared with the UCB transplant *** cumulative incidence of TRM was 29±8%in the HaploHSCT group versus 40±5%in the UCB *** incidence was 21±7%in the HaploHSCT group and 19±8%in the UCB *** of DFS was 58±8%in the HaploHSCT group versus 40±9%in the UCB group(P=0.051).Conclusions TCD haploidentical transplant is associated with advantages in terms of engraftment and early immune reconstitution *** haploidentical transplant was associated with lower incidence of infectious and non-infectious complications,especially in the early phases of the transplant compared with UCB transplant ***,there are no advantages in transplant outcomes compared with UCB transplant.

In 1988, Gluckman performed the first cord blood transplant for a 5 year old boy with Fanconi anemia using a cord blood unit from the patient＇s unaffected sister,l Patient remains alive and disease free for 24 years. Since then, extensive researches have established the safety and efficacy of umbilical cord blood transplantation （CBT） in both children and adults with a variety of malignant and non-malignant diseases. As of 2011, more than 25 000 CBTs have been performed. Background: Acute graft-versus-host disease (aGVHD) is the most frequent and severe complication after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). Objective: To determine if a history of prior infection in the allogeneic HSTC recipient is a risk factor to develop aGVHD. Methods: A retrospective cohort study based on data collected from the Department of hematopoietic Stem cell transplantation at the Instituto Nacional de Pediatría (INP) from January 1998 to December 2016 was performed to identify if prior infection was a predictive risk factor for aGVHD. Results: 27 patients developed aGVHD (36.4%). Median time to aGVHD presentation was 82 days (9 to 273 days). Most patients developed grade III aGVHD. Following the multivariate analysis peripheral blood > bone marrow (OR 12.3;p cell dose > 8.3 × 106/kg (OR 7.1;p = 0.05), peripheral blood (OR: 11.4;p transplant (OR: 4.5;p < 0.03) and CMV infection in the recipient (OR: 4.68;p Conclusions: Either bacterial infection or CMV infection in the recipient was significant risk factor within the aGVHD recipients;it is important to consider these factors for patients that are going to receive an allogeneic HSCT.
