Mercury ion(Hg^(2+)),as one of the most toxic heavy metal ions,accumulates easily in the environment,which can generate potential hazards to the ecosystem and human *** effectively detect and remove Hg^(2+),we fabricated four types of carbon dots(CDs)using carboxymethyl nanocellulose as a carbon source doped with different elements using a hydrothermal *** the CDs exhibited a strong fluorescence emission,excitation-dependent emission and possessed good water ***,the four fluorescent CDs were used for Hg^(2+)recognition in aqueous solution,where the CDs-N exhibited better sensitivity and selectivity for Hg^(2+)detection,with a low limit of detection of 8.29×10^(-6)mol/*** was determined that the fluorescence quenching could be ascribed to a photoinduced charge-transfer processes between Hg^(2+)and the *** addition,the CDs-N were used as a smart invisible ink for anticounterfeiting,information encryption and ***,the CDs-N were immersed into a cellulose(CMC)-based hydrogel network to prepare fluorescent hydrogels capable of simultaneously detecting and adsorbing Hg^(2+).We anticipate that this research will open possibilities for a green method to synthesize fluorescent CDs for metal ion detection and fluorescent ink production.

background To control the boll weevil Anthonomus grandis grandis(Coleoptera:Curculionidae),a key pest of cotton in the Americas,insecticides have been intensively used to manage their populations,increasing selection pressure for resistant ***,this study aimed to detect insecticide resistance and assess insecticide control failure likelihood of boll weevil populations exposed to malathion,profenophos+cypermethrin,and fipronil *** Twelve populations of the boll weevil were collected from commercial cotton fileds of the state of bahia,northeastern *** populations were exposed to malathion,profenophos+cypermethrin mixture,and fipronil,at their respective maximum label dose for field *** replicates of 10 adult beetles were exposed to the insecticides and mortality was recorded after 24 h *** control failure likelihood was determined after 48 *** median lethal times(LT_(50))were observed for malathion and the profenophos+cypermethrin *** to at least one insecticide was detected in 11 populations;three populations were resistant to malathion and profenophos+cypermethrin;seven were resistant to all insecticides *** resistance levels were low(<10-fold)for the three *** 12 populations tested,58%of them exhibited significant risk of control failure for the insecticides malathion and profenophos+*** insecticide fipronil was efficient for the control of the boll weevil in 83%of the *** The results confirm the significant risk of insecticide control failure in the boll weevil populations to the main compounds used in the ***,proper insecticide resistance management plans are necessary for the boll weevil in the region,particularly for malathion and profenophos+cypermethrin insecticides.

面对“双高”电力系统的高维度、高随机性和强非线性,现有的建模和稳定性分析方法受限于维度、难以求解且准确度低。针对此问题,该文提出一个面向“双高”电力系统,包含非线性降阶建模和估计吸引域优化计算的稳定性分析框架。首先,考虑分布式光伏和恒功率负载的地理环境因素,应用Pioncáre规范理论,将并网型直流微电网的二次状态偏差模型依次进行分块降维、解耦和降阶变换,建立一阶二次微分方程形式的非线性降阶模型。然后,基于李雅普诺夫稳定判据,结合构造含辅助变量的最优化模型思想,并利用克罗内克积性质,提出估计吸引域的优化计算方法,构建优化的估计吸引域(optimalestimatedregionofattraction,OEROA)。最后,以分布式光伏云层遮蔽和恒功率负载扰动下的微电网系统作为算例,与基于LaSalle定理的李雅普诺夫法、Takagi-Sugeno(T-S)模糊模型法对比,验证所提方法构建的估计吸引域具有更低的保守性,以及所提分析框架的有效性。

交叉互联高压电缆系统中的分布式护层电流检测对于护层接地故障诊断至关重要。为解决地下高压电缆不依赖外部时标的分布式护层电流传感时间同步问题,该文基于交叉互联高压电缆护层间的耦合关系,采用并联Smith预估补偿器提升时滞补偿效率,获取残差最小的时间偏置补偿时滞量,提出多护层电流传感器时滞误差的递归最小二乘跟踪方法,以电容电流短时不变为稳定判据,对实际测量时分布式护层电流传感器之间的时延进行估计和控制。该方法在220 kV高铁牵引变压器一次侧高压电缆分布式护层电流传感系统上进行了试验验证,验证结果表明,该方法收敛至最小残差值点,平均残差为0.30 A,准确时滞量为3.93 s,能实现分布式护层电流传感的时间同步。

The corrosion properties of four Mg-5Al alloys with M-alloying elements(tin,manganese and zinc)in a 3.5 wt.%NaCl solution were examined using electrochemical tests and surface *** electrochemical results indicated that the addition of 1 wt.%M metal decreased the corrosion rate and hydrogen evolution rate of the Mg-5Al ***,the addition of 1Zn resulted in having the best corrosion resistance due to the interaction of Zn oxide with Mg and Al oxides which acted as a corrosion barrier.

Brazilian city beaches are public spaces favoring citizens *** studies relate built form and infrastructure with urban vitality and coastal studies underline uses as important for beach management,yet few researches relate form and infrastructure with beach *** daily life as essential for public spaces and that spatial form relates with uses,this paper assesses time-based relationships between built and natural physical attributes and social life on the beaches of João Pessoa,a coastal city in North-east *** attributes are investigated at city scale-beach type,street network centrality and topography-and seafront scale-land uses,public/private interfaces,public infrastructure,beach sections and water *** social life was surveyed online,enquiring peoples’beach choice,visiting time and place,activities and *** and street network follow topography and help configure shore and promenade for different *** central beaches have diverse land uses,well-equipped promenades and lighting and were popular night and day,while less central beaches had less infrastructure and were visited only by *** highlight how physical attributes facilitate uses and,together with peoples’evaluation,can inform urban beach design and planning.

Amphibians and Reptiles of Luzon Island, Philippines: the Herpetofauna of Pantabangan-Carranglan Watershed, Nueva Ecija Province, Caraballo Mountain Range

We present detailed species accounts for fifty-nine(59) species of amphibians and reptiles(17 frogs, 14 skinks, 3 agamids, 6 gekkonid lizards, 2 varanids, and 17 snakes) from Pantabangan-Carranglan Watershed, which lies within the Caraballo Mountain Range, whose biota is poorly-known. This was also the first extensive survey of herpetofauna within the watershed. Together with data from previous literature reviews, our records bring the total number of species of amphibians and reptiles for the Caraballo Mountain Range to 66. Forty-two(42) species from the area were Philippine endemics, with 25 species recorded only from Luzon faunal region. Seven species of herpetofauna are associated with unresolved taxonomic issues(new species and species complexes needing taxonomic partitioning, e.g. splitting of species groups). Two species recorded from the area were rarely represented in museum collections. Major distributional and elevational range extensions were recorded for several species. Comparison with Luzon’s other mountain ranges showed that the Caraballo Mountain Range is similar, in terms of species composition, to the northern Sierra Madre and Cordillera Mountain Ranges. The result of this survey showed the Caraballo Mountain Range and its mountains as a possible new center of herpetofaunal diversity and endemicity within Luzon. The importance of the Caraballo Mountain Range as an important biogeographic link merits further study.

Global and Regional Surface Nitrogen balances in Intensive Agricultural Production Systems for the Period 1970-2030

Global nitrogen (N) budgets for intensive agricultural systems were compiled for a 0.5 by 0.5 degree resolution. These budgets include N inputs (N fertilizer, animal manure, biological N fixation and atmospheric N deposition) and outputs (N removal from the field in harvested crops and grass and grass consumption by grazing animals, ammonia volatilization,denitrification and leaching). Data for the historical years 1970 and 1995 and a projection for 2030 were used to study changes in the recovery of N and the different loss terms for intensive agricultural systems. The results indicate that the overall system N recovery and fertilizer use efficiency slowly increased in the industrialized countries between 1970 and 1995, the values for developing countries have decreased in the same period. For the coming three decades our results indicate a rapid increase in both the industrialized and developing countries. High values of ＞ 80% for fertilizer use efficiency may be related to surface N balance deficits, implying a depletion of soil N and loss of soil fertility. The projected intensification in most developing countries will cause a gradual shift from deficits to surpluses in the coming *** projected fast growth of crop and livestock production, and intensification and associated increase in fertilizer inputs will cause a major increase in the surface N balance surplus in the coming three decades. This implies increasing losses of N compounds to air (ammonia, nitrous oxide and nitric oxide), and groundwater and surface water (nitrate).

Goat whey is an industry-discarded dairy by-product that has interesting nutritional value and a nutrient composition with important functional potential,where proteins have a high biological value and play an important role in the organism’s ***,the aim of this study was to identify,quantify,concentrate and investigate the capacity of goat whey proteins to perform different biological activities and to evaluate their acute *** proteins were quantified and identified by Bradford,Kjehdal and SDS-PAGE *** activity was performed against Listeria monocytogenes,Salmonella spp.,Staphylococcus aureus,Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli microorganisms and showed MIC ranging from 15 to 120μg mL-1,with the highest inhibition for *** *** activity was performed against human malignant melanoma cells and their proliferation inhibition was up to 66.8%within 72 h of *** highest antioxidant capacity was obtained at concentration 2 mg that showed 29.69%of inhibition of DPPH radical *** acute toxicity test was performed using Artemia franciscana larvae in which whey proteins were able to preserve larval survival throughout ***,we can conclude that goat’s whey has proteins that can play a positive effect on health,with antimicrobial activity and without *** present study highlights the great potential of goat’s whey to be developed as a safe biopreservative or as a functional ingredient in the food industry.
