Hard carbon (HC) has been considered as promising anode material for sodium-ion batteries (SIBs).The optimization of hard carbon’s microstructure and solid electrolyte interface (SEI) property are demonstrated effective in enhancing the Na+storage capability,however,a one-step regulation strategy to achieve simultaneous multi-scale structures optimization is highly ***,we have systematically investigated the effects of boron doping on hard carbon’s microstructure and interface chemistry.A variety of structure characterizations show that appropriate amount of boron doping can increase the size of closed pores via rearrangement of carbon layers with improved graphitization degree,which provides more Na+storage ***-situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy/electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (FTIR/EIS) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analysis demonstrate the presence of more BC3and less B–C–O structures that result in enhanced ion diffusion kinetics and the formation of inorganic rich and robust SEI,which leads to facilitated charge transfer and excellent rate *** a result,the hard carbon anode with optimized boron doping content exhibits enhanced rate and cycling *** general,this work unravels the critical role of boron doping in optimizing the pore structure,interface chemistry and diffusion kinetics of hard carbon,which enables rational design of sodium-ion battery anode with enhanced Na+storage performance.

The mechanical behavior of cemented gangue backfill materials(CGBMs)is closely related to particle size distribution(PSD)of aggregates and properties of cementitious ***,the true triaxial compression tests,CT scanning,SEM,and EDS tests were conducted on cemented gangue backfill samples(CGBSs)with various carbon nanotube concentrations(P_(CNT))that satisfied fractal theory for the PSD of *** mechanical properties,energy dissipations,and failure mechanisms of the CGBSs under true triaxial compression were systematically *** results indicate that appropriate carbon nanotubes(CNTs)effectively enhance the mechanical properties and energy dissipations of CGBSs through micropore filling and microcrack bridging,and the optimal effect appears at P_(CNT)of 0.08wt%.Taking PSD fractal dimension(D)of 2.500 as an example,compared to that of CGBS without CNT,the peak strength(σ_(p)),axial peak strain(ε_(1,p)),elastic strain energy(Ue),and dissipated energy(U_(d))increased by 12.76%,29.60%,19.05%,and90.39%,***,excessive CNTs can reduce the mechanical properties of CGBSs due to CNT agglomeration,manifesting a decrease inρ_(p),ε_(1,p),and the volumetric strain increment(Δε_(v))when P_(CNT)increases from 0.08wt%to 0.12wt%.Moreover,the addition of CNTs improved the integrity of CGBS after macroscopic failure,and crack extension in CGBSs appeared in two modes:detour and pass through the ***σ_(p)and U_(d)firstly increase and then decrease with increasing D,and porosity shows the opposite ***ε_(1,p)andΔε_(v)are negatively correlated with D,and CGBS with D=2.150 has the maximum deformation parameters(ε_(1,p)=0.05079,Δε_(v)=0.01990)due to the frictional slip effect caused by coarse *** increasing D,the failure modes of CGBSs are sequentially manifested as oblique shear failure,"Y-shaped"shear failure,and conjugate shear failure.

The pressure nitric acid leaching of alkali-pre- treated low-grade limonitic laterite, as well as removing impurity AI（III） and preparing intermediate product of nickel/cobalt sulphide from leaching liquor were investi- gated. after pretreatment, iron exists in the form of amorphous iron oxides, while nickel is adsorbed on the surface of iron oxides in the form of nickel oxide. The preferable pressure leaching conditions are determined as follows： leaching temperature of 458 K, leaching duration of 60 min, initial acidity of nitric acid of 1.90 mol.L-~ and liquid to solid ratio of 3：1 （volume to mass ratio）. Under these conditions, the leaching efficiencies of Ni, Co and A1 are 95 %, 88 % and 55 %, respectively, and that of Fe is less than 1%. The loss rates of Ni and Co are 1.8 % and 1.5 %, respectively, during the step of removing impurity AI（III）. The sulphide precipitation process produces the interim production of nickel/cobalt sulphides, recovering greater than 99 % of Ni and Co in the purified solution. The iron-rich （〉60 %） pressure leaching residue with low Cr, S can be further reclaimed as the raw materials for iron making.

Copper and cadmium ions were selectively separated from zinc sulphate aqueous solution or zinc ammonia/ammonium sulphate aqueous solution by low current density *** was shown that the concentration of cadmium ion in zinc sulphate solution decreased from 4.56 g/L to 0.18 g/L in an electrolysis time of 8.5 h,whilst it decreased from 5.16 g/L to lower than 0.005 g/L in zinc ammonia/ammonium sulphate aqueous *** the other hand,the deposition rate of copper was so low that it was difficult to separate copper and cadmium ions from the zinc ammonia/ammonium sulphate aqueous solution during *** copper ion could be decreased to 0.002 g/L in this solution through solvent extraction by using kerosene diluted LIX984N as ***,it is favorable to recover cadmium ion from the zinc ammonia/ammonium sulphate solution by electrolysis after solvent extraction of copper.

The ocean poly-metallic nodule was leached by using slurry electrolysis process in HCl-NaCl *** leaching rates of Mn,Co,Cu and Ni in the ocean poly-metallic nodule are all above 97%.Meanwhile,the high purity of electrolytic MnO2 is also obtained as an anode *** effects of electrolysis electric quantity,acidity,temperature,slurry density,grain size and iron ions concentration were *** results show that the ocean poly-metallic nodule can be treated economically in the slurry electrolysis process.

The results of experimental investigation of n-type semiconductor based on Bi2Te3 alloy were presented. This material is used in manufacture of thermoelectric coolers and electrical power generation devices. BizTe2.88Se0.12 solid solution single crystal has been grown using the Czochralski method. Monitoring of structure changes of the sample was carried out by electron microscope. The elemental composition of the studied alloy was obtained by energy dispersive spectrometry （EDS） analysis and empirical formula of the compound was established. X-ray diffraction analysis confirmed that the Bi2Te2.88Se0.12 sample was a single phase with rhombohedral structure. The behavior upon heating was studied using differential thermal analysis （DTA） technique. Changes in physical and chemical properties of materials were measured as a function of increasing temperature by thermogravimetric analysis （TGA）. The lattice parameters values obtained by X-ray powder diffraction analyses of Bi2Te2.88Se0.12 are very similar to BizTe3 lattice constants, indicating that a small portion of tellurium is replaced with selenium. The obtained values for specific electrical and thermal conductivities are in correlation with available literature data. The Vickers microhardness values are in range between HV 187 and HV 39.02 and decrease with load increasing. It is shown that very complex process of infrared thermography can be applied for characterization of thermoelectric elements and modules.

According to the recently developed single-trough floating machine with the world's largest volume(inflatable mechanical agitation flotation machine with volume of 320 m3) in China, the gas-fluid two-phase flow in flotation cell was simulated using computational fluid dynamics method. It is shown that hexahedral mesh scheme is more suitable for the complex structure of the flotation cell than tetrahedral mesh scheme, and a mesh quality ranging from 0.7 to 1.0 is obtained. Comparative studies of the standard k-ε, k-ω and realizable k-ε turbulence models were carried out. It is indicated that the standard k-ε turbulence model could give a result relatively close to the practice and the liquid phase flow field is well characterized. In addition, two obvious recirculation zones are formed in the mixing zones, and the pressure on the rotor and stator is well characterized. Furthermore, the simulation results using improved standard k-ε turbulence model show that surface tension coefficient of 0.072, drag model of Grace and coefficient of 4, and lift coefficient of 0.001 can be achieved. The research results suggest that gas-fluid two-phase flow in large flotation cell can be well simulated using computational fluid dynamics method.
