Here,we designed asymmetric(m DS)and symmetrical(d DS)chiral V-shaped molecules by linking one or two dansyl groups to trans-1,2-cyclohexane diamine and investigated the solvent-regulated structural transformation and inversed circularly polarized luminescence(CPL)in the *** increasing water volume fraction(fw)in the mixed solvent of water/acetonitrile,asymmetric mDS selfassembled into hollow nanospheres and microtubes,while solid nanospheres and solid microplates were corresponding to symmetric d *** this transformation process,the emission of m DS and d DS was changed from yellow-green to blue and cyan color,which was ascribed to twisted intramolecular charge transfer(TICT)and locally excited(LE)fluorescence of V-shaped DS *** conformation of N,Ndimethyl groups with respect to naphthalene ring also led to the transformation of *** tubular and platelike structures had stronger and reversed CPL signals in comparison with spheroidal *** chiral information of DS assembly could be effective transferred to achiral Nile red via co-assembly strategy,which endowed Nile red exhibiting inversed induced CPL signal regulated by water *** work provides a method for achieving a variety of self-assembled structures with adjustable chiroptical properties.

Constructing Al@C-Sn pellet anode without passivation layer for lithium-ion battery

Al is considered as a promising lithium-ion battery(LIBs)anode materials owing to its high theoretical capacity and appropri-ate lithation/de-lithation ***,its inevitable volume expansion causes the electrode structure instability,leading to poor cyclic ***’s worse,the natural Al2O3 layer on commercial Al pellets is always existed as a robust insulating barrier for elec-trons,which brings the voltage dip and results in low reversible ***,this work synthesized core-shell Al@C-Sn pellets for LIBs by a plus-minus *** this proposal,the natural Al2O3 passivation layer is eliminated when annealing the pre-introduced SnCl2,meanwhile,polydopamine-derived carbon is introduced as dual functional shell to liberate the fresh Al core from re-oxidization and alle-viate the volume *** from the addition of C-Sn shell and the elimination of the Al2O3 passivation layer,the as-prepared Al@C-Sn pellet electrode exhibits little voltage dip and delivers a reversible capacity of 1018.7 mAh·g^(-1) at 0.1 A·g^(-1) and 295.0 mAh·g^(-1) at 2.0 A·g^(-1)(after 1000 cycles),***,its diffusion-controlled capacity is muchly improved compared to those of its counterparts,confirming the well-designed nanostructure contributes to the rapid Li-ion diffusion and further enhances the lithium storage activity.

Developing bimetallic catalysts is an effective strategy for enhancing the activity and selectivity of electrochemical CO_(2) reduction reactions,where understanding the structure-activity relationship is essential for catalyst ***,we prepared two Cu-Ag bimetallic catalysts with Ag nanoparticles attached to the top or the bottom of Cu *** tested in a flow cell,the Cu-Ag catalyst with Ag nanoparticles on the bottom achieved a faradaic efficiency of 54%for ethylene production,much higher than the catalyst with Ag nanoparticles on the *** catalysts were further studied in the H-cell and zero-gap MEA *** was found that placing the two metals in the intensified reaction zone is crucial to triggering the tandem reaction of bimetallic *** work elucidates the structure-activity relationship of bimetallic catalysts for CO_(2) reduction and demonstrates the importance of considering both catalyst structures and cell characteristics to achieve high activity and selectivity.

Twelve novel transition-rare-earth metal clusters,formulated as [Ni18Pr14（μ3OH）14（dmpa）10（mmt）10（SO4）4（CH3COO）16]·9CH3OH·5H2O（1,H3dmpa=dimethylolpropionic acid,and Hmmt=2-me rcapto-5-methyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole） [Ni36RE102（OH）138（mmt）18（Hdmpa）30（H2dmpa）12（CH3COO）72（NO3）36（SO4）18（H2O）30]·Br6(RE=Nd（2）,Sm（3）,Eu（4） and Gd（5）)[Ni12RE10（μ3-OH）10（dmpa）8（mmt）8(S（4）2（CH3COO）8（H2O）4]·8CH3OH·7H2O(RE = Tb（6）,Dy（7）,Ho（8）,Er（9） and Y（10）) [Ni8Pr8（μ3-OH）8（mmt）8（Hdpga）16（CH3COO）8]·8CH3OH（11,H2dpga=diphe nyl-glycolic acid）,and [Ni16Tb6（μ3-OH）24（mmt）8（Hdpga）4（dpga）4（CH3COO）2（NO3）4（H2O）2]·12CH3OH·5H2O（12）,were synthesized solvothermally by using different ligand combinations and rare earth nitrates.X-ray crystal structure analyses reveal that complexes 1 and 12 possess sandwich-like *** 2-5 are isostructural and feature a hexagonal structure,shaped like a "Star of David".Isostructural 6-10 present ring-like structure,as well as the cluster *** structural variations of these complexes can be attributed to the effect of lanthanide ***,the template effect of SO42-anion derived from the slow decomposition of Hmmt ligand also plays a significant role in the formation of cluster *** insitu mechanism for the generation of sulfate anion is briefly ***,the magnetic properties of complexes 2-11 were studied which show typical antiferromagnetic interactions.

Layered composite oxide materials with O3/P2 biphasic crystallographic structure typically demonstrate a combination of high capacities of the O3 phase and high operation voltages of the P2 ***,their practical applications are seriously obstructed by difficulties in thermodynamic phase regulation,complicated electrochemical phase transition,and unsatisfactory cycling ***,we propose an efficient structural evolution strategy from biphase to monophase of Na_(0.766+x)Li_(x)Ni_(0.33-x)Mn_(0.5)Fe_(0.1)Ti_(0.07)O_(2) through Li+*** role of Li+substitution not only simplifies the unfavorable phase transition by altering the local coordination of transition metal(TM)cations but also stabilizes the cathode–electrolyte interphase to prevent the degradation of TM cations during battery *** a result,the thermodynamically robust O_(3)-Na_(0.826)Li_(0.06)Ni_(0.27)Mn_(0.5)Fe_(0.1)Ti_(0.07)O_(2) cathode delivers a high capacity of 139.4 mAh g^(-1) at 0.1 C and shows prolonged cycling life at high rates,with capacity retention of 81.6%at 5 C over 500 *** work establishes a solid relationship between the thermodynamic structure evolution and electrochemistry of layered cathode materials,contributing to the development of long-life sodium-ion batteries.

Protein Disulfide Isomerase and Its Potential Function on Endoplasmic Reticulum Quality Control in Diatom Phaeodactylum tricornutum

PDI is a molecular chaperone and plays an important role in Endoplasmic Reticulum quality control (ERQC).PDI participates in the refolding of the misfolded/unfolded proteins to maintain cellular homeostasis under differentstresses. However, bioinformatic characteristics and potential functions of PDIs in diatom Phaeodactylumtricornutum (Pt) are still unknown so far. Hence, the genome-wide characteristics of PtPDI proteins in P. tricornutumwere first studied via bioinformatic and transcriptomic methods. 42 PtPDI genes were identified from thegenome of P. tricornutum. The motif, protein structure, classification, number of introns, phylogenetic relationship,and the expression level of 42 PtPDI genes under the tunicamycin stress were analyzed. A pair of tandemduplicated genes (PtPDI15 and PtPDI18) was observed in P. tricornutum. The 42 PtPDIs with different genecharacteristics were divided into three independent clades, indicating different evolutional relationships and functionsof these PtPDIs. The 14 up-regulated PtPDI genes under the tunicamycin treatment might have a positiveeffect on the ER quality control of the unfolded/misfolded proteins, while the 7 down-regulated PtPDIs mightnegatively affect the ERQC. The characteristics of all 42 PtPDIs and their proposed working model here providea comprehensive understanding of the PtPDIs gene family. The differential expression of 21 PtPDIs will be usefulfor further functional study in the ERQC.

Controlling the Si/C ratio in SiC matrix based on the modified polymethysilane for C/C-SiC composites with enhanced mechanical properties

Fabricating SiC matrix with controllable Si/C ratio for C/C-SiC composites via precursor infiltration and pyrolysis is difficult to realize due to the absence of suitable ***,SiC precursors with Si-rich(Si/C=1.23),nearstoichiometric(Si/C=1.01),and C-rich(Si/C=0.88)pyrolyzed ceramics at 1200℃ were successfully synthesized by the novel modification of *** structure and ceramization of synthesized SiC precursors were studied,and C/C-SiC composites with similar Si/C ratio in SiC matrix were also *** results revealed that the defects and young’s modulus of SiC matrix and the thermal residual stress on pyrolytic carbon coated carbon fiber were determined by the Si/C *** a result,the Si/C ratio exerted significant effects on the crack deflection behavior and the mechanical properties of the *** composites with near-stoichiometric SiC matrix showed excellent mechanical properties because of the effective crack deflection and the moderate young’s modulus of their SiC *** flexural strength,flexural modulus,and compressive strength were 423±27 MPa,33.41±4.52 GPa,and 393±8 MPa,***,after a heat treatment at 1600℃,the role of carbon fiber toughening was improved and accompanied by a decrease in mechanical properties for all composites,which was attributed to the increased defects in SiC matrix and the damaged interfaces by the thermal residual stress.

Modulating the Electrolyte Inner Solvation structure via Low Polarity Co-solvent for Low-Temperature Aqueous Zinc-Ion Batteries

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries are regarded as the promising candidates for large-scale energy storage systems owing to low cost and high safety;however, their applications are restricted by their poor low-temperature performance. Herein, a low-temperature electrolyte for low-temperature aqueous zinc-ion batteries is designed by introducing low-polarity diglyme into an aqueous solution of Zn（ClO4）2. The diglyme disrupts the hydrogenbonding network of water and lowers the freezing point of the electrolyte to-105℃. The designed electrolyte achieves ionic conductivity up to16.18 mS cm-1at-45℃. The diglyme and ClO4-reconfigure the solvated structure of Zn2+, which is more favorable for the desolvation of Zn2+at low temperatures. In addition, the diglyme effectively suppresses the dendrites,hydrogen evolution reaction, and by-products of the zinc anode, improving the cycle stability of the battery. At-20℃, a Zn‖Zn symmetrical cell is cycled for 5200 h at 1 mA cm-2and 1 mA h cm-2, and a Zn‖polyaniline battery achieves an ultra-long cycle life of 10 000 times. This study sheds light on the future design of electrolytes with high ionic conductivity and easy desolvation at low temperatures for rechargeable batteries.

The Effect of Blending Ratio on the structure and Properties of the PPR/PS In situ Fiber Reinforced System Prepared by Multi-Flow Vibration Injection Molding
