Unraveling the synergetic mechanism of physisorption and chemisorption in laser-irradiated monolayer WS_(2)

To further improve the quantum efficiency of atomically thin transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) is crucial for the realization of high-performance optoelectronic applications. To this regard, a few chemical or physical approaches such as superacid treatment, electrical gating, dielectric screening, and laser irradiation have been developed. In particular, the laser irradiation appears to be a more efficient way with good processability and spatial selectivity. However, the underlying mechanism especially about whether chemisorption or physisorption plays a more important role is still debatable. Here, we unravel the mystery of laser irradiation induced photoluminescence enhancement in monolayer WS_(2) by precisely controlling irradiation time and environment. It is found that the synergetic effect of physisorption and chemisorption is responsible for the photoluminescence enhancement, where the physisorption dominates with more than 74% contribution. The comprehensive understanding of the adsorption mechanism in laser-irradiated TMDs may trigger the potential applications for patterned light source, effective photosensor and ultrathin optical memory.

稀土元素被认为是可以有效改善TiCN基金属陶瓷性能的添加剂,但其在高Mo_(2)C含量下的效果尚未得到深入研究。本研究采用真空热压烧结技术,在1500℃下制备了不同La_(2)O_(3)含量的Ti(C,N)-WC-Mo_(2)C-Cr_(3)C_(2)-Ni-Co金属陶瓷,其中Mo_(2)C含量为12 wt.%。对不同La_(2)O_(3)添加量(0.5 wt.%、1.0 wt.%、1.5 wt.%和2.0 wt.%)对Ti(C,N)基陶瓷显微组织和力学性能的影响进行了参数化分析。结果表明,当La_(2)O_(3)含量增加到1.0 wt.%时,芯相的比例增加,脆壳相的比例减少;在陶瓷相晶界上形成的纳米结构,有效抑制了壳相组织的异常长大,这使得金属陶瓷的脆壳相变薄,硬质相颗粒细化,从而提高了其硬度和断裂韧性等力学性能。当La_(2)O_(3)的添加量从1.5 wt.%增加到2.0 wt.%时,La_(2)O_(3)团聚形成直径约100 nm的较大颗粒,大幅度降低了金属陶瓷的力学性能。当La_(2)O_(3)添加量为1.0 wt.%时,Ti(C,N)基陶瓷的综合力学性能最佳,其维氏硬度和断裂韧性分别为16.55 Gpa和6.14 Mpa·m^(1/2)。本研究有助于进一步揭示稀土氧化物对高Mo_(2)C含量Ti(C,N)基陶瓷芯壳结构和力学性能的影响。

The major challenges militating against the proper practice of informed consent identified in our desk top review are related to cultural issues of the *** patients continue to value strongly their kinship ties with the past and believe in the traditional methods of healing *** patients must be given some information about what the doctor proposes to *** underlying spirit of informed consent is new in pNG,and it strives against the traditional attitudes of doctors that they know it best for the patients and the strong culture in customs and patients’misconceptions that affect their perceptions in making important health care *** of the patients have some notion of informed consent,however not many people understand what it *** still hang onto their traditional customs,beliefs and opinions that affect their health care decisions;they often look to their village elders,family and parents for advice in times of sickness or death in the family but where the law implies consent it is not often *** of current laws,reports of legal cases,and personal experiences were *** requirements must be prescribed when patients are subjected to medical *** of a well-defined process,not only on paper,may not only protect the medical doctor from exposure to liability but increases the patient’s autonomy in decisions concerning health and encourages compliance with treatment;and advances the interests of both patient and *** of informed consent can reinforce a claim of medical malpractice,and could well undermine relevant health care policy to protect patient autonomy.
