Objective To study the effectiveness of waist circumference cut-off values in predicting the prevalence of metabolic syndrome （MetS） and risk factors in adults in China. Methods A cross-sectional survey was condcuted in 14 provinces （autonomous region, municipality） in China. A total of 47 325 adults aged 〉20 years were selected by multistage stratified sampling, and questionnaire survey and physical and clinical examination were conducted among them. MetS was defined according to the International Diabetes Federation （IDF） criteria and modified IDF *** The age-standardized prevalence of MetS was 24.2% （22.1% in men and 25.8% in women） and 19.5% （22.1% in men and 18.0% in women} according to the IDF criteria and modified IDF criteria respectively. The age-standardized prevalence of pre-MetS was 8.1% （8.6% in men and 7.8% in women） according to the modified IDF criteria. The prevalence of MetS was higher in urban residents than rural residents and in northern China residents than in southern China residents. The prevalence of central obesity was about 30% in both men and women according to the ethnicity-specific cut-off values of waist circumference for central obesity （90 cm for men and 85 cm for women）. Multivariate regression analysis revealed no significant difference in risk factors between the two MetS definitions. Conclusion Using both the modified IDF criteria and ethnicity-specific cut-off values of waist circumference can provide more useful information about the prevalence of MetS in China.

[Objectives]To isolate and analyze alkaloids in Fructus Hordei Germinatus.[Methods]The alkaloids in the Fructus Hordei Germinatus were extracted by ultrasonic technology,and analyzed by the ultra-performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry(UPLC-MS/MS) technique.[Results] According to the mass spectrometry information,compared with the literature reports,the possible structures of seven alkaloids in the Fructus Hordei Germinatus could be *** 1,2 and 3 were organic amine alkaloids,respectively tyramine and N-methyltyramine,hordenine,compounds 4,5,6 and 7 were indole alkaloids,respectively,tryptamine,gramine,harmine,and *** alkaloids in the Fructus Hordei Germinatus were separated by preparative high performance liquid chromatography(p HPLC) technique,a compound was obtained and identified by UPLC-MS/MS and nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR) technique as hordenine.[Conclusions]This experiment is expected to lay a foundation for the development of alkaloids in the Fructus Hordei Germinatus.

To further enrich the genetic data of the Chinese xinjiang Mongolian group,the genetic distribution and forensic parameters of 19 autosomal short tandem repeats(STRs)were ***,249 alleles were observed in these 19 *** mean values of the polymorphism information content(PIC),match probability(MP),discrimination power(DP),and probability of exclusion(PE)for these 19 STRs were 0.7775,0.0699,0.9301,and 0.6085,***,the cumulative DP and PE values obtained in the Mongolian group were 0.999 999 999 999 999 999 999 995 67 and 0.999 999 992 163,respectively.

The pandemic of COVID-19 witnessed a massive infodemic with the public being bombarded with vast quantities of *** spreading of neutral and highly accurate reports can guide the public to self-protect and reduce the ***-and dis-information would intrigue panic and high exposure risk to *** the infodemic has attracted attentions from the academia,it is still not known to what degree and in which direction the information flows contribute to the COVID-19 *** fill the gap,we apply network reconstruction techniques to rebuild the hidden multiplex network of information and COVID-19 spreading by which we aim at quantifying the interaction between the propagation of information and the spatial outbreak of COVID-19,and delineate between the positive and negative impact of information on the *** differentiating the types of media that participated in the information process,we find that in the early stage of COVID-19 pandemic,infodemic does play a critical role to amplify the risk of virus outbreak in China and the risk is even larger for those highly developed *** to the old-fashion media,the new mobile platforms impose a greater risk to reinforce the positive feedback between infodemic and COVID-19 pandemic.

Fast radio bursts(FRBs) are highly dispersed millisecond-duration radio bursts,[1,2]of which the physical origin is still not fully understood. FRB 20201124A is one of the most actively repeating FRBs. In this paper, we present the collection of 1863 burst dynamic spectra of FRB 20201124A measured with the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope(FAST). The current collection, taken from the observation during the FRB active phase from April to June 2021, is the largest burst sample detected for any FRB so far. The standard PSRFITs format is adopted, including dynamic spectra of the burst, and the time information of the dynamic spectra, in addition, mask files help readers to identify the pulse positions are also provided. The dataset is available in Science Data Bank, with the link https://***/10.57760/sciencedb.j00113.00076.

Haptic(vibration)information expression is an effective human-computer interaction mode and information transfer *** makes up shortcomings of sound under certain conditions and is an important channel of information transfer for route guidance *** a special kind of walkers,the visually impaired pedestrians have a specific type of cognition or perception of route guidance environment(including spatial orientation,distance and walking speed etc.)and they have sharp sense of touch resources form the *** work integrated application of GPS,GIS and Haptic(vibration)technology to develop more reliable mode route guidance for the visually *** provides different vibration to the user under two circumstances:key nodes of roads ahead and deviation planning *** resists environmental noise,reflects timely and has high *** on Google Legend phone,we developed the prototype and realized the designed functions,and verified the effectiveness of the *** initially determined the thresholds of deviating from the path,those at road junctions and other nodes through experiments,interviews *** we used the thresholds for experiments testing and *** they were inspected,corrected and improved in the field ***,more reasonable thresholds were drawn out for future applications in reality.

Studies investigating innovation networks shaped by large innovative enterprises(LI-ENTs),which play a very important role in intercity diffusion of technology and knowledge,are rather thin on the *** location information of LI-ENTs in China,we performed a headquarter-branch analysis to generate intercity innovation linkages and analyzed the patterns and dynamics of the generated network of knowledge *** the network covers 353 cities across China,its spatial distribution is extremely uneven,with a few cities and city-dyads dominating the structure of the ***,intercity linkages of innovation within and of urban agglomerations,as well as their central cities,stand *** regard to network dynamics,the economic development level,innovation ability,and administrative level of cities,as well as the geographical,institutional,and technological proximity between cities are all found to have a positive impact on intercity linkages of innovations,whilst the impact of FDI on the national distribution of Chinese innovative enterprises is *** importantly,the status of cities within the urban agglomeration exerts a significant positive effect in relation to the innovative enterprises’expansions,which reflects that the top-down forces of government and the bottom-up forces of market function together.

Objective: Colorectal cancer(CRC) causes a substantial burden of disease in China and the evidence of economic burden triggered is fundamental for priority setting. The aim of this survey was to quantify medical expenditures and the time trends for CRC diagnosis and treatment in ***: From 2012 to 2014, a hospital-based multicenter retrospective survey was conducted in 13 provinces across China. For each eligible CRC patient diagnosed from 2002 to 2011, clinical information and expenditure data were extracted using a uniform questionnaire. All expenditure data were reported in Chinese Yuan(CNY)using 2011 ***: Of the 14,536 CRC patients included, the average age at diagnosis was 58.2 years and 15.8% were stageI cases. The average medical expenditure per patient was estimated at 37,902 CNY [95 % confidence interval(95%CI): 37,282-38,522], and the annual average increase rate was 9.2% from 2002 to 2011(P for trend <0.001), with a cumulative increase of 2.4 times(from 23,275 CNY to 56,010 CNY). The expenditure per patient in stages Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ and Ⅳ were 31,698 CNY, 37,067 CNY, 38,918 CNY and 42,614 CNY, respectively(P<0.001). Expenditure significantly differed within various subgroups. Expenses for drugs contributed the largest proportion(52.6%).Conclusions: These conservative estimates illustrated that medical expenditures for CRC diagnosis and treatment in tertiary hospitals in China were substantial and increased rapidly over the 10 years, with drugs continually being the main expense by 2011. Relatively, medical expenditures are lower for CRC in the earlier stages. These findings will facilitate the economic evaluation of CRC prevention and control in China.

Background: The increasing prevalence of colorectal cancer(CRC) in China and the paucity of information about relevant expenditure highlight the necessity of better understanding the financial burden and effect of CRC diagnosis and treatment. We performed a survey to quantify the direct medical and non-medical expenditure as well as the resulting financial burden of CRC patients in ***: We conducted a multicenter, cross-sectional survey in 37 tertiary hospitals in 13 provinces across China between 2012 and 2014. Each enrolled patient was interviewed using a structured questionnaire. All expenditure data were inflated to the 2014 Chinese Yuan(CNY; 1 CNY = 0.163 USD). We quantified the overall expenditure and financial burden and by subgroup(hospital type, age at diagnosis, sex, education, occupation, insurance type, household income, clinical stage, pathologic type, and therapeutic regimen). We then performed generalized linear modeling to determine the factors associated with overall ***: A total of 2356 patients with a mean age of 57.4 years were included, 57.1 % of whom were men; 13.9% of patients had stage I cancer; and the average previous-year household income was 54,525 *** overall average direct expenditure per patient was estimated to be 67,408 CNY, and the expenditures for stage Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ, and Ⅳ disease were 56,099 CNY, 59,952 CNY, 67,292 CNY, and 82,729 CNY, respectively. Non-medical expenditure accounted for 8.3%of the overall expenditure. The 1-year out-of-pocket expenditure of a newly diagnosed patient was 32,649 CNY, which accounted for 59.9% of their previous-year household income and caused 75.0% of families to suffer an unmanageable financial burden. Univariate analysis showed that financial burden and overall expenditure differed in almost all subgroups(P < 0.05), except for sex.
