Introduction Congenital granular cell epulis(CGCE)is a rare,benign tumor that manifests on the mucosal surface of the alveolar ridge in *** was initially described by Neumann in 1871 and has been referred to by various names such as congenital epulis,congenital epulis of the newborn,and congenital granular cell tumor.1 Documentation on larger tumors is limited and reported diameters vary.2 Diagnosis necessitates histological examination and immunohistochemical staining,typically revealing negative immunoreactivity for S-100 and cluster of differentiation 68(CD68).3,4 This article presents a case of CGCE with weakly positive S-100 and CD68 staining,alongside a relatively large ***,it conducts a literature review on diverse aspects,encompassing multidisciplinary prenatal diagnosis,antenatal management,choice of delivery mode during childbirth,and postnatal treatment,with the objective of augmenting clinicians’comprehension of the *** study adhered to the guidelines of the Declaration of Helsinki and obtained informed consent from the patient and approval from the medical ethics committee of Chongqing Health Center for women and Children.

Osteogenesis imperfecta(OI)is a primary bone fragility disorder with an estimated prevalence of 1/15,000 births and is a hereditary syndrome characterized by one or more of the following:fractures,blue sclerae,impaired hearing,defective dentition,and hyperlaxibility throughout life.[1,2]We report a pregnant woman with type II OI and review her prenatal counseling,diagnosis,and pregnancy management to assist obstetricians in understanding the disease and managing it in emergency situations.

Long non-coding RNAs(lncRNAs)play an indispensable role in the occurrence and development of ovarian cancer(OC).However,the potential involvement of lncRNAs in the progression of OC is largely *** investigate the detailed roles and mechanisms of RAD51 homolog B-antisense 1(RAD51B-AS1),a novel lncRNA in OC,reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR)was performed to verify the expression of *** proliferation,metastasis,and apoptosis were detected using the cell counting kit-8(CCK-8),colony-formation,transwell,and flow cytometry *** xenograft models were established for the detection of *** results revealed that RAD51B-AS1 was significantly upregulated in a highly metastatic human OC cell line and OC ***51B-AS1 significantly increased the proliferation and metastasis of OC cells and enhanced their resistance to *** prediction analysis revealed that the only target gene of RAD51B-AS1 was *** gene function experiments revealed that RAD51B exerts the same biological effects as *** experiments demonstrated that the malignant biological behaviors promoted by RAD51B-AS1 overexpression were partially or completely reversed by RAD51B silencing in vitro and in ***,RAD51B-AS1 promotes the malignant biological behaviors of OC and activates the protein kinase B(Akt)/B cell lymphoma protein-2(Bcl-2)signaling pathway,and these effects may be associated with the positive regulation of RAD51B ***51B-AS1 is expected to serve as a novel molecular biomarker for the diagnosis and prediction of poor prognosis in OC,and as a potential therapeutic target for disease management.

Necrotizing enterocolitis(NEC)is a devastating gastrointestinal disease over decades,which,however,remains the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in preterm infants.^([1])Although multiple factors,including gastrointestinal tract bacterial colonization,immaturity,and formula feeding,are reported to be involved in the pathogenesis of NEC,the precise mechanisms are not well *** to the advances in metagenomic sequencing,ample evidences have illustrated the presence of gut dysbacteriosis in infants with NEC,which is characterized by an elevated abundance of Proteobacteria,reduced abundance of Firmicutes phyla,and an overall decrease in bacterial diversity,providing novel insights into NEC progression.^([1,2])Additionally,the bacterial replication rates,particularly those of Enterobacteriaceae,rapidly increase two days prior to NEC diagnosis.^([2])

Long noncoding RNA(lncRNA)IDH1 antisense RNA 1(IDH1-AS1)is involved in the progression of multiple cancers,but its role in epithelial ovarian cancer(EOC)is ***,we investigated the expression levels of IDH1-AS1 in EOC cells and normal ovarian epithelial cells by quantitative real-time PCR(qPCR).We first evaluated the effects of IDH1-AS1 on the proliferation,migration,and invasion of EOC cells through cell counting kit-8,colony formation,EdU,transwell,wound-healing,and xenograft *** then explored the downstream targets of IDH1-AS1 and verified the results by a dual-luciferase reporter,qPCR,rescue experiments,and Western *** found that the expression levels of IDH1-AS1 were lower in EOC cells than in normal ovarian epithelial *** IDH1-AS1 expression of EOC patients from the Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analysis database indicated a favorable prognosis,because IDH1-AS1 inhibited cell proliferation and xenograft tumor growth of ***1-AS1 sponged miR-518c-5p whose overexpression promoted EOC cell *** miR-518c-5p mimic also reversed the proliferation-inhibiting effect induced by IDH1-AS1 ***,we found that RNA binding motif protein 47(RBM47)was the downstream target of miR-518c-5p,that upregulation of RBM47 inhibited EOC cell proliferation,and that RBM47 overexpressing plasmid counteracted the proliferation-promoting effect caused by the IDH1-AS1 *** together,IDH1-AS1 may suppress EOC cell proliferation and tumor growth via the miR-518c-5p/RBM47 axis.

BACKGROUND Hormone replacement therapy is an effective treatment strategy for the management of symptoms in naturally menopausal ***,some patients report experiencing adverse *** To analyze the effects of hormone replacement therapy in menopausal female *** A total of 152 menopausal female patients admitted to the Gynecology Department of the Ganzhou Maternal and Child Health hospital between January 2021 and December 2023 were divided into the observation group(n=76,conventional treatment+hormone replacement therapy)and the control group(n=76,conventional treatment only)via random *** improvement observed in the following items were compared between the groups:Kupperman menopausal index(KMI),emotional state[The Positive and Negative Affect Scale(PANAS)],sleep quality[Self-Rating Scale of Sleep(SRSS)],treatment effectiveness,and treatment *** The modified KMI and SRSS scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group after three rounds of *** improvement in the PANAS score observed in the observation group was greater than that observed in the control group(P<0.05).The total treatment effectivity rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(86.84%vs 96.05%,χ2=4.121,P=0.042).The incidence rate of adverse reactions in the two groups was comparable(6.58%vs 9.21%,χ2=0.361,P=0.547).CONCLUSION Hormone replacement therapy effectively improved the clinical symptoms,actively channeled negative emotions,and improved the quality of sleep in menopausal patients,indicating its effectiveness and safety.
