Effects of biomass pellet composition on the thermal and emissions performances of a TLUD cooking stove

Indoor air pollution is ranked the 5th in the Global Burden of disease index of the World Health Organization(WHO).Almost half of the world’s population depends on biomass fuels to meet their basic energy requirements for cooking,lighting and space *** fuel is badly combusted in poorly designed stoves,the fuel-stove combination results in high level of noxious emissions entering the home,accumulating to dangerous *** this study,a Chinese unvented top lit updraft(TLUD)biomass stove was operated with three different biomass pellets formed from corn stover,cotton stalk and peanut *** performance tests were conducted according to the latest standard from the Chinese Ministry of *** calorific value,moisture level,volatile matter and elemental composition are reported for *** thermal efficiencies of the stove were 15.3%,10.1%and 14.4%,*** cooking powers were 2.68 kW,1.61 kW and 1.57 *** exhaust was collected using a hood and *** CO,NO and NOX were drawn after passing 1.5 m along the tunnel and the Particulate Matter(PM)was sampled after 1.6 *** Emission Factors(EF)for CO,NO,NOX and PM_(10) are reported on both a mass per unit energy delivered to the pot(g/MJ_(NET))and a mass per mass of fuel basis(g/kg).The range for CO was 4.56-7.61 g/MJ_(NET)(11.25-21.25 g/kg);NO was 0.75-1.23 g/MJ_(NET)(2.09-3.04 g/kg);NO_(x) was 1.13-1.90 g/MJ_(NET)(3.14-4.86 g/kg);PM_(10) was 0.59-0.85 g/MJ_(NET)(1.67-2.09 g/kg).The range in these values was more significantly influenced by the fuel moisture content and the percentage of volatile matter than by variations in the elemental composition.

Background： This study was to establish a disease differentiation model for ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction （STEMI） youth patients experiencing ischemia and reperfusion via ultra-performance liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry （UPLC/MS） platform, which searches for closely related characteristic metabolites and metabolic pathways to evaluate their predictive value in the prognosis after discharge. Methods： Forty-seven consecutive STEMI patients （23 patients under 45 years of age, referred to here as ＂youth,＂ and 24 elderly patients） and 48 healthy control group members （24 youth, 24 elderly） were registered prospectively. The youth patients were required to provide a second blood draw during a follow-up visit one year after morbidity （n - 22, one lost）. Characteristic metabolites and relative metabolic pathways were screened via UPLC/MS platform base on the Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes （KEGG） and Human Metabolome Database. Receiver operating characteristic （ROC） curves were drawn to evaluate the predictive value of characteristic metabolites in the prognosis after discharge. Results： We successfully established an orthogonal partial least squares discriminated analysis model （R2X = 71.2%, R2Y = 79.6%, and Q2 55.9%） and screened out 24 ions; the sphingolipid metabolism pathway showed the most drastic change. The ROC curve analysis showed that ceramide [Cer（dl 8：0/16：0）, Cer（t 18：0/12：0）] and sphinganine in the sphingolipid pathway have high sensitivity and specificity on the prognosis related to major adverse cardiovascular events after youth patients were discharged. The area under curve （AUC） was 0.67 1, 0.750, and 0.711, respectively. A follow-up validation one year after morbidity showed corresponding AUC of 0.778, 0.833, and 0.806. Fuzheng Huayu Capsule Improves Survival in Patients with HepatitisB-related Cirrhosis and Overt Hepatic Encephalopathy

《生活饮用水卫生标准》(GB 5749-2022)对出厂水嗅味物质2-甲基异莰醇(2-MIB)和土臭素(GSM)提出严格要求。普遍应用的臭氧接触氧化工艺难以有效氧化去除2-MIB,而·OH对2-MIB具有很高的反应速度常数。基于此,在供水规模12万m^(3)/d的山东省L水厂常规工艺前,建设了前置O_(3)/H_(2)O_(2)高级氧化工艺,2023年4月1日通水运行。对比分析表明,新工艺对2-MIB、GSM、高锰酸盐指数等皆起到明显去除效果,且进一步降低了沉淀池出水浑浊度与颗粒物数量,削减了后续消毒剂用量与消毒副产物的生成。水厂供水水质全面提升,从药耗的角度来看,吨水药剂成本减少0.104~0.190元/m^(3)。

Growing evidence has demonstrated exercise as an effective way to promote cardiovascular health and protect against cardiovascular diseases However,the underlying mechanisms of the beneficial effects of exercise have yet to be *** exercise studies are widely used to investigate the key mechanisms of exercise-induced cardiovascular ***,standardized procedures and well-established evaluation indicators for animal exercise models are needed to guide researchers in carrying out effective,high-quality animal studies using exercise to prevent and treat cardiovascular *** our review,we present the commonly used animal exercise models in cardiovascular research and propose a set of standard procedures for exercise training,emphasizing the appropriate measurements and analysis in these chronic exercise *** also provide recommendations for optimal design of animal exercise studies in cardiovascular research,including the choice of exercise models,control of exercise protocols,exercise at different stages of disease,and other considerations,such as age,sex,and genetic *** hope that this position paper will promote basic research on exercise-induced cardiovascular protection and pave the way for successful translation of exercise studies from bench to bedside in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

目的评估健康素养及运动干预降低2型糖尿病（T2DM）患者血糖水平的效果。方法以上海市闵行区和长宁区799名最近一次糖化血红蛋白（HbA1c）≥7．5％（或FPG≥10mmol／L）的T2DM患者为研究对象，采用整群随机分组方法分为健康素养干预组、运动干预组、综合干预组（健康素养＋运动干预）和对照组，每组各约200人。基线调查、身体测量及生化检测完成后，各干预组分别接受为期1年的干预。第3、6和12个月时，对所有患者进行问卷调查随访、身体测量和HbA1c检测。结果3、6和12个月时患者的总应答率分别为99．4％、98．4％和95．2％。干预满3个月时，综合干预组HbA1c达标率（HbA1c〈7．0％）最高，为25．3％，6和12个月时运动干预组达标率最高，分别为25．3％和34．6％。与基线时相比，各干预组HbA1c值在不同随访时段均有下降，以6个月时最明显，综合干预组平均下降0．48％（95％CI：-0．71％—-0．25％），健康素养干预组下降0．33％（95％a：-0．55％-0．11％），运动干预组下降0．70％（95％CI：-0．92％．0．48％），而对照组略升高0．03％（95％CI：-0．19％～0．25％），差异有统计学意义（P〈0．001）。以对照组为参比，调整可能的混杂因素后，3个月时综合干预组HbA1c效果最佳（β=-0．47，95％CI：-0．73—0．20）；随后运动干预的效果逐渐凸现，6和12个月时HbA1c降幅分别达-0．73（95％CI：-0．98—0．47）和-0．75（95％CI：-1．05—-0．45）。分层分析显示，在健康素养较低的患者中3种干预手段均有效，而在算术能力高者中运动干预更为有效。结论健康素养及运动干预均可有效降低上海市社区T2DM患者的HbA1c水平，这将有助于降低患者并发症的发生和早死风险。
