MARPOL 73/78,Chapter IV is considered to reveal the emission control engineering on *** probability model of the fuel oil consumption is established based on the machine learning *** proposed methods are applied into this research in order to establish the probability model of fuel oil *** combination of Monte Carlo(MC)simulation method with Artificial Neural Networks(ANNs)is an optimal solution to deal the fuel consumption of marine main diesel *** sample data has been established based on the Monte Carlo simulation *** model of fuel oil consumption is designed by Artificial Neural Network *** proposed prediction model of fuel oil consumption is based on a back-propagation training algorithm of ANNs *** research results of proposed model have been verified with the actual operation data that have been collected from a certain bulk carrier of VINIC shipping transportation company in *** collected data is the actual operation parameters from the noon-log report of voyage during two years of the *** probability model of fuel oil consumption for main diesel engine is very useful in the field of ships energy efficiency management with higher accurancy than the other previous models.

The world is facing great challenges regarding the energy crisis and environmental *** of the main challenges is the increasing number of ships with a lot of different types and *** this research,it is essential to analyze the operational energy efficiency of sea-going ships since the previous studies have concentrated on the inland river *** working is carried out by analyzing of the energy efficiency operation for large size ships such as bulk carriers,container ships,*** on the resistance characteristics of different navigation environment factors.A numerical model of main engine energy efficiency operation was considered using the energy efficiency measure of IMO(International maritime Organization),in particular using the Energy Efficiency Operational Indicator(EEOI)as a monitoring tool in this *** EEOI numerical model was established and simulated through Simulink/Matlab and verified by the collected data from a certain vessel in *** EEOI model was simulated under the different navigation environment conditions including various engine speed,wind speed,wave height,and water *** that,the simulation results of this research will be compared with experimental database of a certain bulk carrier namely M/V NSU JUSTICE 250,000 *** results indicated that it is important to consider the main engine speed appropriately in ship operation in order to save energy onboard and reduce the greenhouse gas emission problem.

The residual strength capacity of ship hull with full corrosion appearance in every structural member has been considered in a large number of research works;however,the influence of local corrosion on the ultimate strength and cross-section properties has not been taken into account and ***,this study aims to assess the effect of corrosion appearance in the flange section and web section on the ultimate vertical bending moment and several cross-section properties of a bulk *** perform this task,a probabilistic corrosion rate estimation model and the common structural rule model are introduced and *** incremental-iterative method given by the International Association of Classification Societies-Common Structural Rules(IACS-CSR)is applied to determine the ultimate vertical bending moment,neutral axis position at the limit state,and other properties of the *** calculation results and discussions relative to the effect of corrosion on ship hull are presented.

The type of technology used to strengthen the surface structure of machine parts,typically by carbon-permeation,has made a great contribution to the mechanical engineering industry because of its outstanding advantages in corrosion resistance and enhanced mechanical and physical ***,carbon permeation is considered as an optimal method of heat treatment through the diffusion of carbon atoms into the surface of alloy *** study presented research results on the thermodynamic calculation and simulation of the carbon permeability *** Fick’s law,the paper calculated the distribution of carbon concentration in the alloy steel after it is absorbed from the surface into the internal of the *** the SYSWELD software,an analysis was performed on the carbon permeability process to determine the distribution of carbon concentrations in 20CrMo steel that was then followed by a detailed analysis of the microstructure of the sample post the carburizing *** to the calculation results,the surface carbon content was 0.9%and steadily decreased into the *** 3 hours,the depth of the absorbent layer was measured at 0.5 mm for both the cylindrical and cubic *** analyzing the phase,the distribution of martensite phases such as ferrite/pearlite and residual austenite was also determined after the carburizing process.

Currently,the 65Mn steel is quenched mainly by oil *** though the lower cooling rate of oil compared to water reduces the hardness of steel post quenching,the deforming and cracking of parts are often *** the other hand,the oil media also has the disadvantage of being ammable,creating smoke that adversely affects the *** poly alkylene glycol(PAG)polymer quenchant is commonly used for quenching a variety of steels based on its advantages such as non-ammability and exible cooling rate subjected to varying concentration and stirring *** article examines the effect of PAG polymer quenching solution(with concentrations of 10%and 20%)on deformation,hardness,and microstructure of C-ring samples made of 65Mn ***,the performance of PAG polymer quenchant is also compared with those of two common quenching solutions:Water and *** cooling in water,the C-ring samples had the largest deformation and 2 times higher than the results obtained when a 10%PAG solution was *** particular,similar levels of deformation on the C-ring samples were observed in both cases of 20%PAG solution and oil as the primary quenching ***,the hardness level measured between the sampled parts quenched in the 20%PAG solution appeared to be more uniform than that obtained from the oil-quenched *** study of the microscopic structure of steel by optical microscopy combined with X-ray diffraction showed that the water hardened sample exhibited cracks and comprised of two phases,martensite and retained *** to the results of Electron Back Scattering Diffraction(EBSD)analysis and backscattering electronic image(BSE),the content of austenite residue in the sample when the sample was cooled in PAG 10 and 20%solution was 3.21%and 4.73%,respectively and smaller than the measurements obtained from oil quenching ***,the 65Mn steel is cooled in 20%PAG solution for high hardness and more evenly distributed than when it is q

This paper presents an adapted stabilisation method for the equal-order mixed scheme of finite elements on convex polygonal meshes to analyse the high velocity and pressure gradient of incompressible fluid flows that are governed by Stokes equations *** technique is constructed by a local pressure projection which is extremely simple,yet effective,to eliminate the poor or even non-convergence as well as the instability of equal-order mixed polygonal *** this research,some numerical examples of incompressible Stokes fluid flow that is coded and programmed by MATLAB will be presented to examine the effectiveness of the proposed stabilised method.

Target tracking has a wide range of applications in intelligent transportation,real‐time monitoring,human‐computer interaction and other ***,in the tracking process,the target is prone to deformation,occlusion,loss,scale variation,background clutter,illumination variation,etc.,which bring great challenges to realize accurate and real‐time *** based on Siamese networks promotes the application of deep learning in the field of target tracking,ensuring both accuracy and real‐time ***,due to its offline training,it is difficult to deal with the fast motion,serious occlusion,loss and deformation of the target during ***,it is very helpful to improve the performance of the Siamese networks by learning new features of the target quickly and updating the target position in time *** broad learning system(BLS)has a simple network structure,high learning efficiency,and strong feature learning *** at the problems of Siamese networks and the characteristics of BLS,a target tracking method based on BLS is *** method combines offline training with fast online learning of new features,which not only adopts the powerful feature representation ability of deep learning,but also skillfully uses the BLS for re‐learning and re‐*** broad re‐learning information is used for re‐detection when the target tracking appears serious occlusion and so on,so as to change the selection of the Siamese networks search area,solve the problem that the search range cannot meet the fast motion of the target,and improve the *** results show that the proposed method achieves good results on three challenging datasets and improves the performance of the basic algorithm in difficult scenarios.

The control synthesis of the high-speed underwater vehicle faces many technical challenges due to its inherent structure and surrounding operational *** this paper,the dynamical behavior is firstly described through a bifurcation analysis to give some insights for robust control *** a novel adaptive fractional-order sliding mode controller(AFOSMC)is realized to effectively manipulate the supercavitating vehicle against payload changes,nonlinear planing force,and external *** fractional order(FO)calculus can offer more flexibility and more freedom for tuning active control synthesis than the integer-order *** addition,the adaptation law has been presented to directly handle the payload change *** stability of the controlled vehicle system is proven via Lyapunov stability ***,the dynamic performance of the proposed controller is verified through extensive simulation results,which demonstrate the control accuracy with faster responses compared with existing integer-order ***,the proposed fractional order controllers can provide higher performance than their integer order counterparts with control algorithms.
