Making use of the Carlson-Shaffer convolution operator, we introduce and study a new class of analytic functions related to conic domains. The main object of this paper is to investigate inclusion relations, coefficient bound for this class. we also show that this class is closed under convolution with a convex function. Some applications are also discussed.

The manuscript presents changes of macrostructure and microstructure of plate and shaft castings made of cobalt alloy MAR-M509. They have different values of geometric module M within the range of 0.91 -5.56 mm that have been created with multilayer ceramic shell moulds （MSC） of different initial temperatures of 200-1000 ℃ at the moment of pouring. It has been stated that decrease of initial temperature of MSC and value M causes increase in casting fine-granularity, distance reduction between dendrite branches λ2 and refinement of initial carbides in irregular ternary eutectic γ＋M23C6 ＋MC.

As ecosystem engineers,earthworms play a key role in the soil ***,due to increasing anthropogenic pressure,soil organisms,including earthworms,are being threatened by habitat *** this study,we undertook a qualitative and quantitative investigation of earthworms of the family Lumbricidae in four types of Carpathian beech woodland(Fagetum carpaticum),characterized by their understory vegetation(I,*** drymejae;Ⅱ,***;Ⅲ,***;and IV,***),in the Bieszczady National Park(Eastern Carpathians,Southeast Poland).At each investigated site,soil monoliths(25 cm×25 cm×25 cm)were examined by hand *** were expelled from deep soil layers using a weak formalin solution(0.4%).Depending on the phytocoenosis,7 species of Lumbricidae were identified at each of the sites I,Ⅱ,andⅢand 10 at site *** IV(***)differed significantly(Pwith respect to earthworm biomass(59.71±39.53 g m^(-2))and the Shannon-wiener diversity index(0.52±0.12).Although present three decades ago,the deep-burrowing species Octodrilus transpadanus and the litter-dwelling species Dendrobaena octaedra were not found at site IV in the present *** suspect that these two species may have been displaced by the invasive Lumbricus terrestris,which was not found at the same site in the *** observations warrant further investigation to verify the predicted effects of an invasive earthworm,including the potential effects on soils and other fauna and flora,which have been documented in numerous countries.

Despite their strategic hydrological importance for neighbouring areas,the Polish Carpathians are experiencing spatial chaos,which may weaken their adaptability to the progressive climate *** article attempts to answer the question of whether spatial planning,which is supposed to guarantee spatial order,fulfils its role and whether the knowledge of the natural conditions of spatial development is respected in the spatial planning *** GIS techniques,up to 238 communes were analysed in terms of their spatial coverage,the degree of scattered settlement,and the violation of natural barriers by location of buildings in areas that are threatened with mass movements or floods;by settlement on excessively inclined slopes and in areas with adverse climatic *** non-parametric rank correlation analysis and the multidimensional Principal Component Analysis(PCA)technique were performed to investigate relations between spatial chaos indicators and the planning *** analysis of the data has revealed that spatial planning does not fulfil its *** errors in location of buildings have been noted even though the communes are covered by local spatial development *** knowledge is not sufficiently transferred into planning documents,and bottom-up initiatives cannot replace systemic *** is a need for strengthening the role of environmental studies documents in the spatial planning *** would facilitate the transfer of scientific knowledge into the planning process and help to protect mountain *** development of a special spatial strategy for the Polish Carpathians in compliance with the Carpathian Convention is also recommended.

BACKGROUND Gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a serious health and social problem leading to a considerable decrease in the quality of life of patients. Among the risk factors associated with reflux symptoms and that decrease the quality of life are stress, overweight and an increase in body weight. The concept of healthrelated quality of life (HRQL) covers an expanded effect of the disease on a patient’s wellbeing and daily activities and is one of the measures of widely understood quality of life. HRQL is commonly measured using a selfadministered, disease-specific questionnaires. AIM To determine the effect of reflux symptoms, stress and body mass index (BMI) on the quality of life. METHODS The study included 118 patients diagnosed with reflux disease who reported to an outpatient department of gastroenterology or a specialist hospital ward for planned diagnostic tests. Assessment of the level of reflux was based on the frequency of 5 typical of GERD symptoms. HRQL was measured by a 36-item Short Form Health Survey (SF-36) and level of stress using the 10-item Perceived Stress Scale. Multi-variable relationships were analyzed using multiple regression. RESULTS Eleven models of analysis were performed in which the scale of the SF-36 was included as an explained variable. In all models, the same set of explanatory variables: Gender, age, reflux symptoms, stress and BMI, were included. The frequency of GERD symptoms resulted in a decrease in patients’ results according to 6 out of 8 SF-36 scales- except for mental health and vitality scales. Stress resulted in a decrease in patient function in all domains measured using the SF-36. Age resulted in a decrease in physical function and in overall assessment of self-reported state of health. An increasing BMI exerted a negative effect on physical fitness and limitations in functioning resulting from this decrease. The paper presents a model of the thermodynamic evolution of the comet nucleus *** the proposed approach,we focus on the analysis of the formation of pits visible on the surface of the cometary *** pits are a consequence of the thermodynamic evolution of both the surface layers and the inner layers of the cometary *** a result of complex thermodynamic processes,the surface layer is destroyed.A measure of this destruction is the amount of comet material that is thrown into a coma as a result of *** effect of this process is an increase in the area on which the incident light *** we can notice a sudden increase in the brightness of the comet,i.e.,its outburst.A measure of the amplitude of a given outburst is the diameter and thickness of the surface layer that has been *** mechanism of the evolution of the pits was proposed based on the analysis of many photos taken by the Rosetta *** obtained numerical values correspond to the actual brightness changes of the Jupiter family comets during their outburst.
