The relation between the spin period and the orbital period in high-mass X-ray binaries is ***/X-ray binaries and SG/X-ray binaries occupy different areas in Corbet's *** two SG/X-ray binaries,IGR J18483-0311 and OAO 1657-415,however,appear to occupy a transition region between Be/X-ray binaries and wind-fed SG/X-ray *** can be understood by noting that the neutron stars in the two SG/X-ray binaries have not reached their equilibrium spin periods when the donors evolved off the main ***,we provide an alternative scenario to explain their location in Corbet's diagram:the SG/X-ray binaries are the descendants of Be/X-ray binaries,*** supergiants in these systems were formed from O-type emission line stars instead of normal main-sequence ***,we suggest that there are two types of SG/X-ray binaries:one is directly evolved from a normal OB-type main sequence and neutron star system without an X-ray history,and the other evolved from a Be/X-ray binary with an X-ray history.

This paper reviews gravitational wave sources and their detection. One of the most exciting potential sources of gravitational waves are coalescing binary black hole systems. They can occur on all mass scales and be formed in numerous ways, many of which are not understood. They are generally invisible in electromagnetic waves, and they provide opportunities for deep investigation of Einstein's general theory of relativity. Sect. 1 of this paper considers ways that binary black holes can be created in the universe, and includes the prediction that binary black hole coalescence events are likely to be the first gravitational wave sources to be detected. The next parts of this paper address the detection of chirp waveforms from coalescence events in noisy *** analysis is computationally intensive. Sect. 2 reviews a new and powerful method of signal detection based on the GPUimplemented summed parallel infinite impulse response filters. Such filters are intrinsically real time alorithms, that can be used to rapidly detect and localise signals. Sect. 3 of the paper reviews the use of GPU processors for rapid searching for gravitational wave bursts that can arise from black hole births and coalescences. In sect. 4 the use of GPU processors to enable fast efficient statistical significance testing of gravitational wave event candidates is reviewed. Sect. 5 of this paper addresses the method of multimessenger astronomy where the discovery of electromagnetic counterparts of gravitational wave events can be used to identify sources, understand their nature and obtain much greater science outcomes from each identified event.

The time-travel genre of Chinese Internet literature combines old mythological motifs with contemporary science fiction approaches to create a narrative line in which the protagonist travels through time, undergoes a series of trials, discovers new worlds, and realizes an idealized life. Borrowing Foucault＇s theory of utopian bodies and heterotopias and taking Tianxia Guiyuan＇s female-oriented Intemet novel Empress Fuyao as its exemplary case, this study analyzes how time-travel fiction uses time travel in order to image a ＂utopia＂ and what kind of ＂new world＂ is projected by this utopia, In the process, this paper will simultaneously examine the relationship between utopia and twenty-first century China＇s new media literature.

Most studies focus on the adaptive immune cells in the GVHD pathogenesis,while little is known about innate immune cells in GVHD occurrence and development,especially ***,a higher incidence of graft versus host disease(GVHD)is also found in the elderly *** advances have been made in the modification of macrophages influenced by the inflamm-ageing,there is still no review on the role of macrophages in GVHD and the association between GVHD and the altered macrophages by *** this review,we focus on the potential age-related modifications of macrophage in GVHD,which contributes to the change of morbidity and mortality of *** literature review,we found that the infiltration of macrophages is associated with GVHD and macrophages are modified in inflamm-ageing state,including the proliferation,migration,phagocytosis,antigen presentation,interaction with other immune cells,and *** suppose that altered macrophage functions in inflamm-ageing state contribute to GVHD in elderly patients.

This study aims to investigate whether clinical and biological preoperative characteristics of patients who were to undergo radical prostatectomy were associated with impairment in patient-reported quality of life(QoL)and erectile dysfunction immediately before *** evaluated patient-reported outcomes among 1019 patients(out of 1343)of the AndroCan study,willing to score the Aging Male Symptom(AMS)and the International Index of Erectile Function 5-item(IIEF-5)*** linear regression and robust multiple regression were used to ascertain the relationship between demographic,clinical,and hormonal parameters and global AMS or IIEF-5 *** a result,most patients(85.1%)of the Androcan cohort agreed to complete *** higher IIEF-5 global scores were found in non-Caucasian and obese patients,with larger waist circumference,metabolic syndrome,diabetes mellitus,cardiovascular disease,hypertension,high blood sugar,concomitant medications,and hypogonadism,while the AMS global score was significantly higher in patients with larger waist circumference,metabolic syndrome,high blood pressure,raised glycemia,and concomitant *** IIEF-5 global score was correlated to age,dehydroepiandrosterone(DHEA),fat mass percentage,and androstenediol(D5).The AMS global score was significantly correlated to DHEA,D5,and DHEA ***,the multivariate models showed that QoL and erectile function were significantly affected,before surgery,by symptoms and signs that are usually considered as pertaining to the metabolic syndrome,while sexual hormones are essentially correlated to erectile dysfunction.

AIM: To analyse allelic frequency of NOD2 gene variantsand to assess their correlation with inflammatory bowel disease(IBD) in ***: We studied 132 unrelated patients diagnosed with IBD, 86 with Crohn's disease(CD) and 46 with ulcerative colitis(UC). Data was prospectively collected between January 2011 and December 2013. The demographic and clinical characteristics were recorded for all the patients. A group of 114 healthy unrelated individuals were selected as controls. All groups studied originated from different regions of North Algeria and confirmed the Algerian origin of their parents and grandparents. Informed and written consent was obtained from each of the participants. All individuals were genotyped for the three CDassociated NOD2 variants(***702 Trp, ***908 Arg and ***1007 fsins C mutations) using the polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism method. Allele and genotype frequencies in patients and control subjects were compared by χ2 test and Fisher's exact test where appropriate. Odds ratios(OR) and 95% confidence intervals(95%CI) were also estimated. Association analyses were performed to study the influence of these variants on IBD and on clinical ***: The ***702 Trp mutation showed the highest frequency in CD patients(8%) compared to UC patients(2%)(P = 0.09, OR = 3.67, 95%CI: 0.48-4.87) and controls(5%)(P = 0.4, OR = 1.47, 95%CI: 0.65-3.31). In CD patients allelic frequencies of ***908 Arg and ***1007 fsins C variants compared to HC were 3% vs 2%(P = 0.5, OR = 1.67, 95%CI: 0.44-6.34); 2% vs 1%(P = 0.4 OR = 2.69 95%CI: 0.48-14.87 respectively). In UC patients, allelic frequencies of ***908 Arg and ***1007 fsins C variants compared to HC were 1% vs 2%(P = 1, OR = 1.62, 95%CI: 0.17-4.74) and 2% vs 1%(P = 0.32, OR = 0.39, 95%CI: 0.05-2.87). We select a large volume-limited sample of low surface brightness galax- ies （LSBGs, 2021） to investigate in detail their statistical properties and their dif- ferences from high surface brightness galaxies （HSBGs, 3639）. The distributions of stellar masses of LSBGs and HSBGs are nearly the same and they have the same me- dian values. Thus this volume-limited sample has good completeness and is further removed from the effect of stellar masses on their other properties when we compare LSBGs to HSBGs. We found that LSBGs tend to have lower stellar metallicities and lower effective dust attenuations, indicating that they have lower dust than HSBGs. The LSBGs have relatively higher stellar mass-to-light ratios, higher gas fractions, lower star forming rates （SFRs）, and lower specific SFRs than HSBGs. Moreover, with the decreasing surface brightness, gas fraction increases, but the SFRs and spe- cific SFRs decrease rapidly for the sample galaxies. This could mean that the star formation histories between LSBGs and HSBGs are different, and HSBGs may have stronger star forming activities than LSBGs.
