Antifertility effects of methanolic pod extract of Albizzia lebbeck (L.) Benth in male rats

Aim: To evaluate the antifertility activity of the methanolic pod extract of Albizzia lebbeck (L.) Benth in male albino rats. Methods: The methanolic pod extract of Albizzia lebbeck was administrated orally for 60 days at 50, 100 and 200 mg·kg-1·day-1 to male albino rats. Sperm motility and density in cauda epididymides were assessed. Biochemical and histological analysis were performed in blood samples and reproductive organs. Results: A. lebbeck pod extract brought about a significant decrease in the weights of testis, seminal vesicles, epdidymis and ventral prostate. The sperm motility and density were significantly reduced. There was a marked reduction in the numbers of primary spermatocytes, secondary spermatocytes and spermatids. The Sertoli cell count as well as its cross sectional surface area were significantly decreased. The Leydig cell nuclear area and the number of mature Leydig celis were also significantly decreased. The protein, glycogen and cholesterol content of the testis, the fructose in the seminal vesicles and protein in the epididymis were significantly decreased. The RBC and WBC counts, haemoglobin, haematocrit and blood sugar were within the normai range. Conclusion: The methanolic extract of A. lebbeck pods causes spermatogenic arrest in male albino rats.

Multi and single carrier waveforms are utilized in cellular systems for high-speed data *** The Fifth Generation(5G)system,several waveform techniques based on multi carrier waveforms are ***,the Peak to Average Power Ratio(PAPR)is seen as one of the significant concerns in advanced waveforms as it degrades the efficiency of the *** proposed article documents the study,progress,and implementation of PAPR reduction algorithms for the 5G radio *** compare the PAPR algorithm performance for advanced and conventional *** simulation results reveal that the advanced Partial Transmission Sequence(PTS)and Selective Mapping(SLM)methods enhanced the throughput and gain of the 5G ***,we have also analyzed the performance of Orthogonal Time Frequency Space Modulation(OTFSM)based on a single carrier system and found that PAPR is significantly low and is best suited to fading *** is seen that the conventional algorithms lower the PAPR but increase the *** proposed PTS and SLM have shown good performance with low computational complexity.

Aim： To assess the contraceptive efficacy of the benzene chromatographic fraction of the chloroform extract of the seeds of Carica papaya in langur monkeys. Methods： The test substance was given p.o. to five monkeys at 50 mg/kg body weight/day for 360 days. Control animals （n = 3） received olive oil as vehicle. Sperm parameters as per World Health Organization standards, sperm functional tests, morphology of testis and epididymis, haematology, clinical biochemistry, serum testosterone and libido were evaluated. Following completion of 360 days treatment the animals were withdrawn from the treatment and the recovery pattern was assessed by semen analysis and sperm functional tests. Results： Total inhibition of sperm motility was observed following 60 days of treatment that continued until 360 days study period. Sperm count, percent viability and percent normal spermatozoa showed a drastic decline following 30 days of treatment. Sperm morphology showed predominant mid piece abnormalities. Sperm functional tests scored in sterile range. Histology and ultrastructure of testis revealed vacuolization in the Sertoli cells and germ cells. Loss of cytoplasmic organelles was evident in spermatocytes and round spermatids. Histology and ultrastructure of epididymis of treated animals were comparable to those of control animals. Hematological and serum clinical parameters and testosterone levels fluctuated within the control range throughout the study period. Recovery was evident following 60--120 days of treatment withdrawal. Conclusion- The results suggest that the benzene chro- matographic fraction of the chloroform extract of the seeds of Carica papaya shows contraceptive efficacy without adverse toxicity, mediated through inhibition of sperm motility. （Asian JAndro12008 Mar; 10： 298-306）

In today’s information technology(IT)world,the multi-hop wireless sensor networks(MHWSNs)are considered the building block for the Internet of Things(IoT)enabled communication systems for controlling everyday tasks of organizations and industry to provide quality of service(QoS)in a stipulated time slot to end-user over the *** city(SC)is an example of one such application which can automate a group of civil services like automatic control of traffic lights,weather prediction,surveillance,etc.,in our daily *** IoT-based networks with multi-hop communication and multiple sink nodes provide efficient communication in terms of performance parameters such as throughput,energy efficiency,and end-to-end delay,wherein low latency is considered a challenging issue in next-generation networks(NGN).This paper introduces a single and parallels stable server queuing model with amulti-class of packets and native and coded packet flowto illustrate the simple chain topology and complexmultiway relay(MWR)node with specific neighbor ***,for improving data transmission capacity inMHWSNs,an analytical framework for packet transmission using network coding at the MWR node in the network layer with opportunistic listening is performed by considering bi-directional network flow at the MWR ***,the accuracy of the proposed multi-server multi-class queuing model is evaluated with and without network coding at the network layer by transmitting data *** results of the proposed analytical framework are validated and proved effective by comparing these analytical results to simulation results.

BACKGROUND Violence against healthcare workers(HCWs)in the Caribbean continues to prevail yet remains *** aim is to determine the cause,traits,and consequences of violence on HCWs in the *** To determine the cause,traits,and consequences of violence on HCWs in the *** This research adopted an online cross-sectional survey approach,spanning over eight weeks(between June 6th and August 9th,2022).The survey was generated using Research Electronic Data Capture forms and followed a snowballing strategy to contact individuals using emails,social media,text messages,*** regression analysis was performed to evaluate the variables that influence violence,including gender,age,years of experience,institution type,and night shift *** The survey was completed by 225 *** comprised 61%.Over 51%of respondents belonged to the 21 to 35 age ***(n=61),Haiti(n=50),and Grenada(n=31)had the most *** HCWs(49%)worked for government academic institutions,followed by community hospitals(23%).Medical students(32%),followed by attending physicians(22%),and others(16%)comprised the most common cadre of *** 39%of the participants reported experiencing violence themselves,and 18%reported violence against colleague(s).Verbal violence(48%),emotional abuse(24%),and physical misconduct(14%)were the most common types of *** 63%of respondents identified patients or their relatives as the most frequent *** logistic regression analyses demonstrated that female gender(OR=2.08;95%CI:1.16-3.76,P=0.014)and higher frequency of night shifts(OR=2.22;95%CI:1.08-4.58,P=0.030)were associated with significantly higher odds of experiencing *** than 50%of HCWs felt less motivated and had decreased job satisfaction post-violent *** A large proportion of HCWS in the Caribbean are exposed to violence,yet the phenomenon remains *** a result,HCWs’job s

River bankline migration is a frequent phenomenon in the river of the floodplain ***,channel dynamics-related changes in land use and land cover(LULC)are becoming a risk to the life and property of people living in the vicinity of rivers.A comprehensive evaluation of the causes and consequences of such changes is essential for better policy and decision-making for disaster risk reduction and *** present study assesses the changes in the Brahmaputra River planform using the GIS-based Digital Shoreline Analysis System(DSAS)and relates it with the changing LULC of the floodplain evaluated using the CA-Markov *** this study,the future channel of the Brahmaputra River and its flood plain’s future LULC were forecasted to pinpoint the erosion-vulnerable ***-eight years(1973–2021)of remotely sensed data were applied to estimate the rate of bankline *** was observed that the river’s erosion-accretion rate was higher in early times than in more recent *** left and right banks’average shifting rates between 1973 and 1988 were -55.44 m/y and -56.79 m/y,respectively,while they were-17.25 m/y and -48.49 m/y from 2011 to *** left bank of the river Brahmaputra had more erosion than the right,which indicates that the river is shifting in the leftward direction(Southward).In this river course,zone A(Lower course)and zone B(Middle course)were more adversely affected than zone C(Upper course).According to the predicted result,the left bank is more susceptible to bank erosion than the right bank(where the average rate of erosion and deposition was -72.23 m/y and 79.50 m/y,respectively).The left bank’s average rate of erosion was -111.22 m/*** research assesses the LULC study in conjunction with river channel dynamics in vulnerable areas where nearby infrastructure and settlements were at risk due to channel *** degree of accu-racy was verified using the actual bankline and predicted bankline,as well as the actual LULC map

The spatial transformations can be observed at different religious-historic towns of India due to urbanization. Research is based upon fact that there is substantial change in the built environment because of spatial transformations at the religious-historic towns. The process of modernization in the functions and spatial layout is unavoidable at any historic town. The study attempts to focus on various urban historic conservation components, including the look of historic buildings, their earlier uses, and its immediate surroundings to improve the built environment of historic towns. A theoretical framework for the urban conservation of ancient towns is the main objective of study. How to modernize the historic conservation function while preserving the space’s texture and integrity. The research started with the investigation of the morphological growth of Mathura district, India through satellite images and in-depth study of the evolution process of street network in Vrindavan town, which is one of the main temple towns of Mathura district. There is a significant difference in the layout & architectural character of old part and the newly developed Vrindavan. Due to increased accessibility and movement, the spatial structure of traditional religious precincts, which were once local integration centres, has significantly changed. Increasing & changing mode of transportation and further increase in the religious tourism might be the cause or a big reason for the spatial transformations and correspondingly there is a challenge to conserve & preserve the religious precincts of historic towns. The study tries to analyze spatial transformations with the help of Historical GIS at different scales of urban form. Suggestive measures to conserve the environmental ambience of religious-historic towns are the outcome of the research.
