Quantum secure communications could securely transmit quantum information by using quantum ***,novel applications such as bidirectional and asymmetric quantum protocols have been *** this paper,we propose a new method for generating entanglement which is highly useful for multiparty quantum communications such as teleportation and Remote State Preparation(RSP).As one of its applications,we propose a new type of quantum secure communications,*** RSP *** from a four-party controlled cyclic RSP protocol of one-qubit states,we show that this cyclic protocol can be generalized to a multiparty controlled cyclic RSP protocol for preparation of arbitrary qubit *** point out that previous bidirectional and asymmetric protocols can be regarded as a simpler form of our cyclic RSP protocols.

In this paper, we investigate a priori error estimates and superconvergence properties for a model optimal control problem of bilinear type, which includes some parameter estimation application. The state and co-state are discretized by piecewise linear functions and control is approximated by piecewise constant functions. We derive a priori error estimates and superconvergence analysis for both the control and the state approximations. We also give the optimal L^2-norm error estimates and the almost optimal L^∞-norm estimates about the state and co-state. The results can be readily used for constructing a posteriori error estimators in adaptive finite element approximation of such optimal control problems.

Background:A novel data-driven Boolean model,namely,the fundamental Boolean model(FBM),has been proposed to draw genetic regulatory insights into gene activation,inhibition,and protein decay,published in *** novel Boolean model facilitates the analysis of the activation and inhibition ***,the novel model does not handle the situation well,where genetic regulation might require more time steps to ***:Here,we propose extending the fundamental Boolean modelling to address the issue that some gene regulations might require more time steps to complete than *** denoted this extension model as the temporal fundamental Boolean model(TFBM)and related networks as the temporal fundamental Boolean networks(TFBNs).The leukaemia microarray datasets downloaded from the National Centre for Biotechnology Information have been adopted to demonstrate the utility of the proposed TFBM and ***:We developed the TFBNs that contain 285 components and 2775 Boolean rules based on TFBM on the leukaemia microarray datasets,which are in the form of short-time *** data contain gene expression measurements for 13 GC-sensitive children under therapy for acute lymphoblastic leukaemia,and each sample has three time points:0 hour(before GC treatment),6/8 hours(after GC treatment)and 24 hours(after GC treatment).Conclusion:We conclude that the proposed TFBM unlocks their predecessor’s limitation,Le.,FBM,that could help pharmaceutical agents identify any side effects on clinic-related *** hypotheses could be identified by analysing the extracted fundamental Boolean networks and analysing their up-regulatory and down-regulatory pathways.

Performance Analysis of Sparse Array based Massive MIMO via Joint Convex Optimization

Massive multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO)technology enables higher data rate transmission in the future mobile ***,exploiting a large number of antenna elements at base station(BS)makes effective implementation of massive MIMO challenging,due to the size and weight limits of the masssive MIMO that are located on each ***,in order to miniaturize the massive MIMO,it is crucial to reduce the number of antenna elements via effective methods such as sparse array *** this paper,a multiple-pattern synthesis is considered towards convex optimization(CO).The joint convex optimization(JCO)based synthesis is proposed to construct a codebook for ***,a criterion containing multiple constraints is developed,in which the sparse array is required to fullfill all ***,extensive evaluations are performed under realistic simulation *** results show that with the same number of antenna elements,sparse array using the proposed JCO-based synthesis outperforms not only the uniform array,but also the sparse array with the existing CO-based synthesis ***,with a half of the number of antenna elements that on the uniform array,the performance of the JCO-based sparse array approaches to that of the uniform array.

Numerical simulation is applied to detail the combustion characteristics of n-decane sprays in highly compressible vortices formed in a supersonic mixing layer. The multi-phase reacting flow is modeled, in which the shear flow is solved Eulerianly by means of direct numerical simulation, and the motions of individual sub-grid point-mass fuel droplets are tracked *** combustion behaviors are studied under different ambient pressures. Results indicate that ignition kernels are formed at high-strain vortex braids, where the scalar dissipation rates are *** flame kernels are then strongly strained, associated with the rotation of the shearing vortex, and propagate to envelop the local vortex. It is observed that the flammable mixtures entrained in the vortex are burned from the edge to the core of the vortex until the reactants are completely consumed. As the ambient pressure increases, the high-temperature region expands so that the behaviors of spray flames are strongly changed. An overall analysis of the combustion field indicates that the time-averaged temperature increases, and the fluctuating pressure decreases, resulting in a more stable spray combustion under higher pressures, primarily due to the acceleration of the chemical reaction.

On behalf of the Chen family, I would like to express sincere gratitude towards the JTS editorial office for this rare opportunity to write an article in the memory of my father. Last August, he peacefully departed at Beijing China-Japan Friendship Hospital due to complications caused by vasculitis. When he first fell ill, it appeared to be just a heavy cold. However, a mere eleven weeks after the first hospital visit for the "cold", he left us forever.

This paper reviews and adds to previous arguments for the thesis that Karl Popper was mistaken to have rejected hypothetico-deductive confirmation. By turning from the positive idea of verification to the negative idea of criticism, Popper believed that he had turned his back on induction. He believed he had ＂solved＂ the ＂problem of induction＂ by providing a non-inductive account of corroboration. Popper used the term ＂corroboration＂ rather than confirmation which he believed was too closely allied to the notion of the inductive or probabilistic support that a theory can receive from evidence. Wesley Salmon＇s （1967）＂concept of confirming evidence＂ and Clark Glymour＇s （1980）＂bootstrap conception of evidence for theory＂ both defended respectively the thesis that passed tests can be confirmed by evidence or warranted by the degree of probability. Using a sequence of symbols in logical form or analysis, I shall further defend the concept to hypothetico-deductive confirmation in order to show that the known weaknesses of Popper＇s critical rationalism are remediable, once the notion of evidence for theories is brought back into consideration.
