Fingerprints can serve as an information storage platform for individuals and play an important role in forensic investigation and security[1].Most of them are invisible to the naked eye and are called latent fingerprints(LFPs).Conventional imaging techniques suffer from limitations like low resolution and sensitivity[2],restricting the recognition of LFPs to macroscopic features,such as shape,core,ending,bifurcation,island,pores,and so on,which correspond to levels 1 and 2.Features of level 3 including ridges and their edges,are challenging to recognize.

In this study, the hyperbolic method is adopted to explore the flow field states of incompressible flow in a four-sided lid-driven square cavity. In particular, we focus on the flow bifurcation obtained at the critical Reynolds number . In the hyperbolic method, the diffusive term is transformed into a hyperbolic one by introducing a diffusion flux term, which is the solution of an additional equation. A classical Riemann-like solver with a finite-volume discretization is thus employed for the full flux (split into advective and diffusive parts), in order to solve the steady-state incompressible Navier-Stokes equation. The incompressibility of the flow is treated via the artificial pseudo-compressibility method. It is shown that our numerical code is able to detect the bifurcation by the analysis of the residual term relaxation during the pseudo-time iteration procedure. Moreover, depending on the combination choice of slope limiters for the two spatial directions, our method is able to select the first or the second stable solution among the double flow field state obtained when the Reynolds number is higher than the critical value that is estimated to be 129.4 in our study.

Three heteronuclear Ir^(Ⅲ)-Co^(Ⅱ)arrays,[Co(H_(2)O)6]_(2)[Ir(ppyCOO)(ppyCOOH)(bpy)]_(2)[Ir(ppyCOO)_(2)(bpy)]_(2)(NO_(3))2·10.5H_(2)O(2),[Co(H_(2)O)6]{Co-(H_(2)O)4[Ir(ppyCOO)_(2)(bpy)]_(2)}[Ir(ppyCOO)_(2)(bpy)]2·15H_(2)O(3)and{Co(H_(2)O)2[Ir(ppyCOO)_(2)(bpy)]_(2)}·2CH_(3)OH·3H_(2)O(4),have been synthe-sized by combining paramagnetic Co^(Ⅱ)ion with luminescent Ir^(Ⅲ)-metalloligand,[Ir(ppyCOOH)_(2)(bpy)][Ir(ppyCOO)_(2)(bpy)]·5H_(2)O(1),where ppyCOOH=3-(pyridin-2-yl)benzoic acid and bpy=2,2'-bipyridyl.Owing to the variable charged states of compound 1 at dif-ferent pH,compounds 2 and 3 are discrete ionic complexes containing hydrated Co^(2+)cations and deprotonated[Ir(ppyCOO)_(2)(bpy)]-anions as well as coexisting neutral[Ir(ppyCOO)(ppyCOOH)(bpy)](for 2)or Co(H_(2)O)_(4)[Ir(ppyCOO)_(2)(bpy)]_(2) trinuclear molecule(for 3).Whereas compound 4 consists of self-assembled two-dimensional coordination polymer with Co-metalloligand dative bonds.The hexa-coordinated Co^(Ⅱ)cores in all complexes display octahedral geometries with varying degrees of distortion.In a bias dc field,the ac susceptibilities for 2-4 reveal slow magnetic relaxation.Moreover,the solid-state phosphorescence is observed for compounds 2 and 3 due to weak supramolecular interaction between Co^(Ⅱ)ion and Ir-moiety but is severely quenched for 4,where the Co center is strongly connected to the metalloligand.To the best of our knowledge,this is the first report of Ir-Co systems showing both slow magnetization relaxation and photoluminescence.

The geometric constructions obtained with only straightedge and compass are famous and play a special role in the development of geometry. On the one hand, the constructibility of ?gures is a key ingredient in Euclid geometry and, on the other hand, unconstructibility gave birth to famous open problems of the ancient Greece which were unlocked only in the nineteenth century using discoveries in algebra. This paper discusses the mechanization of straightedge and compass constructions. It focuses on the algebraic approaches and presents two methods which are implemented; one is due to Lebesgue and the other one was jointly designed by Gao and Chou. Some links between the algebraic approach of constructions and synthetic geometry are described.

Introduction In december 2019,multiple cases of aggravated pneumonia of unidentified origin were reported inWuhan,China.These were confirmed to be caused by a novel coronavirus.The World Health Organization(WHO)named the disease coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).The International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses officially identified the novel virus severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARSCoV-2).[1]Although China is now a low endemic areawith a downward trend in the number of confirmed and suspected cases,[2]the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic remains critical.By mid-March 2022,the cumulative number of reported confirmed cases of COVID-19 worldwide exceeded 450 million,with more than 6 million deaths.[3]Since there is no specific therapeutic drug for the treatment of COVID-19,it is important to control the epidemic by actively promoting SARS-CoV-2 vaccination globally,reducing the risk of viral transmission and the incidence of severe COVID-19,thus improving prognoses.[4]

Observation of free oscillations after the 2010 Chile and 2011 Japan earthquakes by superconducting gravimeter in Kutch,Gujarat,India

In this paper,we present observations of free oscillations of the Earth after major earthquakes in Chile(February 27,2010,Mw8.8)and Japan(March 11,2011,Mw9.1)using data from the dual-sphere superconducting gravimeter(SG-055),installed at Badargadh(23°0.47 N,70°0.62 E),Kutch,Gujarat,India in March 2009.To see the noise characteristics,we calculated the power spectral density of the gravity time series of 5 quiet days in the frequency band 0.05-20 mHz using the new low noise model(NLNM)as a reference.We compared the noise level of the Badargadh site to other SG sites around the world.This shows that the Badargadh SG is in a low noise state.We find that the noise increases at frequencies below 1 mHz.Such a characteristic is also observed in Djougou(Afrique,Benin)and strasbourg(France).Using theoretical tides for Gujarat,we estimated a scale factor of about-814 nm/s~2/V for Gravl(lowersphere)and about-775 nm/s~2/V for Grav2(upper-sphere).We corrected the influence of atmospheric pressure from the one-second gravity data before switching to the frequency domain.We extracted a total of 53 Earth’s Free Oscillations(EFO)modes during the earthquake in Japan and about 47 EFO modes during the earthquake in Chile.We are able to extract the lowest0S2spheroidal mode(0.30945 mHz or54 min)and0S0radial mode(0.81439 mHz or 20 min).The longer time series shows individual0S2singlets and0S3(0.46855 mHz)singlets due to the Coriolis splitting effect.We cross-referenced the frequencies of these modes using the PREM model and previous global observations.The correlation coefficient between the observed and the PREM model for these two events are 0.999 for Japan earthquake and 0.993 for Chile earthquake.This validates the quality of the data useful for low-frequency studies in seismology.We also calculated the relative deviations of our observed fundamental modes with previously determined observed and theoretical values.We found that the relative deviations of our observed free oscillations do not exceed 0.5%,indicating good correlations

Rheumatoid arthritis(RA) is an autoimmune disease affecting 1% of the world population and is characterized by chronic inflammation of the joints sometimes accompanied by extra-articular manifestations. K/Bx N mice, originally described in 1996 as a model of polyarthritis, exhibit knee joint alterations. The aim of this study was to describe temporomandibular joint(TMJ)inflammation and damage in these mice. We used relevant imaging modalities, such as micro-magnetic resonance imaging(μMRI)and micro-computed tomography(μCT), as well as histology and immunofluorescence techniques to detect TMJ alterations in this mouse model. Histology and immunofluorescence for Col-I, Col-II, and aggrecan showed cartilage damage in the TMJ of K/Bx N animals, which was also evidenced by μCT but was less pronounced than that seen in the knee joints. μMRI observations suggested an increased volume of the upper articular cavity, an indicator of an inflammatory process. Fibroblast-like synoviocytes(FLSs)isolated from the TMJ of K/Bx N mice secreted inflammatory cytokines(IL-6 and IL-1β) and expressed degradative mediators such as matrix metalloproteinases(MMPs). K/Bx N mice represent an attractive model for describing and investigating spontaneous damage to the TMJ, a painful disorder in humans with an etiology that is still poorly understood.
