The development of insect appendages requires the expression of multiple genes in a strict spatial and temporal order. The odd-skipped family genes are vital transcriptional factors involved in embryonic development. The development and morphogenesis of the insect wing requires multiple transcription factors to regulate the expression of wing patterning genes at the transcriptional level. However, the function of odd-related genes in insect wing morphogenesis and development during postembryonic stages is unclear. We focused on the roles of the sister of odd and bowl (sob) gene, a member of odd-skipped family genes, during the wing morphopoiesis in Bombyx mori using the clustered regularly interspaced palindromic repeats (CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated protein 9 system and in Tribolium castaneum by RNA interference. The results showed that the wings were significantly smaller and degenerated, and wing veins were indistinct in the sob gene loss-of-function group in both B. mori and T. castaneum. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction revealed that the Tcsob gene regulated the expression of wing development genes, such as the cht 7 and the vg gene. The findings suggest the importance of sob gene in insect wing morphology formation during postembryonic stages.

Based on the same data source of Landsat TM/ETM+ in 1990s,2000s and 2010s,all urban built-up areas in China are mapped mainly by human *** results were checked and refined by the same analyst with the same set of *** results show during the last 20 years urban areas in China have increased exponentially more than 2 *** greatest area of urbanization changed from Northeastern provinces in 1990s to the Southeast coast of China in Jiangsu,Guangdong,Shandong,and Zhejiang in *** areas are mostly converted from croplands in *** 17750 km 2 croplands were converted into urban ***,the conversion from 2000 to 2010 doubled that from 1990 to *** the 20 years,the most urbanized provinces are Jiangsu,Guangdong,Shandong and *** also analyzed built-up areas,gross domestic production (GDP) and population of 147 cities with a population of greater than 500000 in *** result shows coastal cities and resource-based cities are with high economic efficiency per unit of built-up areas,resource-based cities have the highest population density,and the economic efficiency of most coastal provinces are lower than central provinces and *** newly created urban expansion dataset is useful in many fields including trend analysis of urbanization in China;simulation of urban development dynamics;analysis of the relationship among urbanization,population growth and migration;studies of carbon emissions and climate change;adaptation of climate change;as well as land use and urban planning and management.

This paper investigates two distributed accelerated primal-dual neurodynamic approaches over undirected connected graphs for resource allocation problems(RAP)where the objective functions are generally *** the help of projection operators,a primal-dual framework,and Nesterov's accelerated method,we first design a distributed accelerated primal-dual projection neurodynamic approach(DAPDP),and its convergence rate of the primal-dual gap is O(1/(t^(2)))by selecting appropriate parameters and initial ***,when the local closed convex sets are convex inequalities which have no closed-form solutions of their projection operators,we further propose a distributed accelerated penalty primal-dual neurodynamic approach(DAPPD)on the strength of the penalty method,primal-dual framework,and Nesterov's accelerated *** on the above analysis,we prove that DAPPD also has a convergence rate O(1/(t^(2)))of the primal-dual *** with the distributed dynamical approaches based on the classical primal-dual framework,our proposed distributed accelerated neurodynamic approaches have faster convergence *** simulations demonstrate that our proposed neurodynamic approaches are feasible and effective.

To improve the recognition rate of signal modulation recognition methods based on the clustering algorithm under the low SNR, a modulation recognition method is proposed. The characteristic parameter of the signal is extracted by using a clustering algorithm, the neural network is trained by using the algorithm of variable gradient correction （Polak-Ribiere） so as to enhance the rate of convergence, improve the performance of recognition under the low SNR and realize modulation recognition of the signal based on the modulation system of the constellation diagram. Simulation results show that the recognition rate based on this algorithm is enhanced over 30% compared with the methods that adopt clustering algorithm or neural network based on the back propagation algorithm alone under the low SNR. The recognition rate can reach 90% when the SNR is 4 dB, and the method is easy to be achieved so that it has a broad application prospect in the modulating recognition.

Detecting changes in vegetation,distinguishing the persistence of changes,and seeking their causes during multiple periods are important to gaining a deeper understanding of vegetation *** the Global Inventory Modeling and Mapping Studies Normalized Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI)version NDVI_(3g) dataset in the Tibetan Plateau,the trends in the seasonal components of NDVI and their linkage with climatic factors were analyzed over 14 asymptotic periods of 18–31 years since *** trends in vegetation experienced an obvious increase at regional scale,but the increases of vegetation activity mostly tended to stall or slow down as the studied time period was *** pixel scale,areas with significant browning significantly expanded over 14 periods for all seasons,but for significant greening significantly increased only in *** changes of vegetation activity in spring were the most drastic among three *** increments of NDVI in summer,spring,and autumn took turns being the main reason for the enhanced vegetation activity in the growing season in the nested 14 *** activity was mainly regulated by a thermal factor,and the dominant climatic drivers of vegetation growth varied across different seasons and *** speculate that the increase of NDVI will continue but the increments will decline in all seasons except autumn.

A new shedding phenomenon of ventilated partial cavitations is observed around an axisymmetric projectile in a horizontal launching *** experiment system is established based on SHPB launching and high speed photography.A numerical simulation is carried out based on the homogeneous mixture approach,and its predicted evolutions of cavities are compared with the experimental *** cavity breaks off by the interaction between the gas injection and the re-entry jet at the middle location of the projectile,which is obviously different from natural *** mechanism of cavity breaking and shedding is investigated,and the influences of important factors are also discussed.

Ser/Thr protein phosphatase 2A(PP2A)is one of the type 2 protein phosphatases,which is required for many intracellular physiological processes and pathogen ***,the function of PP2A is unclear in silkworm,Bombyx ***,we cloned and identified BmPP2A,a PP2A gene from ***,which has two HEAT domains and a high similarity to PP2A from other *** results showed that BmPP2A is localized in the cytoplasm and highly expressed in silkworm epidermis and midgut,and that Bombyx mori nucleopolyhedrovirus(BmNPV)infection induces down-regulation of BmPP2A ***,up-regulation of BmPP2A via overexpression significantly inhibited BmNPV *** contrast,down-regulation of BmPP2A via RNA interference and okadaic acid(a PP2A inhibitor)treatment allowed robust BmNPV *** is the first report of PP2A having an antiviral effect in silkworm and provides insights into the function of BmPP2A,a potential anti-BmNPV mechanism,and a possible target for the breeding of silkworm-resistant strains.
