Plenty of high-resolution paleoclimate investigations of the last thousand years were carried out to potentially predict future climate *** ombrotrophic peatland is one of the best recorders for high-resolution paleoclimate studies in the forest *** size analysis was carried out on ombrotrophic peat profile in the eastern mountainous region of Jilin Province,Northeast *** peat profile lasts the past 2000 a by four radiocarbon(AMs14C)*** results showed that the inorganic minerals in the peat profile are mainly silt,with some contribution from clay and a minor amount of sand,which are mainly due to wind dust and suspended *** paleoclimate stages are found in this peat profile by phytolith analysis,peat cellulose isotope research and historical documents:ca.45–1550 AD,relatively cold period;ca.1550 AD–present,relatively warm *** finding is important for the initial study of paleoclimatic changes over the last 2000 a in the mountainous area of eastern mountainous area,Jilin Province,Northeast China.

To promote the development of extracellular vesicles of herbal medicine especially the establishment of standardization,led by the National Expert committee on Research and Application of Chinese Herbal Vesicles,research experts in the field of herbal medicine and extracellular vesicles were invited nationwide with the support of the Expert committee on Research and Application of Chinese Herbal Vesicles,Professional committee on Extracellular Vesicle Research and Application,Chinese society of Research Hospitals and the Guangdong Engineering Research Center of Chinese Herbal *** on the collation of relevant literature,we have adopted the Delphi method,the consensus meeting method combined with the nominal group method to form a discussion draft of“Consensus statement on research and application of Chinese herbal medicine derived extracellular vesicles-like particles(2023)”.The first draft was discussed in online and offline meetings on October 12,14,November 2,2022 and April and May 2023 on the current status of research,nomenclature,isolation methods,quality standards and research applications of extracellular vesicles of Chinese herbal medicines,and 13 consensus opinions were finally *** the Third Academic Conference on Research and Application of Chinese Herbal Vesicles,held on May 26,2023,Kewei Zhao,convenor of the consensus,presented and read the consensus to the experts of the Expert committee on Research and Application of Chinese Herbal *** consensus highlights the characteristics and advantages of Chinese medicine,inherits the essence,and keeps the righteousness and innovation,aiming to provide a reference for colleagues engaged in research and application of Chinese herbal vesicles at home and abroad,decode the mystery behind Chinese herbal vesicles together,establish a safe,effective and controllable accurate Chinese herbal vesicle prevention and treatment system,and build a bridge for Chinese medicine to the world.

Malnutrition in early life increases the risk of osteoporosis,but the association of early-life undernutrition combined with adulthood obesity patterns with low-energy fracture remains *** study included 5323 community-dwelling subjects aged⩾40 years from ***-life famine exposure was identified based on the participants’birth *** obesity was assessed using the body mass index(BMI),and abdominal obesity was evaluated with the waist-to-hip ratio(WHR).Low-energy fracture was defined as fracture occurring after the age of⩾40 typically caused by falls from standing height or *** to the nonexposed group,the group with fetal,childhood,and adolescence famine exposure was associated with an increased risk of fracture in women with odds ratios(ORs)and 95%confidence intervals(CIs)of 3.55(1.57–8.05),3.90(1.57–9.71),and 3.53(1.05–11.88),respectively,but not in *** interactions were observed between fetal famine exposure and general obesity with fracture among women(P for interaction=0.0008).Furthermore,compared with the groups with normal BMI and WHR,the group of women who underwent fetal famine exposure and had both general and abdominal obesity had the highest risk of fracture(OR,95%CI:3.32,1.17–9.40).These results indicate that early-life famine exposure interacts with adulthood general obesity and significantly increases the risk of low-energy fracture later in life in women.

BACKGROUND： The onset of focal cerebral ischemia activates extracellular signal-regulated kinases 1 and 2, regulates cell cycle, promotes cell proliferation and differentiation, and affects the normal stage and function of brain cells. OBJECTIVE： To observe the effects of electroacupuncture at the Ren channel on extracellular signal-regulated kinases 1/2 expression in the lateral cerebral ventricle wall of rats with focal cerebral ischemia. The effects were analyzed at different time points after intervention. DEsIGN： Randomized controlled study. sETTING： Department of Anatomy, sun Yat-sen University. MATERIALs： A total of 60 healthy adult male Wistar rats weighing （250±10） g were provided by the Experimental Animal Center, Medical College of sun Yat-sen University. The animal experiment was conducted with confirmed consent by the local ethics committee. The GB6805-Ⅱ electric acupuncture apparatus was provided by shanghai Medical Equipment High-techno Company. METHODs： The experiment was performed at the Laboratory of Anatomy, sun Yat-sen University, from February to July 2007. All experimental animals were randomly divided into the following groups： normal group （n = 6）, sham operation group （n = 18）, model group （n = 18）, and electroacupuncture group （n = 18）. Middle cerebral artery occlusion （MCAO） was performed in the model group and electroacupuncture group. Zea Longa＇s grading standard was used to assess neurological impairment after reperfusion; animals whose grades were between l and 4 were included in this study. The normal control group was not exposed to MCAO. In sham operation animals, the right common carotid artery （CCA） was isolated, and the external carotid artery （ECA） was damaged, but no embolism was induced. The electroacupuncture group was given acupuncture on the second day after surgery. Because China is becoming an aging society,the incidence of diabetes and diabetic foot have been *** foot has become one of the main health-related killers due to its high disability and mortality *** pressure wound therapy(NPWT)is one of the most effective techniques for the treatment of diabetic foot wounds and great progress,both in terms of research and its clinical application,has been made in the last 20 years of its ***,due to the complex pathogenesis and management of diabetic foot,irregular application of NPWT often leads to complications,such as infection,bleeding and necrosis,that seriously affect its treatment *** 2020,under the leadership of Burns,Trauma and Tissue Repair committee of the Cross-straits Medicine Exchange Association,the writing group for‘Consensus on the application of negative pressure wound therapy of diabetic foot wounds’was established with the participation of scholars from the specialized areas of burns,endocrinology,vascular surgery,orthopedics and wound *** on evidence-based practice suggested by the latest clinical research,this consensus proposes the best clinical practice guidelines for the application and prognostic evaluation of NPWT for diabetic *** consensus aims to support the formation of standardized treatment schemes that clinicians can refer to when treating cases of diabetic foot.

The Danxia landform of Qiyun Mountain is mainly developed on the red granule conglomerates named Xiaoyan Group （K2x^1） of middle Cretaceous series, which is controlled mainly by three faulted zones, namely, Jingdezhen-Qimen faulted zone, Jiangwan-Jiekou compressional faulted zone and Kaihua-Chun＇an folding faulted zone. During the Cretaceous period, this area firstly experienced massif subsidence to become a continental faulted basin, then having thick Cretaceous red sediments accumulated on it. In the supervened neotectonism, this area experienced an uplifting process, which made the thick Cretaceous sediments into a mountain with an altitude of 500-600 m. After undergoing the processes of vertical joint development, weathering, denudation and transportation, as well as evidently differential weathering and denudation influenced by lithology and structure between sandstone and conglomerate, the grand Danxia landscape consisting of peak forests, steep cliffs, caves, mesas, castellated peaks, natural bridges and so on formed. The three nick points located respectively at 585 m, 400 m and 150 m generally reflect the three dominated uplifting processes during the neotectonism.

The functional recovery of peripheral nerve injury(PNI)is unsatisfactory,whereas diabetes mellitus(DM)and its related complications further attenuate the restoration of diabetic PNI(DPNI).Adipose-derived stem cells(ADsCs)are promising candidates for treatment of DPNI due to their abundant source,excellent differentiation and paracrine *** results showed that ADsCs remarkably enhanced the proliferation and migration of schwann cells and endothelial cells,and tube ***,ADsCs could regulate Nrf2/HO-1,NF-κB and PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathways,showing multiple functions in reducing oxidative stress and inflammation,and regulating cell metabolism,growth,survival,proliferation,angiogenesis,differentiation of schwann cell and myelin *** current study,novel graphene foam(GF)/hydrogel-based scaffold was developed to deliver ADsCs for treatment of ***/hydrogel scaffold exhibited excellent mechanical strength,suitable porous network,superior electrical conductivity,and good *** vitro results revealed that GF/hydrogel scaffold could obviously accelerate proliferation of schwann ***,in vivo experiments demonstrated that ADsCs-loaded GF/hydrogel scaffold significantly promoted the recovery of DPNI and inhibited the atrophy of targeted muscles,thus providing a novel and attractive therapeutic approach for DPNI patients.
