The M1/M2 phenotypic shift of microglia after spinal cord injury plays an important role in the regulation of neuroinflammation during the secondary injury phase of spinal cord *** of shifting microglia polarization from M1(neurotoxic and proinflammatory type)to M2(neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory type)after spinal cord injury appears to be *** possesses an anti-inflammatory biological ***,its roles and the underlying molecular mechanisms in spinal cord injury remain *** this study,we found that tryptanthrin inhibited microglia-derived inflammation by promoting polarization to the M2 phenotype in *** promoted M2 polarization through inactivating the cGAs/sTING/NF-κB ***,we found that targeting the cGAs/sTING/NF-κB pathway with tryptanthrin shifted microglia from the M1 to M2 phenotype after spinal cord injury,inhibited neuronal loss,and promoted tissue repair and functional recovery in a mouse model of spinal cord ***,using a conditional co-culture system,we found that microglia treated with tryptanthrin suppressed endoplasmic reticulum stress-related neuronal *** together,these results suggest that by targeting the cGAs/sTING/NF-κB axis,tryptanthrin attenuates microglia-derived neuroinflammation and promotes functional recovery after spinal cord injury through shifting microglia polarization to the M2 phenotype.

Clinical effect of laparoscopic radical resection of colorectal cancer based on propensity score matching

BACKGROUND The incidence of colorectal cancer(CRC)is increasing *** radical resection of CRC is a minimally invasive procedure preferred in clinical *** To investigate the clinical effect of laparoscopic radical resection of CRC on the basis of propensity score matching(PsM).METHODs The clinical data of 100 patients who received inpatient treatment for CRC at changde hospital,Xiangya school of Medicine,Central south University(the first people’s hospital of changde city)were analyzed *** control group included patients who underwent open surgery(n=43),and those who underwent laparoscopic surgery formed the observation group(n=57).The baseline information of both groups was equipoised using 1×1 *** in the perioperative parameters,inflammatory response,immune function,degree of pain,and physical status between the groups were *** Thirty patients from both groups were successfully *** PsM,baseline data showed no statistically significant differences between the groups:(1)Periop-erative parameters:The observation group had a longer surgery time,less intra-operative blood loss,earlier first ambulation and first anal exhaust times,and shorter gastric tube indwelling time than the control group;(2)Inflammatory response:24 h after surgery,the levels of interleukin-6(IL-6),C-reactive protein(CRP),and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)between groups were higher than ***-6,CRP,and TNF-αlevels in the observation group were lower than in the control group;(3)Immune function:At 24 h after surgery,counts of CD4-positive T-lymphocytes(CD4+)and CD4+/CD8-positive T-lymphocytes(CD8+)in both groups were lower than those before surgery,whereas CD8+was higher than that before *** 24 h after surgery,both CD4+counts and CD4+/CD8+in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,whereas CD8+counts were lower;(4)Degree of pain:The visual analog scale scores in the observation gro

Therapeutic effect analysis on the treatment of congenital glaucoma through modified combined trabeculotomy-trabeculectomy

AIM： To evaluate the therapeutic effect and the safety of the treatment of congenital glaucoma through modified combined trabeculotomy-trabeculectomy. METHODs： The clinical data of 27 cases （altogether 42 eyes）, which included 7 cases of infants （10 eyes） and 20 cases of teenagers （32 eyes）, of congenital glaucoma undertook modified combined trabeculotomy trabeculectomy were analyzed retrospectively. The parameters evaluated included the post operation visual acuity, the anterior chamber, the filtering bleb, the intraocular pressure, the C/D ratio, visual field, the retinal nerve fiber layer changes and the complications. REsULTs： The follow-up period was 1 to 29mo, averaging 13.3 ±7.7mo. Upon the last visit after the operation, functional filtering blebs developed in all the involved eyes. The intraocular pressure was controlled under 21 mm Hg, which was decreased by 60% when compared with that before the operation, without using any medication. There were no significant changes in the post operation visual acuity and the retinal nerve fiber layer thickness before and after the operation in teenager group （P〉0.05）, and both the post operation C/D ratio and the visual field mean defect （MD） were reduced compared with those before the operation （P〈0.05）. There were no severe complications in any of the patients. CONCLUsION： The modified combined trabeculotomy- trabeculectomy can effectively reduce the intraocular pressure and control the development of glaucoma in cases of congenital glaucoma. It is a safe and effective operative method for the treatment of congenital glaucoma
