The safety and effectiveness of magnetic resonance-guided focused ultrasound thalamotomy has been broadly established and validated for the treatment of essential *** 2018,the first magnetic resonance-guided focused ultrasound system in Chinese mainland was installed at the first medical center of the pla general *** prospective,single center,open-label,single-arm study was part of a worldwide prospective multicenter clinical trial(*** Identifier:NCT03253991)conducted to confirm the safety and efficacy of magnetic resonance-guided focused ultrasound for treating essential tremor in the local *** 2019 to 2020,10 patients with medication refractory essential tremor were recruited into this open-label,single arm *** treatment efficacy was determined using the Clinical Rating Scale for *** was evaluated according to the incidence and severity of adverse *** of the subjects underwent a unilateral thalamotomy targeting the ventral intermediate *** the baseline assessment,the estimated marginal mean of the Clinical Rating Scale for Tremor total score was 58.3±3.6,and this improved after treatment to 23.1±6.4 at a 12-month follow-up assessment.A total of 50 adverse events were recorded,and 2 were defined as *** most common intraoperative adverse events were nausea and *** most frequent postoperative adverse events were paresthesia and equilibrium *** of the adverse events were mild and usually disappeared within a few *** findings suggest that magnetic resonance-guided focused ultrasound for the treatment of essential tremor is effective,with a good safety profile,for patients in Chinese mainland.

Real-Time 3D Ultrasound Imaging System Based on a Hybrid Reconstruction Algorithm

As a safe and convenient imaging technology in clinical routine diagnosis, ultrasound imaging can provide real-time 2D images of internal tissues and organs. To realize real-time 3D image reconstruction, pixel nearest neighbor interpolation(PNN) reconstruction algorithm and Bezier interpolation algorithm are combined into a hybrid reconstruction algorithm. On this basis, a real-time interactive 3D ultrasound imaging system is *** temporal calibration and spatial calibration, the six degrees of freedom poses of 2D ultrasound images can be accurately collected. The 3D volume reconstructed by the proposed 3D reconstruction algorithm is visualized by volume rendering. A multi-thread software system allows parallel operation of data acquisition, 3D reconstruction,volume visualization and other functions. 3D imaging experiments on a 3D printing femur model, a neck phantom and the neck of human volunteers were performed for systematic evaluation. When the reconstruction voxel size was set to be(0.53 mm3, 1.03 mm3, 1.53 mm3), the reconstruction errors of the femur and trachea model were respectively(0.23 mm, 0.31 mm, 0.56 mm) and(0.62 mm, 0.88 mm, 1.41 mm). Clinical feasibility was demonstrated by application of the 3D ultrasound imaging on the neck of human volunteers.

Exploration of potential biomarkers and therapeutic targets for trauma-related acute kidney injury

Purpose:Acute kidney injury(AKI)is one of the most common functional injuries observed in trauma ***,certain trauma medications may exacerbate renal ***,the early detection of trauma-related AKI holds paramount importance in improving trauma ***:Qualified datasets were selected from public databases,and common differentially expressed genes related to trauma-induced AKI and hub genes were identified through enrichment analysis and the establishment of protein-protein interaction(PPI)***,the specificity of these hub genes was investigated using the sepsis dataset and conducted a comprehensive literature review to assess their *** raw data from both datasets were downloaded using R software(version 4.2.1)and processed with the"affy"package19 for correction and ***:Our analysis revealed 585 upregulated and 629 downregulated differentially expressed genes in the AKI dataset,along with 586 upregulated and 948 downregulated differentially expressed genes in the trauma ***,the establishment of the PPI network and subsequent topological analysis highlighted key hub genes,including CD44,CD163,TIMP metallopeptidase inhibitor 1,cytochrome b-245 beta chain,versican,membrane spanning 4-domains A4A,mitogen-activated protein kinase 14,and early growth response ***,their receiver operating characteristic curves displayed areas exceeding 75%,indicating good diagnostic ***,our findings postulated a unique molecular mechanism underlying trauma-related ***:This study presents an alternative strategy for the early diagnosis and treatment of trauma-related AKI,based on the identification of potential biomarkers and therapeutic ***,this study provides theoretical references for elucidating the mechanisms of trauma-related AKI.

BackgroundEmerging evidence suggests that minimal acute kidney injury (stage 1 AKI) is associated with increased hospital mortality rates. However, for those who do not meet the AKI diagnostic criteria, whether a small increase in serum creatinine (SCr) levels is associated with an increased mortality rate in elderly patients is not known. Therefore, we aimed to investigate small elevations in SCr of center cohort study enrolling consecutive elderly patients (≥75 years) who received invasive MV from January 2008 to December 2020. Recursive partitioning was used to calculate the ratio of SCr rise from baseline within 48 h after MV and divided into six groups, (1) general conditions and clinical characteristics were compared between the six groups. Prognostic survival factors were identified using Cox regression analysis. Kaplan–Meier survival analysis was employed for the accumulative survival *** total of 1292 patients (1171 men) with a median age of 89 (interquartile range: 85–92) with MV were suitable for further analysis. In all, 376 patients had any stage of early AKI, and 916 patients had no AKI. Among 916 non-AKI patients, 349 patients were in the ratio <10%, 291 in the 10%–<20% group, 169 in the 20%–<30% group, 68 in the 30%–<40% group, 25 in the 40%–<50% group, and 14 in the ≥50% group. Transcriptome analysis suggests broad jejunal alterations in Linghu’s obesity-diarrhea syndrome:A pilot study
