Assessing rangeland productivity is critical to reduce ecological degradation and promote sustainable livestock ***,we estimated biomass productivity and carrying capacity dynamics in the Borana rangeland of southern Ethiopia by using field-based data and remote sensing data(i.e.,normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI)).Data was collected from both rainy and dry seasons when biomass production was high and low *** of linear regression showed that both biomass production(R^(2)_(adj)=0.672)and NDVI value(R^(2)_(adj)=0.471)were significantly decreased from 1990 to *** data and NDVI values for mean annual biomass showed a significant linear *** model accuracy in the annual relationship between the observed and predicted biomass values was strong(R^(2)_(adj)=0.986)but with high standard error,indicating that the observed biomass production in the rangeland area was not in good condition as compared with the predicted *** study suggests that,using NDVI data and field-based data in combined way has high potential to estimate rangeland biomass and carrying capacity dynamics at extensively grazed arid and semi-arid *** to use for estimating stoking rates and predicting future management techniques for decision making.

Background:Vacuum sealing drainage(VSD)and epidermal growth factor(EGF)both play an important role in the treatment of *** study aims to explore the effects of the combination of VSD and EGF on wound healing and the optimal concentration and time of ***:We tested the proliferation and migration capacity of HaCaT and L929 cells at different EGF concentrations(0,1,5,10,and 100ng/ml)and different EGF action times(2,10,and 30min).A full-thickness skin defect model was established using male,30-week-old Bama *** experiment included groups as follows:routine dressing change after covering with sterile auxiliary material(control),continuous negative pressure drainage of the wound(VSD),continuous negative pressure drainage of the wound and injection of EGF 10min followed by removal by continuous lavage(V+E 10min),and continuous negative pressure drainage of the wound and injection of EGF 30min followed by removal by continuous lavage(V+E 30min).The wound healing rate,histological repair effect and collagen deposition were compared among the four ***:An EGF concentration of 10ng/ml and an action time of 10min had optimal effects on the proliferation and migration capacities of HaCaT and L929 *** drug dispersion effect was better than drug infusion after bolus injection effect,and the contact surface was *** with other groups,the V+E 10min group promoted wound healing to the greatest extent and obtained the best histological ***:A recombinant human epidermal growth factor(rhEGF)concentration of 10 ng/ml can promote the proliferation and migration of epithelial cells and fibroblasts to the greatest extent in *** combined with rhEGF kept in place for 10min and then washed,can promote wound healing better than the other treatments in vitro.

Background Alveolar echinococcosis （AE） is a disease in human and animals, and the cure rate is unsatisfactory. This study aimed to investigate the curative efficacy of different doses of locally applied radiotherapy on alveolar echinococcosis in rats. Methods Rats infected with Echinococcus multilocularis were randomly divided into 4 groups of 15 rats each： low-, middle-, and high-irradiation groups and a control group. Rats in the control group underwent no treatment, while rats in the irradiation groups received 6-MeV radiotherapy at 20 Gy/8 f, 40 Gy/8 f, and 60 Gy/8 f respectively, once every 3 days for a total of 8 times. One month after radiotherapy, wet weight and AE vesicle inhibitory rate were detected in rats of each group. Histopathologic and ultrastructural observations of tissues with AE lesions were performed. Results In the treatment groups, an obvious inhibitory effect was found in AE rats; the inhibitory rates were 50%, 72%, and 82%, respectively. There were also statistical differences in pathological changes and average wet weight of the lesions compared with the control group （P 〈0.05）. In the treatment groups, injuries of various degrees were found in the ultrastructure of the laminated and germinal layers in the capsular wall of AE, and injury was most severe in the high-dose group. Conclusion Radiotherapy has a dose-dependent inhibitory effect on the arowth of AE.

Objective:Real-world diagnostic and treatment data for pancreatic cancer in China are *** such,the present study investigated the clinical characteristics,diagnosis,and treatment of advanced pancreatic cancer(including locally advanced and metastatic disease)in the Hospital-based Advanced Pancreatic Cancer Cohort in China of the China Pancreas Data center ***:A total of 5349 Chinese patients with advanced pancreatic cancer were identified from a *** entire course of real-world pancreatic cancer management was ***:The proportion of patients with advanced pancreatic cancer was higher among males than females(62.4%vs 37.6%,respectively).Patients typically had a history of hypertension(30.8%),diabetes(21.6%),and cholangitis(20.2%).Abdominal pain(51.6%),abdominal distension(27.1%),jaundice(20.1%),and weight loss(16.3%)were the main symptoms observed in patients with advanced pancreatic cancer in this *** carbohydrate antigen(CA)19-9 is one of the most common tumor *** the present study,2562 patients underwent first-line *** median progression-free survival(PFS)for patients undergoing first-line therapy was 4.1 *** major options for first-line therapy included gemcitabine(GEM)plus S-1(GS/X)(23.4%),nab-paclitaxel plus GEM(AG)(18.1%),oxaliplatin,irinotecan,and leucovorin-modulated fluorouracil(FOLFIRINOX;11.9%),nab-paclitaxel plus S-1(AS)(8.9%),and GEM combined with oxaliplatin/cisplatin(GEMOX/GP)(7.6%).The AS and GS/X regimens were associated with the highest PFS ***:This is the first study to report multicenter,real-world data regarding advanced pancreatic cancer in *** revealed that real-world treatment options differed from guideline recommendations,and PFS was shorter than that in previously reported *** intelligent follow-up systems and standardizing diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer is recommended.

This study investigates the relationship between hyperuricemia and metabolic syndrome(MS)among males of Han ethnicity in the xinjiang uygur autonomous region,*** blood samples were collected from January to May,2006 in *** included 1496 subjects with ages between 20 to 70 *** these subjects had physical examinations,blood pressure(BP)measurement and analysis for serum uric acid(SUA),fasting blood sugar(FBS),serum triglycer-ide(TG),serum total cholesterol(TC),serum high den-sity lipoprotein(HDL-C)and serum low density lipoprotein(LDL-C)as well as biochemistry *** Data were analyzed using the Pearson Chi-Square Test,Independent-Samples T-Test and the Mantel-Haenszel Test for linear trend,*** results show that the prevalence of MS in the present study was 18%.Blood pressure,fasting blood sugar,body mass index(BMI),waist/hip ratio(WHR),TG,TC and LDL-C were significantly higher in the hyperuricemic group than in normal group and these parameters were strongly related to serum uric acid *** com-ponents of metabolic syndrome such as obesity,hyper-glycemia,hypertension and dyslipidemia had a close correlation with *** Odds ratios of these meta-bolic diseases in the hyperuricemic group were 3.097 times,2.633 times,2.226 times and 3.058 times of the normal SUA group,*** all have a positive correlation with ***-mia is closely linked to the various components of the metabolic *** emphasis should be put on the evolving control and prevalence of hyperuricemia and metabolic syndrome among males of Han ethnicity in xinjiang.

Objective:This cross-sectional study aimed to determine the epidemiology of olfactory and gustatory dysfunctions related to COVID-19 in ***:This study was conducted by 45 tertiary Grade-A hospitals in *** and offline questionnaire data were obtained from patients infected with COVID-19 between December 28,2022,and February 21,*** collected information included basic demographics,medical history,smoking and drinking history,vaccination history,changes in olfactory and gustatory functions before and after infection,and other postinfection symptoms,as well as the duration and improvement status of olfactory and gustatory ***:Complete questionnaires were obtained from 35,566 *** overall incidence of olfactory and taste dysfunction was 67.75%.Being female or being a cigarette smoker increased the likelihood of developing olfactory and taste *** received four doses of the vaccine or having good oral health or being a alcohol drinker decreased the risk of such *** infection,the average olfactory and taste VAS scores were 8.41 and 8.51,respectively;after infection,they decreased to 3.69 and 4.29 and recovered to 5.83 and 6.55 by the time of the *** median duration of dysosmia and dysgeusia was 15 and 12 days,respectively,with 0.5%of patients having symptoms lasting for more than 28 *** overall self-reported improvement rate was 59.16%.Recovery was higher in males,never smokers,those who received two or three vaccine doses,and those that had never experienced dental health issues,or chronic accompanying ***:The incidence of dysosmia and dysgeusia following infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus is high in *** and prognosis are influenced by several factors,including sex,SARS-CoV-2 vaccination,history of head-facial trauma,nasal and oral health status,smoking and drinking history,and the persistence of accompanying symptoms.
